HT1277 Removing Horizontal Scrollbar from Mail

Can anyone help me remove or switch off the horizontal scrollbar from Mail?
The window is forcing received emails into one long line of text and I'm having to scroll horizontally to read the email, its seriously driving me crazy!
I figured that if I remove the scrollbar it will force the received the email to run around? Then I'll only need to scroll vertically.
Please help.

I'm seeing a similar problem in Compose. Word wrap logic seems to have disappeared. When I type past the width of the edit screen, the line does not wrap. Rather, the screen scrolls to the right. I don't find a word wrap option anywhere. And I've just upgraded to 6.01.
Anyone else?

Why can I not remove extra spaces from Mail when composing?

I am using Mail Version 8.1 and I cannot find a way to remove extra spaces from between my lines while composing. Every Enter makes the cursor go down two lines and there is no way to type in the space in between. There seems to be now way to see the html or any tags that can be causing this, and I cannot seem to find any setting to change the line spacing either. Does anyone know where to find any of these options so I can simply make the text single space?

Open a message-editing window. Under the Edit menu, deselect all the options in the Spelling and Substitutions sub-menus. Test.

Removing RSS feeds from mail in new Safari???

While I haven't yet uploaded Mountain Lion as I was waiting to observe all the little bugs that were sure to pop up, I did have a software update in which Safari was updated on my current Lion OS, which effectively made it the same version as Mountain Lion.
I also am disappointed regarding the removal of many RSS feeds that I had, I was also so stupid as to attempt to move forward on my own without further research. As a result, I now am getting a feed from a particular source into my email, which is driving me nuts since it uploads news feeds VERY frequently. And, frnakly, I don't want them in my email anyway.
So can someone outline a "For Dummies" version of how to remove the RSS news feeds from my email in the new Safari?

Found the Answer!!!! Click on the RSS feed logo in Mailboxes then go to 'Mailbox' in Mail menu, and select 'Delete Feed' And hey presto - IT'S GONE! YES!!!

Is it STILL impossible to remove individual attachments from Mail messages?

Could someone tell me if I just cannot find it anywhere, or does Apple's Mail for Mavericks 10.9.1 still not permit the removal of individual attachments from email messages?

The only way is to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. I know that is not a desirable solution..

How to remove gmail-account from Mail

Now that my MobileMe-mail is up and running, and the mails to my gmail-account are forwarded to MM, I want to remove the gmail-account from the sidebar in Mail. However, when I right click theaccount I want to remove and click "delete mailbox" nothing happens, and the gmail-account still appears in the sidebar.
Does anyone know what I should do to delete it?

In Mail, select the File -> Preferences menu. Click on Accounts in the toolbar. Select your gmail account on the list on the left and press the Advanced tab. Uncheck the Enable This Account box. That should do it.

How to remove duplicate messages from Mail in Mavericks (POP)

I'm having some significant problems with Apple Mail, and despite having researched widely, I haven't been able to find a solution yet. Here is my tale of woe...
My set up is that I use Mail with 5 separate accounts, downloading all messages using POP. I keep all my mail so that I have a permanent record of all conversations, going back more than 10 years - this is about 250,000 emails. I'm running the latest version of Mavericks on a 2010 MBP. I have no intention of moving to IMAP - I need to keep a local archive of all my mail.
A few months ago I was having problems with Mail being very slow to load and search emails. I decided to rebuild the mailboxes, but afterwards discovered that thousands of messages in the inbox of one of my accounts (and some of the sub-folders) had disappeared. Once I realised I tried to go back to a recent Time Machine back up, but, for whatever reason, that part of the back up hadn't worked properly and I was unable to recover the previous status. Ileft it while I decided what to do, and had time to deal with it.
The last 2 years worth of emails on that account were still archived on gmail, so last week I decided to try redownloading the whole lot (something like 72,000 messages), and then uplanned to use one of the scripts I was aware of to remove the duplicates to the trash, and then remove any duplicates in the trash forever. That ought to mean I at least had an archive of the last two years of missing messages, even if I had no record of which ones had been flagged or replied to, etc.
The downloading took about 24 hours to complete, and I now have almost 70,000 messages in the inbox of that account. However, I hadn't figured on two things:
1. Mail 'hides' duplicate messages, meaning that all of the messages I've downloaded are showing as unread, and I can't differentiate the ones I already had in my Inbox, and the new downloads. When I click on those apparently unread messages I can see if they have been replied to or forwarded, etc, but there's no obvious way for me to remove the ones I have already dealt with to the trash, without going through them all manually, which is clearly impossible.
2. The scripts I'd found for removing duplicates don't work. Andreas Amann's Remove Duplicates script doesn't work under Mavericks, and he has abandoned the project. I've also tried the remove-duplicate-messages.scpt made by Jolly Roger (http://jollyroger.kicks-***.org/software/), and while it *sometimes* works on individual subfolders on my Mac (but as far as I can tell removes the duplicate in that folder, rather than the newly downloaded version), mostly it doesn't work at all - it creates a 'Remove Duplicate Messages' folder on my desktop, a log inside it and a folder for removed messages, but nothing appears in the duplicates folder.
So, I'm left in a position where I have 70,000 apparently unread messages in my Inbox, a massively bloated Mail library (which has pretty much doubled in size), a slow and unresponsive Mail program. Remove vertical scrollbar from multi-row af:inputText

Is it possible?
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1
I have two text field (af:inputText) and field 2 is a multi line row, which automatically adds extra width for the vertical scrollbar, and throws off the right alignment

I need both field 1 and 2 to be left and right aligned
i.e.
field 1 |_______|
field 2 |_______|
Is there a way to do this? I was thinking this could be achieved by removing the vertical scrollbar, but I'm not sure how to do this.
Also, the application needs to be viewed in both mobile device (iPad) and desktop. Since iPad doesn't use scrollbar (hence it's not rendered), setting both fields to have fixed width won't achieve what i need, because it will be correct in one version, but not both.

How to remove my picture from mail

In Mail, when I send a email, I just noticed that the sender also gets a picture of me as the recieptant. How can this be corrected, I do not wont a picture of me attached to email.

It uses the image from your contact card in the Contacts app. Find your card, click on the View menu and select Clear Custom Image.
Also, note that this image only shows up on your computer, not the recipient's.

Removing RSS Feed from Mail

I never use RSS feeds, and doubt I ever will. Being that I am very OCD about the visual components of my programs, I am very annoyed by the RSS Feed in the side bar under my mailboxes. I have it set to never update to alleviate the more annoying issue of having a bunch of unread feeds show up as a number next to it, but was unable to find an option that would allow me to fully remove it. Is there a way this can be done, so I both no longer subscribe to any RSS feeds as well as having the drop down not appear under my mailboxes?

My bad, I found the answer I was looking for. For those who come looking for answers to the question I asked:
Click on an RSS feed (I only had one, the Apple one) and go up to the mailbox option on the menu bar. From there you can scroll down to near the bottom of the drop down menu after clicking, and click an option that says "Delete Feed". It will ask if you are sure, which I assume you will be if you're reading this, so click yes. That one feed is now gone, however, if you delete all of your feeds the RSS drop down no longer appears below your mailboxes. It was surprisingly simple, I was a bit embarassed it took me this long to figure out

How to remove horizontal lines from black and white prints in LR 5?

hello, i have LR 5 on my iMac running Mavericks OS...i am very happy with it except for when i print from the print module when the pictures are black and white...color seems to be fine...but, the problem is that there are vertical lines space evenly apart running down the pictures...generally if it is with sky as a background...but the lines do run through the main subject as well...any suggestions...thanks in advance...

thanks for your reply...my printer is an HP 7520 Photosmart...i have done all of the diagnostics on the printer and everything seems to be fine...it doesn't do the line thing when the pictures are in color...or, if in b/w, in a closeup...

Remove horizontal scroll bar from iview

My portal page have 2 iviews and one of them is Webdynpro iview; these iviews are placed in the page horizontally. Page and webdynpro ivew both of them have unnecessarily horizontal scrollbar. At least I want to remove horizontal scrollbar from iView. (Our portal version is 6.0 SP 18). It looks like that it is not possible to do this by changing any iView property. Even I checked theme properties but figured out nothing.
Who knows more and can help me?

Its possible to remove the horizondal tool bar in an iView.
Either you can change/modify the content that making horizondal tool bar or Customize the Layout
in portal.
Download the layout par file and upload into NWDS. Create your own layout/ changing the width of existing one. If you are modifying the existing layout, then that may effect all other pages where that particular layour is beeing used.

[F8] Tree Component: How can I hide/remove the scrollbar and border?

I'm using the Tree Component in my Flash 8 Pro - Project. I'm
trying to customize the look of the Tree component in two ways:
1. Is there any way to remove the scrollbar from the Tree
Component?
2. Can I also remove the Border from the Tree Component?
I checked the Component Inspector and couldn't find any
options for the scrollbar nor the border.
Does anyone know how to do this or could you point me in the

You can use the Status-4-Evar extension to replace some functionality that was lost withthe removal of the Status bar in Firefox 4.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" after you have installed the Status-4-Evar extension and drag the items (Status Text, Progress Meter, Download Status) upon the Add-ons Bar (View > Toolbars > [X] Add-on Bar)
