Delete iTunes on your laptop and reinstall the latest version. Then reboot the laptop and reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.

If you mean iOS, select the iOS device in iTunes then click Update. -

Something went wrong in the iOS if you are getting the connect to iTunes screen. you will have to exactly that - connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes using the cable. You will need to restore the iPad now.
Read this all the way to the end before you begin. Make sure that you read about recovery mode at the end of the article.

So are you saying there is a better way or another way to do that? Or are you just telling me that's how it works? Because I know that the includeIn isn't creating the other buttons untill they are needed. I need them created when the button is created. That is my question, how do I get the other states to be created when the button is created so that I don't see the button flash black?

I updated iOS 7 and my contacts were ok then they suddenly disappeared a few weeks after updating. I have no idea if it has anything to do with iOS 7 but when I email someone the contacts are there. When I open the app they are gone. What happened?
Try:

You must have the credentials that were used to turn on Find my iPhone on the device. Without them, you can not get past the activation lock.

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.
