im having problem with my ipod,have screen on with cord supose to be sync but when i plug in itunes i have a masege that cant sync becouse ipod have password on but i cant go on the screen with password dosn't let me any time i turn on ipod i only have screen with cord on it not the one with password,,,i dont know what to do i keep shuting down same thing so please help

When i sync my ipod, i have noticed on the left hand side, under devices, my ipod, when i click on music, some of the songs are grey, and the others are black. Aren't those the default games that come with the iPod Classic? If so, they won't be in your iTunes library, but only on your iPod Classic itself as they are built in the iPod's software.

This is an iPod shuffle...? A shuffle has no screen, so your problem description does not make sense. Your profile says "iPod nano," so is this question about an iPod nano? If so, have you tried doing a Reset?

- See if placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allow a restore.. It bypasses the passcode (and erases the iPod)

the computer is a macbook pro, mac os x 10.6.08 and the ipod touch is ios 6.0.
the problem is that just updated the itunes on the computer and now the ipod won't connect because apparently the itunes on the ipod is not up to date but the iod is telling me that is is up to date, so i can't do a software update.

Have you moved Pages from its installed location? Or just dragged a copy to your current system?
It can't find some of its resources apparently.

Second time also the service centre replaced the battery but were unable to give me a reason.
I had asked them to replace the laptop as this has been happening repeatedly and seems to be something with the laptop
otherwise why should every battery they put swell ?
This is the third time this has happened. And now they refuse to replace the battery or the laptop also.
What is the solution?

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and press the problem. Elevate to store manager if necessary. Maybe the charging circuits are defective resulting in overcharging which is causing the battery problem.

Thanks it resloved my question, but Apple has made it more complicated it was so much easier to just press the edit button and select messages to be deleted. Now its cumbersome to delete several messages. Apple should give us back the edit button.

if u had added the photo in the ipod
then do this ( step 1 , step 2),
step 1 : Go on the setting -> main menu -> and select photos
step 2 : Then go on main menu (not in the setting) & go on photos ,
then u can view the pics in ur ipod
if u do not have added the pics in the ipod
then do this (STEP 3 TO 6) ,
step 3 : Goto itune
step 4 : Click on left side icon of ur ipod
step 5 : Click on photos(or picture) on right-top side
step 6 : Browse the folder in which ur selected photos r
and click on sync. on the right-bottom corner.
After these 4 steps use above 2 steps in same order

Whenever I try to sync my ipod touch, it doesn't work. The computer seems to get hung during the back up stage. It says it is backing up the ipod but nothing happens, for hours. I eventually have to interrupt it and give up.

I have the latest itunes.
I tried resetting sync history.
For this section:
If the issue persists, and you know all your contacts, calendars, bookmarks and notes are on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Remove all of the contact and calendar information from Outlook.
Select the device in iTunes and click the Info tab.
Scroll down to the Advanced section, and under "Replace information on this iPhone/iPad/iPod touch" make sure Contacts and Calendars are not selected.
Click Apply.
This doesn't seem to make sense for my situation. I don't sync anything between outlook and my ipod touch.
I have no other USB devices connected to my computer.
I have no other Windows users on my computer - only me and I am the administrator. However on my diagnostic, it said this user is not the administrator. Weird.
So I have tried to follow that you referred me to, but still I haven't got it working yet. Do you have any further suggestions?
