You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

Every now and then my IPad screen scrambles and freezes. This has been going on for several months and is happening more and more often.
Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the ipad to boot back up.
If that doesn't help - settings - general - reset - reset network settings - no data loss, however you will need to reenter known wifi passwords. -

You have to restore the device using iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad.
But ...if you are saying that the slide to unlock bar is not working and this has nothing to do with the iPad being disabled .... Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Ipad 3rd gen shows blank screen when connecting to projector via HDMI AV adapter. I have an ipad 2 that works perfectly. Projector is a Dukane ImagePro 8106HA. Only difference I see is that the ipad 3 owner has not updated to IOS 6. Any thoughts?

If you are running iOS 4, you will need to update the iPad via iTunes on your computer (can't do OTA updates unless you have iOS 5 or higher).
If you have a first generation iPad, unfortunately you won't be able to update to iOS 6 (iOS 5 is the highest you can update to on the original iPad).
If you are on an iPad 2, 3, or 4th generation with iOS 5 and it still isn't working, try holding down on both the Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of the buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the update issue. Try updating again.

It sounds like you're going to have to put the iPad in to recovery mode before you can restore it. The article linked below provides more details about the passcode lock and will walk you through putting the process of restoring from recovery mode.

Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode, which will erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK, then restore the device.

Mail giving problems. Small white rectangular box comes up on screen and inbox underneath has not updated for 2 days.
I can use Safari to get new messages but, since getting this laptop, when I go to Hotmail via Safari old messages self delete every so often, whereas via Mail messages stay in the inbox unless I actually delete them. Any suggestions?Here is a photo of what I see when I tap on the mail icon to open it. It stays there for a second or two and then goes dark. Then I actually have to put my iPad into sleep mode in order to use it again. The app will NOT close no matter what I do, just shutting it down or put it in sleep and then restart it.
here is when I tap the mail icon. It looks like an empty page but you will see the format of the mail page. Next photo is what is see after a second. Yeah there's no setting for that. So either you don't have an iPhone, or your iPhone is jail broken. If it's jail broken, just restore to factory and all will be fixed :)

I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.
