HT1222 ok i cant get itunes to open it installs and when i click on the icon it takes me to the agreement dicloser i click agree and thats it it closes this happens everytime. ive installled and uninstalled it a number of times and still nothing??

START > CONTROL PANEL > PROGRAMS N FEATURES > highlight QUICKTIME and click CHANGE then REPAIR.

ok heres what u gotta do
yes i know its alot of steps but if you do them right it will work.
1.remove all active versions of itunes
2.then restart as it asks you to do, if it doesnt ask do it your self
3.unplug ipod
4.remove ipod software
5. restart
6.install the cd the ipod came w/
7.when it asks you if you want to upgrade itunes say yes
8.download the file
9.intall the newest version
10.restart
if you have done exactly these steps(exactly in this order)then itunes should be working now -

You'll need to use the download stores provided for Android devices, and if you have music downloaded from the ITunes Store on a computer, whatever synchronization method Samsung provides for getting the music to your Galaxy.

i downloaded itunes and when i tried to open i got an error message that says itunes is not a valid Win32 application. does this mean i should return my ipod? what can i do to make this work? any help is greatly appreciated!

top fixes for a new iTunes install/upgrade are
- turning off security software such as Norton before the install as Apple suggests
- installing QuickTime standalone, not regular

Everytine I try to open Itune a message comes up (The Itunes library.itl is locked.on a locked disk.or you do not have write premission for this file
Windows 7 64bit. I couldn't get the adobe program manager to work either. I re-downloaded the program manager and so now I can re-download PS6. Weird!

What computer hardware? Which version of software are you running? I'm sure there's a background story to all this so please tell it. Usually this is the result of having updated something somewhere. You may need to reinstall iTunes. Download it fom Apple; do not use Software Update.

I updated Itunes a while ago from 9. something to 10.3
When i did this my computer usage went to 100% and basically froze. The only way to get computer working was to end tasks and processes in task manager.
I uninstalled itunes and then reinstalled it. since doing this i cannot even get itunes to open???

You may have to find the download folder for the browser you are using and launch the installer from there. Another option you may want to try is using another browser to download and install iTunes. I can't get itunes to open from my desktop. When I click on the icon nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. Why isn't itunes working??
On my PC I had a problem where the iTunes store would only display a blank white page, I managed to display my account settings, but nothing for music, etc
I treid this and it has immediately sorted it out...
start>programs>accessories> right click on Command Prompt and run as Administrator
then simply enter 'netsh winsock reset' and return
after restarting the PC and loading up iTunes the store was there fine ;-)
I posted this on some other threads and it has been successful for the other people that have tried it -
why when i want to download a free app from app store it asks for my apple id and when i give my apple id it then says "this apple id has not yet been used in the itunes store". i dont even know what that means and it will this happen everytime?

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine. -

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -
