HT1277 Can Alias accounts be converted to their own email addresses?

I would like to split off two of my Alias Identities, that are on the same Apple Account, into separate mail accounts.
Can this be done? Would I have to attach them to new Apple Accounts or can I just have multiple mailboxes on one account?

You said it better than I. That was my point, too many mail "endings" and you may be right, they can't fix it.
No one likes to change their email address, but c'mon Apple...just pick one! I couldn't combine my Apple ID's when I whent to mobile .me, that's partly how I ended up with 3 addresses. If .iCloud is the newest and latest, then let's change all of them to iCloud. If they want to use all .me, then let's change them all to .me. But, pick ONE and stay with it.
Thank you for your confirmation. Sometimes I think it's just me that feels this way. Unfortunately, I'm moving away from Apple products because of too many restrictions and too much confusion.

Yes I could set up a new email address but WHY THE **** should I? I've been using this email account for years for personal stuff, it's not mu fault if someone can sign it up as an AppleID without me being able to confirm their sign up process!

Does everyone need their own email address?

We have four devices in our house. itunes is set up under my email. When I updated my daughter's ipod touch, I entered my email for imessages. However, now I can't use my email on my ipad. To make matters worse, I do not how to get my email off her touch. Everytime I think I've deleted it, it shows up again.

I believe the short answer tot that is "yes" however I recommend you contact AppleCare to find out You have 90 days of free AppleCare telephone support when you buy any new Mac. This is the ideal time to begin using it. I'd also recommend that you purchase AppleCare, it will extend your 1 year warranty to 3 years and offer you 3 years of telephone support in addition to other services. Multipe discussion boards within one site collection, each with their own email?

So we use several list servs and these have become an issue and the data is lost discussion based on you cannot collectively house and search for information and attachments.
I have a few questions that maybe you could help in my research:
1) Is SharePoint discussions capable of having multiple discussion boards in one site collection, each with their own email address to replace the function of a list serv (so at a minimum content can be organized, with attachments available, and replies
can be seen/sent via email.)
2) From an attachment perspective; what is the best way to ensure virus blocking in the above scenario IF the above scenario is able to be done
3) Is there OOTB functionality here or is there a recommended third party product? (I am not looking to build out a custom solution if at all possible to avoid that)
any thoughts or input here would be greatly appreciated!

1) - Yes, discussion boards are just specially formatted lists and yes, each discussion board can have their own email address.
2) - Blocked file types can be configured in CA and I believe that SP will strip out any emails with blocked file types attached (not 100% on that, probably 95% sure)
3) All out of the box (assuming SP will block the attachments as I assumed in #2

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:

Yes - gifts are sent to an email address not to the iTunes account, the email has a redemption code in it which the recipient then redeems. The recipient needs to be in the same country as yourself, he/she won't be able to redeem it if their account is in a different country's store.

Welcome to the Apple community.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. Thus first try to recovery use of the original account.
Also, yo have obtain use of the original account to deactivae the Activation Lock

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

You should have no need to use the Old Sync account.
As long as device or devices are Firefox 29 or later (They should all be Firefox 30 now) you should use the New Sync.
You may use the same email address with both accounts.

I am trying to change the email address associated with my existing account to free up my university email address for use in obtaining Creative Cloud.

I am trying to change the email address associated with my existing account to free up my university email address for use in obtaining Creative Cloud. Every time I go to the account settings of my existing account (which currently uses my university email, as I set it up years ago and had no idea it'd eventually cause problems), I enter a different email to use for that account but I continuously receive an error message saying "account changes cannot be saved." It makes me think that it's because the email isn't verified (funny, it actually is verified since it has been the alternate email on the old account for years), but when I click the "send verification email" nothing happens (that is, no email is sent to that other email address).
Anyway, my university is now requiring that faculty create new accounts using our university email addresses in order to register/use Creative Cloud. Am I able to delete my old account, or can anyone help me actually change the email address associated with my old account without getting a "changes can't be saved" error?

First, you need to understand that there's a difference between "syncing" and "backup". Backup is the saving of content and settings, where syncing is the bidirectional transfer of content for an account to a web-based server (like iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
If you see your calendar in your iCloud account, that implies that you have set up your iCloud account to host (sync) your calendar, and perhaps contacts, email, and notes. An iCloud account can only sync one user's information at a time so it is intended to support a single user. You can have more than one iCloud account, and you can even have more than one iCloud account on the same device (but one has to be primary, and the secondary iCloud has limited capabilities), but a single iCloud account only supports a single user's content.
Backup is the saving of your device's content and settings to use in case you need to recover these things, but you can't see the contents of your backup (just the size and device name). You can backup more than one device to iCloud and you can backup to iCloud or you can backup to your computer, or both (one at a time though, you have to choose).
So, if your wife has her own email and calendar she can certainly do that in parallel to whatever account(s) you have for email and calendar. But if you have only one iCloud account then only one of you can use it for email, calendar, etc. But the backup of these accounts is really just a backup of the device's settings that link the device to these accounts. For example, if she uses Gmail then the backup of the iPad only backs up the fact that your iPad is set up to use her account, it does not backup the account itself (the content of her account is saved and preserved on Google's servers, not your device's backup).
Does that make better sense?
