so i forgot my ipod touch passcode.   i have no access to a computer. hiw can i reset it

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe by on a computer/s browser, going to icloud.com>FindMyiPhone

I own a iPod touch and I have an iTunes account but all i can download is podcasts no games or music.when I try to download games it says "request cannot be completed " could there be a problem with it ?
    Please help

Honestly, these are WAGs but they're all that I can think of.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • My iPod Touch 4G is no longer accessing my router, yet it can access other routers.

I awoke this morning to find my iPod touch was not connected to the internet, "No big deal" I thought, and went to go connect in the settings. When I went to the settings I clicked on my router and typed in my password correctly, and I waited for it to connect. And waited. And waited. No dice. I turned my iPod on and off again, hoping it would fix it. It didn't. I just went to school without a thought about it. It connected at my school and got full internet access, so I figured it just fixed itself, but when I went home it STILL wasn't working. My laptop and everything else can connect EXCEPT my ipod.
    Any help with this?
Also I am running on a belkin router and I use windows 7 if that helps with anything.

I cannot reset the iPod itself as the home button is broken and I use the assistive touch on-screen button, which won't let me reset it.
I didn't even notice the reset thing there :O
I'll try this out and see if it works
    It didn't.
    I'll try resetting my router.

  • My daughter forgot her passcode on her new ipod touch.  How do I access it?  The message says ipod disabled.  I've tried resetting by holding on/off and home but hasn't worked

My daughter forgot her passcode on her brand new ipod touch.  How do I access it now?  The message reads, "ipod disabled".  I've tried holding the on/off button and home button until I see an apple.  Then asks me to connect to itunes.  When trying to connect to itunes, it will not let me as it asks for the ipod touch's passcode (which we do not have!)  What next?

Did you use the instructions I provided in the document above?  It can be a bit tricky getting the device into recovery mode.  Try a few more times.
What happens if you try DFU mode?

  • I forgot my ipod touch 5 passcode, itunes wont let me restore

Okay so heres the problem: i have forgotten my password to my 5th gen. Ipod touch. I have tried restoring it, didn't work because of the find my ipod thing. So i put it in DFU mode and itunes told me that it could take up to 60 hours to update and restore. My mother kinda flipped at the idea, but said okay go with it. Half an hour later the whole thing was interrupted  and little box came up and said it timed out. I really need help here please! I'm using my old ipod

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
    - Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
    - Then try on another computer
