There is no convenient way to share I books with non iOS devices. For the future, download the kindle app or the nook app. Their libraries can be accessed by any device that has an app.
In a perfect world, apple would make an I book reader available on the google market, but that has not happened.

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I downloaded different books on my iPad from iBook but when I try to read them the book isn't complete and I see lots of pages with error.
Have you tried closing the iBooks app completely and seeing if it works ok when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e.not with the iBooks app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iBooks app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If neither of the above work then you could also try deleting the app and re-installing it - as long as the books are still in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used then you can re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 -
i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully. They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac. Is this a synch issue? When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased. Is that true? My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well. Thanks.
You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

You should not have to purchase the book again. Are you looking in the purchased section of the iBook Store on the iPad?

Can I transfer a book I have downloaded onto my Mac in error? I purchased a book meant for ipad only. Silly me. Could I for example transfer it to my wifes ipad - if so - where would I find it on my Mac.
Mac OS X 10.9 can read the book. Do you have that?

Ibooks are ONLY for use on ipod touch, iphone and ipad.
You can indeed store books on your computer, but you cannot read them there -

Assuming they are in iTunes ....Go to iTunes Files>Transfer Purchases
They should then show up in iTunes on your iMac. -

If you mean iBooks from the iBookstore (they cannot be bought in iTunes itself) then they can only be read in the iBooks app - so that means either an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. They cannot be read on a computer.

This is not new. The fact that Mac OS no longer supports PowerPC applications starting with OS X Lion has been known for over a year now. You'll need to upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop

As long as they don't have some sort of digital rights management that ties them to another system/app then yes.
You can add them to the Books section of your iTunes library either via File > Add File To Library (or Add Folder To Library), or by dragging and dropping them onto iTunes. If Books doesn't appear as one of your libraries on the left-hand side of your iTunes then you can add it by ticking it on the General tab in Edit > Preferences. You can then sync (via the device's Books tab) or drag them across to your iPad, in a similar way to how you sync other content. -
I have a Kindle and the new iPad 3. I downloaded one of my Kindle books to my iPad. Now I want to remove the book from my iPad. When I highlight the book, the "device" button (which I think I am supposed to use) disappears. How do I get the select the book and get it off the iPad and back to my Kindle? Thanks for your help.
To remove the book simply touch and hold the cover on the main page. A little pop up will ask, remove? Say yes. The book content will de deleted. The cover will remain on your main page with a little down arrow so that you can redownload it if you wan in the cloud view. In the device view, it simply disappears.
Note at the bottom of the page are a couple of switches, labeled cloun and device. The device switch shows you books on your device. The cloud page shows your whole catalog, and the down arrow allows you to bring down anything in your catalog to the device. -

You should be able to copy them over to your Mac's iTunes by connecting the iPad to it and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that should copy PDFs and epubs that are in iBooks, not just actual ibooks) - does that not work ?

Depending on why it's been disabled, you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it -

Ipads purchased in the UAE do not have FaceTime as it is prohibited by the UAE. You cannot add FaceTime to those iPads no matter where it might be used.
