I don't think bulk update for password is supported in R1(same in R2). Find below statement in oracle doc
Support Bulk Update: Determines if the field can be modified as part of a bulk modification of multiple users. Fields that are expected to be unique to users, such as username, name fields, and password, do not support bulk update. For fields with System Controled=Yes or Unique=Yes, this property can never be set to Yes. You need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer to sync the iPhone 5; this may require buying a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store. OS upgrades aren't covered by the warranty.

• HT4623 HOW TO UPDATE OLD IPAD TO NEW VERSION OF IPAD 6?

Is it possible to update ipad to new version of IOS 6?

If it is an original (1st generation) iPad, no. It only support 5.1.1 or earlier.

• HT4623 I am not able to update my iPad. I am not given the prompt in the general settings mode?

I am unable to update my operating system on my iPad. When I go to the general prompt of setting there is no update selection?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

• Anyone else not able to update your iPod's software version

my ipod touch software is 4.2.1, the 3rd gen and i want update to the new version, 4.3. but it says my ipod is the current version. anyone else have this problem?

Most sofware can only go so far with Backwards compatability. OSX Mountain Lion will not run on Power PC macs for example although they work perfectly fine on what they are using.
Windows Vista is not backwards compatible with the machine you run XP on due to Hardware limitations
The Same is true of iPods and iPads. I cannot use the new features of IOS 6 on my iPad 1st genersation.
The limitation is hardware if these updates were given to older devices they would either not run or be very slow.
This I am afraid is normal no matter who the Software manufacturer is.
What you have to ask yourself is Does my current Hardware and software do what I need or do I need the fancy new stuff that was not around when I made my original purchase. If so then yes you will need to buy a newer version.
If not stay as you always have been and enjoy your device as you thought you would when you bought it.

• I am not able to update my iPad to iOS 5.1.0

I have an problem updating my software from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1.0

This has solved loads of people who have this issue and have used an alternate DNS setting.  Below are instructions for both iPhone OTA and on you Mac
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
Change DNS Servers
Settings -> Wi-Fi
Click the blue arrow on your connected network
Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Try again
If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
On your Mac
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.
Click DNS, and then click Add at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 address for the DNS server.
You can use OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
or
You can Google Public DNS if you want
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
I have actually repointed my routers DNS so all my devices now point to OpenDNS servers

• Not able to update my ipod touch os version 1.1

Hi All,
I have my ipod touch first generation and having OS 1.1
Whenever i try to update the os through itunes it is showing error that, cannot connect to internet.
Also, i tried doing via Wifi, ipod showing error that cannot connect to internet though it is alreay connected.
Please let me know solution for this.
Thanks;
KalpeshM

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

sir i cant update my macbook to mac os x 10.5.8 . it hangs wile updating and i am looking for a better update . knidly reply thanks

Some general advice on updating Leopard:
It is worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, as they have all been extensively beta-tested, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first to an external hard disk. Ideally you should always have a bootable clone of your system that enables you to revert to the previous pre-update state.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site.
The Combo updater of Leopard 10.5.8 can be found here:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Full details about the 10.5.8 update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3606
More information on using Software Updater here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901?viewlocale=en_US
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.5.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
Now proceed as follows:
4. Close all applications and turn off energy saving and screensaver.
5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious! In fact a second restart can be recommended.
9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them compliant with the latest version of your operating system. Give them a week or two while you regularly check their websites for updates.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.
Lastly, Apple's own article on the subject of Software Update may also be useful reading:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106695
If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up.  If you have installed an OS update and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party add-on.
Additional tips on software installation here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106692
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for  problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
/Library/InputManagers
~/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates (they can always be added back one-by-one later).

• I am contemplating purchasing an iPad, and then possibly a Macbook pro.  Currently, I have an iMac G5, and a Powerbook G4.  Neither which can be upgraded past Leopard.  My question is do I need to have Snow Leopard in order to be able to update an iPad?

I am contemplating purchasing an iPad, and then possibly a Macbook pro.  Currently, I have an iMac G5, and a Powerbook G4.  Neither which can be upgraded past Leopard.  My question is do I need to have Snow Leopard in order to be able to update an iPad? Do I need to reverse my thought on which to buy first?
I plan on keeping the iMac and PB until they cease to work ( have replaced HD's on both already).  I mostly use the PB-- lots of writing, surfing, email, etc.
Your thoughts?

The minimum Mac specs (from http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/) are :
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
iTunes 10.2 or later recommended (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
iTunes Store account
Internet access
So you only need Leopard, not Snow Leopard

• Not able to update PO in SRM 7.0

Hello,
I am not able to update PO using BBP_PD_PO_UPDATE.
The way I am using all FM's in my program is as below
1. BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL
2. BBP_PD_PO_UPDATE - Importing parameter lv_changed returning value X but not saving the data
3 BBP_PD_PO_SAVE - Paasing GUID as GUID returned in UPDATE FM
4. COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.
any pointers to solve my problem
Thanks,
Arun.

Always check the ET_MESSAGES when calling the update. If there are "A" type of messages, it's not going to update. If there are "E" type of messages, depending on your "SAVE" or "HOLD" flag, it might not update either.

• Not able to update the project using 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN'.

I  want to create a project , with reference to an already existing project.
I am using 'BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO' to get the data of the existing project.
      The bapi gives the following:
1)     e_project_definition.
2)     e_wbs_element_table.
3)     e_wbs_hierarchie_table
I am passing the u2018e_project_definitionu2019 to 'BAPI_PROJECTDEF_CREATE' to create project. The project is created successfully.
But I am not able to update the project with u2018e_wbs_element_tableu2019
and u2018e_wbs_hierarchie_tableu2019. I am using 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' to update the project.
The program is not giving an error, but it is also not updating the E_WBS_ELEMENT_TABLE and E_WBS_HIERARCHIE_TABLE.

I have an ipad2 that has ios4.3.5 that I'm trying to update to iOS 6. I'm not able to update because of unidentifiable apps.  I'm assuming that these are apps I tried to get but couldn't open because I needed iOS 5 or higher. These apps are still in my app store always needing updates, but I can't open or update because I don't have iOS 5.  I can't delete them either because they can't be opened or aren't on my screen to hold/let wiggle/X.  I need to remove these apps, but can't figure out how. Please someone tell me how

Tip 2 - If you are updating using wifi, locate your iPad close to your router so you don't get a wifi dropout (can cause update corruption).
