HT1267 Q I keep getting a repeat screen that says "unable to download" [name of a song] and gives me the choice to "try again" or "done". I don't want the song and can't get rid of the screen. Ideas?
I keep getting a screen that says "Unable to Download" [song] with two choices - "done" or "try again". I have tried both and can't get rid of the screen ( and don't want the song which I never ordered to begin with. Ideas on getting rid of the screen??

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You probably have other things on the iPad that are taking up a lot of space.
What you'll want to do is connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the sidebar in iTunes. It will show you a bar along the bottom that tells you what is taking up space.
TV shows can fill up the space pretty quickly, but you should be good with even a 16GB iPad 2 if you can see what might be taking up the space.
Post here what the bar says and we might be able to figure it out if it isn't something you figure out with that information.
As an example, let's say that it says Photos is taking up 15GB, then you would go to the Photos tab and disable syncing of them altogether, or limit what it syncs. The same would be the case for any of the other stuff that takes up space. -

I am trying to sync my music library on my ipod touch, 3rd gen. When I try to download songs from the cloud, it gives me an error message that the song could not be downloaded at this time. Retry.
This is completely not helpful and gives me no options for how to download, and I can't really find any suggestions for connecting the ipod to the cloud. It worked prior to the new update 0.7. I'm very frustrated!! Some songs have synced, but many have not. Especially the latest purchases.I just figured out a solution. I connected my ipod to my computer, went to the 'info' tab on the menu for my ipod. I checked 'Sync Mail Accounts', which were greyed out until I selected them. That connected me to the Cloud and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps someone else!

IPhone keeps saying Unable to Download this item when i'm not trying to download anything.
My iPhone 4S keeps coming up with a message saying "Unable to Download Item" and I don't know what app / music it is talking about so I press done but it keeps coming up like every 10 or so minutes.

Every ten minutes a popup on my 4s appears saying "unable to download" with the option of "done" or "retry". I can't get rid of it and I can't find out what it's trying to do! theres noting pending on the App Store or iTunes. Nothing failed. I've reset my settings. Logged out and back into itunes. It's really annoying as rinsing my data!
After talking to Apple for 3 hours I figured it out myself.
Tre here was a singular failed song on iTunes on the computer that was trying to download and messing everything up. Maybe if you use iTunes on the computer and have a little mooch you'll find the same thing. I think it was hidden in the purchased part of it -
I am in my e-mail and a keyboard came up but only the left hand-side of the keyboard and I can't get rid of it, any idea how to make it go away?
Have you turned the phone off? If so, and it hasn't fixed the issue, try a reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds. Ignore the slide to turn off indicator, and wait for the Apple logo to reappear. Release buttons. No content will he changed with this process.

JohnDouble clicking on it should unzip the file, often resulting in a file in a folder or a file alone. If the file was purchased as FLAC then the file should end in .flac (if you have display extensions turned on). FLAC is a common format but it is poorly implemented on Macs, and Apple is obstinate about supporting it, preferring their own Apple Lossless format. iTunes won't play it and I don't think Quicktime will either. Many other applications will but it is inconvenient for everyday use. The easiest thing to do is to use a converter such as Max or XLD (both free) to convert the file to Apple Lossless (if you desire full-quality comparable to the FLAC format), or to AAC (typical of a file purchased from the iTunes Store). Both can be readily played in iTunes.

I've unchecked the boxes for apple e-mails (news and iTunes offers) after following the link at the bottom of a marketing e-mail from Apple.
Unfortunately I still get marketing info which I don't want. What else can I do to stop the spam?The e-mail checks out as having come from an IP address registered to Apple.

The sender address wasn't spoofed and all the links in the mail lead to legitimate apple web sites. (It was an advert for a MacBook Air christmas special). There was a link at the bottom of the e-mail which takes me to the Apple 'manage your e-mails' page.

On this page there are check boxes for the various Apple news and iTunes marketing e-mails, and the option to change my e-mail address. The boxes are not checked but I still get marketing e-mails. -
I Just updated my iPhone 4 to 7.1 oS. I am unable to connet to any network. I keep getting the "searching" No Service" messages on the top let corner of the screen. I also get a notice that says " "Unable to load network list. I need help... How can one resolve this issue?
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
I just down loaded itones to my computer, then bought a bunch of music. How do I add the songs to my mp3 player. When I go to "file" and then devices the button that says sync isn't availlible to push, so I cant put the music on my mp3??? Help
itunes will only sync with an ios device.
On the other hand, if you have a usb cord for your mp3 player, and you know what FOLDER your itunes music is located in (and for me its located at C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media )
you can just select that folder and copy it to your mp3 player.
typically when you first plug in something like an mp3 player you get a windows alert asking if you want to view the contents of the device- say yes. copy your itunes folder to the music folder on your mp3 player.
