completely uninstall itunes and all its components see this and follow to the T.

We have two iphone in our house. When I plug in my phone, my number shows up but it syns with my daughter's phone. How can I change this so that I can save my stuff and not hers.

Is it possible to have itunes just see the stuff from my phone when I plug it in. I have had to create a new contacts list and I want to store it in itunes because this phone is a back-up phone. My regular iphone is being repaired. When I get back the phone from repairs, I want to be able to sync it so that itunes sees my contacts and not my daughters stuff. Is this possible?

Since it told me to update, I updated to 10.7.
Then when I plugged in the phone again, it gave the same message that I need to update itunes.

Was this book downloaded using iBooks, or from another application? If it was from iBooks you will need to install that application to delete it.

You should be able to resync your iPhone to iTunes with your account on your computer.

My additional advice:
Also Error 21 can occur with DFU Mode Restore, try Recovery Mode Restore. Restart computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click Restore button of iTunes.

Try the stamdard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

I don't know the answer to your problem, but while (or until) you try to solve it you might want to stop iPhoto from automatically opening when you connect your iPhone. To do so open the 'Image Capture.app here:
Applications > Image Capture.app
With your iPhone connected, change the setting to 'No application' in the bottom of the Image Capture panel.
