i shifted from a windows to a mac.. I want to add songs to my ipod tpuch 4th gen.. but if i try to sync with itunes it says my songs will be replaced by the new songs.. Is there any way that i can have my previous data safe??
Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. And then it does nothing, but freezes up. I swipe away the page to try again with the same results over and over.

A system reboot by powering the phone off does not work. There is plenty of free space on his phone.
On the other hand, My Iphone 4S updated no problem doing exactly what it is suppose to do with updates.
So any help would be appreciated.Try resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, hook the device up to iTunes, make sure that your husband's Apple/iTunes/iCloud ID is signed on to iTunes, then try the update again.

My iPod touch 5th Gen iOS 8.1 won't turn on, charge and CONNECT TO iTUNES.
Maybe this is because of the new release ios 8.1 where after the update it went
recovery mode then i didn't restore, i set up a new ipod.

I am having the same problem. I have a 2nd generation ipad wi-fi only. All was working great until I upgraded. NONE of my downloaded magazines or rss-feeds are accessible. For the magazines, their icons show up on the "shelves" but once you click on one it wont even take you to the "issues" i have downloaded. it jumps back to the shelf page.

I tried to put ios 7 on my ipad 2 but then it took me to recovery mode then I got the new itune and tried to restore it but then it stops in the middle
Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -

First: Put the device into DFU mode.
DFU MODE STEPS
Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"
Second: Plug it into your computer and open iTunes. It will either prompt to restore and up date or you can manually restore using the following steps
