HT1296 I am trying to sync my ipod to my computer thru itunes, I have already successfully synced my ipad, but keep getting stuck on the sync for the ipod it identifies, the device appears to be syncing but doesn't show up my new music or my new playlist?
I am trying to sync my i-pod to my computer thru itunes. I successfully synced my Ipad thru the computer, but am trying to do the same with the Ipod. The device shows up on my computer and appears to be syncing, but nothing changes. I have tried dragging the new music to the device, but a symbol appears with a slash thru the middle, as if denying access, any suggestions what to try next. I have synced on this Ipod succesfully in the past, Suggestions?

Was the iPod set up by wifi or setup or synced to another computer/iTunes library?

trying to log into firefox but keep getting firefox is in offline mode and can't browse the web, I've unchecked the work offline in the file menu but still get error message...
The work offline option can be found from Firefox button -> Web developer or from the menubar toolbar -> Work offline (Or at least thats what happens in Windows).
Have you any other reason for being offline; router off, firefox not dialing up or whatever. Or is security software or a firewall blocking firefox, or a network connection, or firefox setting etc set wrongly.

Upgrading to Yosemite

Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

Trying to download CS6 design & Web premium suite but keeps getting stuck at 10.28%
I have tried to download CS6 design & Web premium suite over 6 time but it keeps getting stuck at 10.28%.
Please adviseI am having exactly the same error when downloading Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premuim for PC. The Adobe Download Assistant stops the download at 10.28% complete and will not go any further. I've cleared my cookies, tried different browsers (IE 10 & Chrome), I've uninstalled and reinstalled the download assistant. I tried Jeff's advice from the previous post (although that I think is more to help with troubleshooting after the software is downloaded.) I also tried restarting the download over and always, it stops at the same spot (10.28%) and will go no further.
I am currently running Windows 7 64-bit. Any help would be appreciated. -

If your iPad isn't booting up completely and is stuck on the Apple logo, then I'd like you to please start with resetting the iPad.

If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:

Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Trying to set up my new iphone 5c using the iTunes back up from my iPhone 4. It keeps getting stuck on step 2 of 5 "syncing calendars" Considering I hardly use the calendar I don't know why it would take so long. (18 hours and counting)

I am trying to connect my new ipad to my BT Home Hub but keep getting a message saying that I am unable to join the Home Hub network. Any advice?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Trying to sync iPhone to pc but keeps getting internal device error on screen, also showing only 4gb size instead of 32gb. Uninstalled iTunes from pc and reloaded. Powered back up and all songs and info still in place. Anyone had this problem before?
Doublechecking something Emcee. I see you've got Windows 7 x64, so I'm assuming you've got at least 4 GB of RAM. Do you also have an NVIDIA USB EHCI chipset on that PC? If so, see the following Microsoft document:

After a LOT of research, I found a simple step that solved this issue for me.
I had been running my sync (pre - IOS 7.4) as automatic - see the options section under the summary tab
This can be viewed when you click on your device - right up the top you'll see tabs
SUMMARY / INFO / APPS / TONES / MUSIC / MOVIES / TV SHOWS / BOOKS / PHOTOS etc.
I changed my selection to manually manage music and videos and tried another sync
Wha La!
It began to copy over 700 songs that had not properly synced to my Ipad 2
BONUS: it then started to sync my videos again.
Hope this helps somebody.
It certainly made my life less frustrating
Downside: I have to MANUALLY manage - but it's better than all the hassles
NB: I don't know why this error occurs and I'm not sure this fix will work for everyone's issues but it can't hurt. -

I am trying to get the artwork for an album. "Artwork Not Modifiable" appears in the artwork box and it doesn't let me drag artwork. What can I do to fix this?
Words simply can't describe what a kludge iTunes has become. Every time Apple fixes one problem, a dozen more pop up. It's like trying to hold a bunch of ping-pong balls under water simultaneously.
The immediate problem is that Lion with iTunes buggers the artwork. Some it loses, some it can't find, and some appears and disappears like the Flying Dutchman (look it up...).
The bigger issue is that so MUCH of iTunes is bad, in general. Apple trys to use iTunes as a Swiss Army knife, using it to synch iPhones, iPads, etc. The app has become so generic that it is actually good at nothing.
The interfrace is kludgy; moving the library from one location to another virtually guarantees a wasted day and usually lost art, music, or backups.
In general, Apple's hardware and software is relatively ergonomically designed. I-Tunes, however just plain SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! -
I have several times tried to stop following a thread in the PDF's forum about security issues and i still keep getting flooded with emails from this thread. I used the action within the thread that says stop following but appears to have no effect I still keep getting from 5 to 20 emails daily. Please help!!!!!!!

I am trying to hook up my Airport Express to my current network and AirPort Extreme but keep getting the same error message: "This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Any thoughts?
This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express.
