MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” rejected the password
This is doing EXACTLY what I would expect it to.
You need Lion for iCloud which it should warn you when you do the me.com/move routine.
It's still fixable though:

I want to use Mac Mail for my work email address, which containts multiple outbound options (i.e. hr@, me@ etc). Is there a way to set up Mac Mail to have an account with multiple outbound addresses rather than adding in multiple accounts?
This sounds like the age old problem with keychain & Safari. I don't know of a way to solve it without using something like 1Password.
The iOS app has it's own built in browser, so it has more control over what gets autofilled. Safari on OS X has an 1Password extension that handles account selection & autofill etc.
Keychain is great in principle, but it quickly falls down when you need tight integration with many ID's & different use cases (work, home etc).
I'd suggest you submit feedback to Apple about your thoughts. I did so years ago about this issue & this is how far we have come (back to the point where me.com synced passwords) :^)
http://apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
Other tools like lastpass or keypassx may also help if you want to truly segregate password storage, but that doesn't fix autofill, the way around that issue is to dedicate one browser for work. -
Using Yosemite - cannot project PC screen onto TV. Can get a black screen or bits and pieces of a screen ( not always the one displayed on PC). Have been using same setup for years.
Thanks for any helpHi, edward.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are having a display issue with your MacBook Pro on your TV. I would need a little more information regarding how you are connecting your device and what content is being displayed to provide a better answer. However, here is the best troubleshooting resource to go through when experiencing these symptoms.

Trouble connecting using Mac mail for Office 365
Microsoft says OS 10.9.4 is not supported for an exchange mail account for Mac Mail. I'm using OSX 10.9.4 and Mac Mail 7.3 and previously had an exchange account but upgraded to Office 365 through my workplace. I was able to send and receive but now the connection doctor is saying the Exchange account "Could not connect to this Exchange server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the 'Use SSL' checkbox in the Advanced tab.
The problem I've having as well is that the emails are not saved in my sent folder. The only settings that haven't been updated are under the 'Advanced' settings which are: Internal Server Path, Internal Port, External Server Path, External Port.MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” rejected the password

I have been using it for years with success. Recently I had a proplem with opening the program. I brought it to Best Buy. They fixed it and I can make the movies but I can not burn a DVD. I get a message, " cannot initialize the DVD burner engine". Can you help me.
>cannot initialize the DVD burner engine
That MAY be related to the information in the links below
These notes are (mostly) for Encore, but since the disc burning module inside Premiere Elements is also licensed from Roxio, the steps and ideas are the same for PE
As well as the below, right click the program icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

Create a DVD output ISO file (Encore) or set your DVD output to a folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program) -

Thanks mike. You can use the Tab key to select a search engine on the bottom bar and press Enter to use the search engine to do the search.
In the current Firefox 34 release there is a new "one-off" search bar.
This search bar doesn't show the name of the search engine and a logo.
You can type one letter to make a drop-down list appear where you can see suggestions and see the used search engine and that also has bar at the bottom where you can select other search engines that are enabled via the Search tab in Options/Preferences.
You can use the Tab key to select one of the other available search engines and press the Enter key to search with the selected search engine.
Click the search engine icon and click "Change Search Settings" to open the Search tab in Options/Preferences (positioned between Tabs and Content) to select the default search engine and select which search engines to show in the search bar drop-down list that opens when you start typing search terms. -
Using Mac Mail for BT MyBT mail
Since BT , in february 2014, changed from BT- Yahoo to BT Mail ( My BT) I have had problems using macmail.
What the best solution / imap settings ?I have been running Mavericks since it was introduced and have had no problems with BT email. I recall that when BT changed its email system a few months ago, some configuration changes were necessary and these were specified by BT. Once the changes were made, everything worked perfectly. I will see if I can find the original instructions from BT and post them here. Altenatively, take a look at the BT community forum and see if you can find an answer there:
https://community.bt.com/t5/Email/bd-p/Email
BT come in for a lot of flack but, given the very large number of subscribers, I suspect that most are quite content with what they get. Bear in mind that, apart from cable providers, all ISPs in the UK use a BT line and I doubt that BT facllitate a better service to their competitors than they can provide themselves.
If you really cannot get on with BT email, then it is easy to set up an Outlook email account. These are free and have the advantage that, if you change your ISP, you do not have to change your email address. Actually, I recall that you can keep your BT email address if you move away from BT. However, you have to log in something like once a month to keep it active. This sounds easy except that you have to do this by dial-up, and iMacs, at least, do not have dial-up modems. Hmm, maybe I'll think again about how good BT is! -

I've been using the mail app that came with my Mac for over a year. Out of the blue, it will not open and keeps giving me an error like "Mail cannot open because of an error and something about it not being compatible. Please help! I miss my mail
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. -
For whatever reason, I can't use (mac) mail 3.6 on my mac G5 with Charter ISP. I would like to try Thunderbird (TB) - I'm now using Firefox 3.6.28. But I can't navigate through Mozilla to find older versions of TB. Can you suggest a URL for down loading older versions of TB, or, other alternative email programs?
I have recently moved from Thunderbird to SeaMonkey - much better and up to date with the latest Mozilla code.
See my SeaMonkey page at: http://links.zero.eu.org/seamonkey/
For PPC - download the latest SeaMonkey-ppc from:
https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc/downloads/list
For Intel - download normal SeaMonkey from:
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/
Old versions of Thunderbird can be found here:

The latest Thunderbird for PPC is 3.1.20. -
I have been using yahoo mails from iPad for several months. Today I am unable to access my mails even though I logged in to yahoo....the signin screen is keep coming when I tried to access mail.....is it due to iPad or yahoo?
It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.
I found some links on the Yahoo! website that might help:

Email password being rejected using Mac mail
I have a strange issue using mac mail on a mac mini running snow leopard. It is actually my Mom's computer. She calls me over from time to time when her email gives her problems. Usually it amounts to resetting the modem or some other simple fix. Today however not so easy!
This issue came up out of the blue earlier this week. A message came from mail asking her to re-enter her password since the server (charter.net) was rejecting it. She attempted to re-enter it along with a variety of other addresses she had written down and eventually gave up. In this process she also restarted her modem. Today is Friday so it's been a few days with no connection to her email server. This is all her recounting so I am not certain exactly what transpired.
I confirmed a conection with the internet first. re-entered the correct password and got the same message. Then I tried the Username & password via a web interface and got in first try. So I started up an old email client (Entourage) that had been set up from years ago (as a POP account) and it to accessed the server with no problem. At that point I deleted the account in mac mail & recreated it...same message. I then reset the keycahin and deleted/recreated the account again...same message. To rule out POP vs IMAP I tried creating a POP account in mac mail since the original was IMAP....same message. I am at a loss.
For now I reintroduced her to Entourage so she could access her mail. It was abbandoned a couple of years ago since it had been the source of too much confusion for her (she tends to click on things changing views etc without realizing how or what she has done).
Until this, the simplicity of mac mail was working pretty well for her.
Any ideas of what the cause might be or what else I could try would be appreciated.I installed iCloud on the iPad
K, that wasn't clear in your original posting. You left that part out.
Are you saying this would be fixed if I upgraded to Mountain Lion?
That is not what I said. What I should have said is that the OS requirements for iCloud are Lion & Mountain Lion.
The following are keychain troubleshooting that you may wish to try: Use Spotlight to search for a file called login.keychain.
Users/YourUserName/Library(which is a hidden folder and won't show in Finder)/Keychains.
Click Go in the menu bar then Go to Folder and type in /Users/YourUserName/Library and hit the enter key. Look down the list of folder and find Keychains. The "login.keychain" file should be inside.
Cures for a funky keychain
