HT1222 Is there a way change settings, i.e. color of folders, in iOS 7 to make it less childlike looking?

In what world is this update beautiful? ugly. some good additions are great, but the interface is far from beautiful, hard to read, annoying and with a very childlike look. Can you give us options to put it back to look like it did prior to 7 update? PLEASE? If Windows (ugh) can do it, why can't Apple? The majority of iPhone users I've talked too have the same opinion, that this update while has good additions, looks like a 5 year olds phone now.

You rarely will get any response from posting feedback. Its just that is the venue if you want your suggestions or ideas to actually reach the various development teams at Apple (they do not sit around pouring through posts here obviously).

Several ways to get similar results. Image > Adjustments > Posturize with low values similar to what you'd use n Cutout. This is the most flexible way I can think of as you keep the image in RGB mode with layers intact. A more radical approach would be to reduce bit depth using Indexed Colour. You'll need to experiment with settings, try changing Forced to Primaries, and Matte to Foreground Color. There's no going back from this route, although you can change the mode back to RGB to re-enable layers, adjustment layers etc.
A nice thing about the Filter gallery filters is that you can change the layer to a Smart object with all the control that gives you.
Now if only this forum could filter out bizarre content.

Uitableview grouped style-is there any way to get section background color

So far i have tried myself and searched everywhere but didnt figured out that is there any way to get section background colors different for each sections in grouped style tableview.
If anyone has tried something to get such thing would really be helpful to me.

The password is on the encrypted disk image.
Any folders that you wish to have password protected you place in the encrypted disk image.

server with one user.....say for example ....i have started one of my Managed
server as "root" ...but after that i wanted to make this instance work under as
"inet"
how do i do this OR is it possible ????

Not that I'm aware of. The iPad is designed to be a single user device, so you can passcode the whole thing, or nothing at all.
There are a few apps that you can lock out with restrictions, but I don't think Pages is amongst them. You can look in settings and restrictions and see what you can lock down.

I've been looking for the same thing. It would seem to be a good feature for Apple to add.
I have found one workaround that may be helpful to you, although it's a bit of a pain. The images appear in the order that you add them to the stream. And you can select the images from the stream itself to add them again. So what I did is
1. Add all the pictures I need to the stream.
2. Determine the order I want them in.
3. From the stream, add the pictures again one by one (using "select" within the stream, then the little "send to" icon).
4. Delete the originals from the stream.
And this did the trick.

I prepare graphics mostly for print, so I like to turn on the Proof Colors view and Overprint Preview views. It's a pain to turn these on for each document. Is there a way to make these the default viewing settings in Illustrator CS6?
I tried creating an action to do it, but the Insert Menu Item command in actions causes Illustrator to crash every time, and the help file seems to say that View commands are unavailable to actions. So I'm not sure if that's a bug. Oddly, Photoshop has the very useful File> Scripts> Script Event Manager that let's me turn on Proof Colors (via an action) whenever a document is opened. It works very well. However, Illustrator does not appear to have these options. I found the View> New View options in Illustrator. They let me create a view that turns on Overprint Preview, but absolutely refuse to turn on Proof Colors. So it's the same number of clicks and pointless. Sheesh!

Not sure about Proof Colours but you can select Overprint Preview in the New Document dialogue.
Preview Mode > Overprint.

Is there a way of selecting all files within multiple folders?

Let's say I have a folder called 'text books' and within that folder I have 100 more folders named by author. Inside the folders are .txt files of their work. Is there any way I can select all the .txt docs and paste them in one big folder? In other words, is there a way of removing all the sub-folders and putting all the .txt files together in one place?

Thanks Niel. Worked a treat! Took me a short while to figure out how to get it to run in the directory I wanted it to (as the file was also on NAS) as I have never used AppleSript before.
So, for posterity, and if anyone else is interested in trying to do this, here is my final script:

set tpa to "/Volumes/Public/ directory you are moving them to"

I was wondering if there is a "select all" function in the mail folders on the iPad 2 pr iPhone 4s?
I added an email account to my iPad and it is now in the process of downloading 3,500 old messages that were on the server 50 at a time and I have to go through and select each one with the edit option to delete them in batches.
