What do you mean how can you stop it? It can't start the update by itself. The download will occur automatically if there is sufficient free space on the phone. To avoid that, make sure you have enough content synced to it that there is insufficient space for iOS 7 to download.
If you already started the process, you can't stop it. You can only delay it by turning off WiFi entirely.

As I stated before you do not get iTunes 11 on your ipad. Are you getting a message on your works computer to update iTunes on the computer from version 11 to 11.1? If you select not to update iTunes, can you still sync your ipad to iTunes 11?

How can I stop iPhoto from Mounting Iphone?
Every time I dock my iPhone, iPhoto automatically mounts the phone if photos are contained on it, and offers to import the photos into its library. This is rather maddening. I've searched a bit, but no luck. Any helpful hints welcome.
Launch the Image Capture application in your Applications folder.
At the menu bar, go to Image Capture > Preferences.
Under the General tab below Camera at When a camera is connected, open:, select No application and then OK.
iPhoto will not automatically launch when ANY digital camera is connected.
If you import the photos taken by the iPhone into iPhoto and then delete the photos from the iPhone when finished, iPhoto won't launch automatically - it launches automatically when the iPhone or any digital camera is connected to your computer that contains photos.
You can then transfer these photos to the iPhone in an iPhoto Album via the iTunes sync process. If you haven't imported these photos to iPhoto, you really want to or at least transfer them to your computer without deleting them from the Camera Roll on the iPhone if you like. If something goes wrong with your iPhone and these photos have not been transferred to your computer in some fashion, you run the risk of these photos being lost. -

No you cannot. If the phone is in recovery mode, all data on it are lost. However, I'm sure you've been making frequent backups as intended, so you should have minimal data loss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Please help me and tell how can I stop using my primary Apple ID (Gmail) but leave my secondary Apple ID (icloud) as primary ond only ONE?
I started using Apple ID in 2011 when iCloud was not exist and was forced to use non-apple e-mail adress as primary ID.
So I used GMail mailbox.
When iCloud was started I created my account but unfortunatelly can't remove this Gmail address from my Apple ID and replace it with icloud mail address.
I was VERY dissapointed because I don't want to use "outside" mailbox to get letters from Apple and ny ID.
In fact I see the Apple old users and fans discrimination.
When creating new user accounts are free to create a box on the iCloud mail and use it as a primary ID, and the only ONE.
At the same time the old user is obliged to keep third-party mail box like Gmail etc. as the primary and can not get such an opportunity, as a new user
This is extremely inconvenient and a VERY strange logical.
For example, now I want to stop using this mailbox on Gmail but I can not do that because in this case I lose access to my ID, or run the risk that someone in the future will create a box with the same name on Gmail (when name will be free and available) and will automatically get access to my accounts on Apple and to my Apple ID.
Now, to avoid this, your team, I offer the only way out: ID, create anew.
Of course it's possible, but then:
- I lose all my purchases for 3 years and will be forced to make them again and pay money for the second time for my purchases
- Lose access to the familiar iCloud e-mail address who now serves as secondary ID because this e-mail address is almost no longer available and will never be released in future.
And now answer me for ONLY TWO questions:
- WHERE IS LOGIC?
- WHAT ABOUT TO BE FRIENDLY FOR YOUR USERS AND FANS?

Hopefully for your GOOD answers.You cannot make your @icloud.com address the login address for the ID. However you can change your ID, currently a Gmail one, to any other functioning non-Apple email address. The Gmail address would then no longer access your account, and so even if someone were to obtain posession of it (is that even possible) it wouldn't allow them to get into your account.
If you want to change your ID to another email address please follow the procedure outlined below, particularly noting the first step.
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support. -

An icloud account is designed to be used by one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
If you have muitiple family members or friends using the same account as yours, then have them get their own Apple IDs and icloud accounts.
If you mean you want to stop the sharing between all your devices, then on any one device, go to Settings>icloud and turn off the services you don't want that device to share/sync. Or turn off icloud altogether if that's what you want. -

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

I am using Snow Leopard and have created a movie in 16:9 format (SD not HDV) I created a movie which stays in the 16:9 format in fcp file, .mov fiule and MP4 file. I created an iDVD pane in 16:9 but when I play the movie in the iDVD preview window the iDVD pane switches to 4:3 and it burns the DVD in 4:3. How can I stop this so I get a16:9 DVD. Thanks for any help offered

As I see this I see two parts
• Howto go from FinalCut to iDVD
• Howto set iDVD right
In FinalCut Express (to 4) or Pro (to 6 - most probably 7 too)
• One has to set Anamorphic in the Browser window - menu columns
• Export as QuickTime movie .mov - NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION
In iDVD there are TWO places to set - WideScreen
- Start a NEW iDVD project - AND HERE SELECT WideScreen 16:9
- in Project - select Projectinfo
- now set WideScreen 16:9 - Here too
This use to work for me.
FOR FinalCut Pro-X - I have not a Clue - as I don't use it. SORRY
BTW - There is a good practice to before BURNING the DVD do
• Save as a DiskImage
• Test this by using DVD-Player tool
And if it is OK Size and All - then burn it by using
• Disk Util tool
• here set down burn speed to x4 or less (less burn errors = plays on more devices and better)
• Not using Memorex or NoName etc cheap media - as they usually DO NOT WORK as Video-DVDs
• I use Verbatim DVD-R as they play on more and even older DVD-players

So even when I load up websites (like ones we here at my job have created) with very simple HTML and absolutely nothing Flash related, I still get a pop-up asking me to install flash (pops down from the URL bar at left.) How can I stop this without disabling all plug-in updates?
Moreover, why in the name of all that's good is it asking me about Flash when I have no pages open with anything remotely Flash like on them?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.I do not see why this should happen because of Firefox. Maybe you have some sort of adware on your system.

Try Firefoxin safe mode to rule out your standard extensions. if that does not solve the problem then scan for malware with multiple and up-to-date tools.

I had Opera set as my default browser since this began happening. I changed my default browser back to Firefox mainly because having Firefox open one or two seconds every time I open Opera was/is such a nuisance.
I believe this problem began because I attempted to manually transfer the files from my old computer to the new one (via the backed up files in my external drive). I was unfamiliar with Windows 7 when I did this. Microsoft changed the file set up from what I had been used to in Windows XP. I used XP for six years before being exposed to Windows 7 (I never had Vista).
I'm almost sure this problem has something to do with where I placed the application data when I was trying to reestablish the program set up on the new computer. -
How can I stop Firefox from automatically upgrading? My on-line college is not compatible with the upgraded version. I have to keep uninstalling the new one and reinstalling the old one.
It's not a good idea to allow websites to redirect to another site until you know for sure the original site is trustworthy.
But if you still want to do it (again not a good idea).
Tools>Options>Advanced>General - In Accessibility, uncheck "warn me when web sites try to redirect..." option. -
I have Firefox set to automatically look for updates then ask if I want to install them. I do this when convenient (may also need to restrict downloads on another machine when paying for Internet use by amount downloaded) Until recently it did just this. Firtefox 6 seems to have downloaded & installed (& lost all passwords & cookies) I assumed this happened when someone else was using the machine & said yes.
