please help.. my ipod was disabled . i tried all the instruction above and then as i went to the process i clicked "restore ipod" as i did
something pop out says "ipod software update" so i agreed to it. then on my itunes its downloading and it will take 5hrs..!!

Sometimes it takes that long to download the firmware file. My experience is that it speeds up later.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

HT1212 Please help! My Ipod wont connect to Itunes and has a thing I have never seen on the screen before.

When I plug in my Ipod touch it has a symbol on it saying connect to Itunes. When I connect it to Itunes it says I need to unlock my Ipod before I can connect to Itunes but my Ipod touch wont even let me put a code in, it just has that symbol. I tried uninstalling Itunes and restarting the computer then installing Itunes again but nothing changed. I have never heard of this before so I don't know what to do!

Im trying to restore my old iphone with my new one. Old phone is off and backed up to icloud and computer. When i plug in the new phone to itunes, it has this error message: Cannot connect to iphone . It is locked with a passcode. If i do not remember anything about inputting a passcode for my backup, is there a way to recover my password? Or another way to restore my new iphone with the data on the computer w/o the "backup passcode"?

A data recovery company MAY be able to do it for a price. The Disabled is a very good security feature.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again.
