Don't think so. At least during my wife's upgrade, she did over the air and we had to wait until it finished, to avoid any further issues. There was no "Cancel" button and I didn't want to spend much more time trying to fix it after turning the phone off...

How to creat a "The command is currently not available" script alert?
I'm working to construct a Configurator-like panel whose buttons play actions located on Photoshop's regular Actions panel.
I'm using Eclipse and the EB3 plug-in and have made decent progress. Here is a sample of code from the Photoshop.jsx file that is executed for one of the buttons.

Very basic. Just a doAction command to find the necessary action set and action and play it.
When using Configurator and the necessary action is NOT present on Photoshop's regular Actions panel, a script alert is generated that says "The command is currently not available"
The panel I've created using EB3 doesn't provide this alert. Nothing happens when I click a button on the EB3 panel whose action is missing from Photoshop's regular actions panel. I'd like to be able to generate some type of message, like this script alert, if the action in the doAction command doesn't run as expected.
It looks like Configurator may have used this code to generate this script alert base on the fact that it contains the words : "The command is currently not available"

I don't know Java at all, but I'm pretty sure this code doesn't work with the EB3 panels. I tried copying it into the ext.js file and it had no effect. (Most of this has been trial and error for me, and I thought that would be worth a try.)
Can anyone help me with the code I need to use to generate the appropriate script alert if the doAction command doesn't run properly and where to put it in the various files required for an EB3-generated panel?

Firefox offered to create a new profile for me, but took forever to do so so eventually I had to shut off the computer. In restarting, initially Firefox would not open as "Profile could not be found". Having moved Firefox to my trash folder, when I attempt to install Firefox again, it completes the download, then does not appear in my Applications folder.
This is likely caused by a problem with the profiles.ini file and the profile marked as Default=1 in this file is not present on the hard drive.

You can use one of these to make Firefox create/use a new default profile:
*Delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
*Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
*Use "Choose Folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile

How do I stop the download of Maverick on my MacBookPro? I started downloading then discovered that 2008 Word and Excel do not work with Maverick. I have too many files in the 2008 version to upgrade them at this time. I just need instructions in non technical terms to stop the Maverick download.
I did the same as Tapmr and have paused the "upgrade". So am I to understand that the upgrade only downloads and will not automatically install it? I am an extreme novice here, and cannot afford any issues after I upgrade/download. I don't know how to make a clone copy as you suggested either.
I need assurance that if the upgrade is allowed to continue that I will be able to delete the upgrade downloaded and continue on as before with my regular system. -

When you purchase QT 7 Pro, you are just purchasing a registration key that "unlocks" the QT 7 "Pro" editing features already built into the QT 7 Player but not activated without the key. Since you are listed as using the Lion OS, you need to check your "Applications > Utilities" folder to see if QT 7 is already installed there.
If it is, then you will need to open the app, open the "Registration..." window under the "QuickTime Player 7" Menu and enter the "Registered To:" and "Registration code:" entries to activate the "Pro" features. Be sure to follow the instructions found on the web page I will post below.
If it is not already installed in the "Applications > Utilities" folder, then you will have to first download and install the special QT 7 Player v7.6.6 software found on the download page which is linked to the web page containing both installation and registration instructions which is included below.

How can I burning the downloaded language pack ?
I have downloaded the language pack CD of the solaries 8 OS because I need it as I am in Hong Kong but when I have finished the download I do not know how to burn the CD into the CD-R, so can you help me and sent me the solution for burning the language pack CD.

First you must unzip the language pack that you downloaded using winzip or something similar. Now you have an image file that is suitable for burning to CD. Now you can, create a CD from these images using your favorite CD creation software. Depending on the software package you use, you may have to rename the file first
to give it an extension the software recognizes as a CD image. For example, if you use Easy CD Creator, add the extension .iso to the file name. Next, from the File Menu in the program, select Create CD from CD image. Then, select that image file. If you use Nero burning rom, also use a .iso extension.

How do I get the download window in iTunes 11?
Hi there,
Back in the iTunes 10 days (ie last week) there was an option for a download windowin the sidebar that popped up when you were downloading things - eg podcasts from the iTunes Store. If you clicked on it you got a new window showing what you were currently downloading or what was in the queue to be downloaded. This doesn't seem to appear in iTunes 11 - is there a setting that I can change to get this back?
When you are downloading over 10 podcasts each day it is helpful to leave it on that list so you have an idea of what is coming through the feeds, and possibly delete a few episodes from an ongoing subscription if they didn't sound interesting. Now it seems that you have to hover by your PC to see what comes up at the top of the screen, which is a bit stupid.
Any clues on how I can get the download page back, or whether there is some alternative way you can look at a list of recently downloaded podcasts by date (other than by looking at the "unplayed" list - I've got over 600 unplayed episodes).
I suspect that this may be a really stupid question with a really simple answer. Please, let me have it - I'm stumped!
Any suggestions welcomed.

In the upper right corner of itunes (only when an item is downloading) you will see a downward facing arrow inside a gray circle with a blue status bar type line below it. If you click that it will show you your downloads progress.

When I try to download a software up date for another program in Binary File (eg. C Cleaner or a Microsoft file) in Firefox they all just come up in the download window as 'Canceled'? When I go to the destination folder the download file icon is there with 0 Kb's for size...Then when I click 'RETRY' the download it appears to download fully, but when I go into the destination folder the downloaded file is not there? I need to know if there is something in the Firefox options to resolve this problem or much more!!
If all .exe files are blocked, antivirus software is most likely configured to block them. See if you can download these with your antivirus and/or security software disabled.
