hai everybody i wondering why i always failed to updating ios 5.1.my ipad 2 is ios 5.0.1. when i was updating there always an error occured istaling notification.

Can you post the exact error message? And are you trying to update directly on the iPad, or are you going through your computer and if so what OS and version of iTunes is the computer running?

Did you buy it direct from Apple as unlocked? Or did you formally ask your carrier to unlock it, and then restore it in iTunes to process that unlock request after they told it was ready?
If not, then yes, it is going to relock as you did not officially unlock it.

Failed to update iOS 6.1

I'm downloading iOS 6.1 on my iPod Touch, 5th Generation from 6.0.1. I downloaded it, and it said "must be 50% battery to install" I plugged it in, tapped install now, and a couple seconds later, it popped up saying "Verification of the iOS 6.1 update failed because you are no longer connected to the Internet" The odd thing? I am connected to the internet and I have a perfect connection. Do we have any solutions?

Same problem with my Ipod Touch 5th generation. I get error 3194 on my PC and on Wi-Fi it says that I don't have connection to Wi-Fi- Pleaase fix this fast, Apple. I recorded it and made a video:

Hi my iOS 6.1 software I'd not downloading. It is holding up all other downloads. It tells me 1 min left then tells me 3 hours left. Any ideas?

Does it say Waiting?
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I see ther update and update to ios 6.1. Something happened that make the ipad now stuck in itunes mode. I connect power to charge and see if it can go any further but it is failed and did not go any further. I tried to power off + home button but nothing seems to work. But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

I selected ''download & update''. Then it prompted to next page to agree on Terms.
When I plug Ipad to PC, again its ask to download the software. But the software takes times to download ~ 2 hrs I think. About 592MB
I've found the software save in 'Ipad Software update' Could I make use from this?

Has your phone ever been hacked or jailbroken. This error message is what usually shows up for that. Are you using a supported carrier for the iPhone, or did someone hack the phone to unlock it to be used on another carrier. If that is the case, then there is no help you can get here as discussing hacked/jailbroken devices is not allowed.

What is the error message? Are you trying to update over the air, or by connecting to iTunes on your computer?

An iPhone 3GS is too old to update to the very latest iOS and you will never be able to use apps that are compatible. The phone is just too old now in technology terms and the app makers have all moved on, so it's time to get a new phone.
Ideally, perhaps get an iPhone 4s or if you can afford it, an iPhone 5s or 5c which are the newest models.

Why did my airtunes fail after updating to iOS 5.0

I used to be able to play most anything from my iPad to either of my Airport Express units and the speakers atteched to them.
After iOS 5.0 update to my iPad 1, i am no longer able to do so.
The setup still works correctly with itunes on laptops in the house, and only fails with the iOS 5.0 updated unit.
Any helpful thoughts?

What happens if you try a hard reset of the iPod? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Configurator is 'Unable to Update iOS". Error 11 (Preflight options copy fail)

I'm attempting to restore 720 iPads to factory settings, and place a Configurator profile on them.
I'm using a Bretford Cart that holds up to 30.
Everytime I run configurator, it's unable to update iOS, and it specifically says that It "failed to copy preflight options during recovery mode restore. Error 11."
Half of them work, and are done correctly, and the other half give the error.
Some of the iPads are on iOS 5, I'm sure, considering the amount of iPads that I'm dealing with. Could this be the issue?
What am I doing wrong?

It's been a while, but I think I had to finally completely reset all of them to factory settings, and run them through the entire system again.
It could be the cart (and configurator) having a problem applying settings to multiple OS installs. I'd put my money on this being the issue.
