HT1267 Need to speak to someone about my Iphone not powering up

I have been having problem with switching my Iphone on, it appears not  to power on.  I had went to the Apple store today and was advised that they will clean the handset which appeared to be not clean when instering the charger to the phone.  The phone powered up which I was happy as I have not backed up any of my contact numbers, and now phoneless.
I was then told that my warranty had exspired which I was not aware and had not recieved any information about when my warranty was coming to an end.  I have discussed this with T Mobile as I had recieved my upgrade from them and they had appointed me to to go the Apple store as this may be a fault. 
when I arrived home the phone had done the same thing and it would not power up again. is there anyway I can be advised on this please. Apple have told me to speak to T Mobile but they had said hopefully there should not be any fault to the phone.

Well, call Apple.   This is a user to user support forum.
If you're in the US, you did NOT receive this device as an upgrade from TMobile as they do not carry iPhones.
If you are in another country, you do not have a CDMA iPhone... heck for that matter you do not have a CDMA iPhone under any circumstances if you are using TMobile.
Warranty is 1yr from purchase of a new device, 90 days for a refurbished device.
