My dad gave me his old iphone as he got an upgrade. I can't seem to change his icloud account to mine. I'm getting his updated calender and his mail - and there seems to be some confusion between both our accounts. He seems to be acquiring some of my contacts - some of which have names which have led to some probing questions... So basically this needs to be sorted out! How can i delete his account from the iphone but not his whole icloud account? he would not be happy if i did this...

Well, Thats was the first time I`ve used Icloud, so I don`t have much experience, and I just active Icloud on my devices and I dont know why all my outlook contacts went to my iphone contacts. Depending how many contacts you started with and where they were from? were they on your sim card before? to remove ALL contact from an iPhone go to iTunes / info un-tick Sync Contacts and change Outlook to another addrss book that has nothing stored in it (ie. empty) sync your phone with that and that will leave your phone with no contacts. Next look for the backup where you had your previous contacts loaded (group) and re sync it to put them back. Chech iTunes when you plug in your phone that it doesn't sync immediately when you plug it in to eliminate future problems.

If you did not sign out of your Apple ID on your iPhone before creating a new one, then you will need to sign back in with your previous Apple ID and then sign out. If you do not remember your password and do not have access to the email account, then you can reset your password by using the security questions.

Manual delete album [How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store] Not work.
Re-download album and sync to the iPhone then try to remove again. Not work.
May be a digital booklet problem. But it's not. [iBooks: Syncing iTunes Digital Booklets to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch] Not work.
Sign-out from iTunes, iCloud / reboot the iPhone / sign-in again. Not work.

I had this issue with my iPhone - drove me nuts. Tried everything.
It appears to be an issue with a persistent file in the Purchases folder in the iPhone/iPad directory, which I could only access with a file browsing utility (iBrowse). Once installed you can browse to the Purchases folder and delete all the entries.
Check the box in iTunes to Manually Manage Music and then delete the grey U2 tracks.
Sync and they'll be gone
Fixed!

How can I remove my old phone number from my iPhone?

I want to sell my old iPhone 5 (Sprint), and I want to get everything off of it. Obviously I'd restore it and remove everything first, but how do I get the 'My number' to change from my current phone number (which was ported to T Mobile and is with a newer phone now) to something else/removed? I remember I had the same problem a few years ago with an android phone, and I kept getting texts from my number on it (both phones at the same time), I obviously don't want something like this to happen again, especially if I sell it.

Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Sign out of iTunes and sign in with the new ID. On your computer, under on of the iTunes menus, on your iPad Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap on the Apple ID.
Note that all apps downloaded under the previous ID are locked to that ID, and you will have to sign back onto it for any updates.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

Welcome to the Apple community Mickeymom.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.
