i synced my iphone yesterday now it looks like my ipod!!! please need help fixing this and getting all my iphone data(messages and contacts) BACK. How do i do this?

You must have somehow restored your iPhone from an iPod Touch backup file.
To recover you should restore your iPhone from the last iPhone backup file you have or from the Cloud if you were using it.

Have you synced back up to your iTunes account? This happened to me too, and when I synced back up with iTunes, all of my photos were backed up to my iTunes account and loaded back onto my iPhone.

If placed on Apple's online store, you can change/modify your order up to the point where your order is labeled "Preparing for Shipment". Just login to the store, bring up your order & modify there.

But if I try to sync my phone to the newly downloaded iTunes on this new computer, it wants to erase everything. Is there a way I can have all my music back on iTunes without losing it off my phone? If they aren't purchased from iTunes, then you are going to have to find them and download them onto your computer and back into your iTunes library.
You can turn off photo syncing, and import the ones from your phone onto your computer.

I have authorized a new computer, and itunes is not registering recent purchases. How do I get my entire library back on this new computer without having to re-buy them all?

I have connected my iphone to my computer but it is registered to my daughters account and i cannot get my apps and pictures back.

my daughter registered her iphone first to my computer and now i have connected mine to update it and it has taken all my apps, pictures, phone numbers, right back to minimum.
when i go onto sign into my account on my itunes on the phone it lets me sign into my account but when i want to go onto icloud it wont let me change my log on details from my daughters. so i tried to reset the whole iphone but it asked me for a restriction pin which i do not know what this is. i have entered it wrong two times already and dernt try another time.
please can you help me asap. i need to get all my items back up and running.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

Where did you download it from and how ? If you downloaded it from the ibookstore in the iBooks app then it should be on the bookshelf back in the iBooks app (tap the Library button at the top left of the store if you are still in it). Only ibooks that you buy from the ibookstore or your computer's iTunes will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app (and they will only show there whilst they remain in your country's store).
If you were using a site on Safari then unless you specified an app to download it into then it will only be in Safari's cache and will you won't be able to access it. If you did buy it via Safari then depending upon the site that you bought/downloaded it from then it might have digital rights management on it that will tie it to that store's apps/ereaders - if the site has its own app in the app store then download that and you might be able to download the book directly in it.

I have new 4s. Backed up old 3G on iTunes, attempted to sync new 4s to iTunes and keep getting message that new iphone does not have 10.5 but have downloaded on all Mac devices. How do I get old settings to my new 4s?

I purchased the new iPhone 4S tonight. Previously used the 3G. Synced the 3G, plugged in the new 4S and got message could new iPhone did not have 10.5 and to go to iTunes and download. Did that on both new 4S and made sure iTunes on Mac had 10.5. Tried again. Got same message. Cannot sync new 4S to iTunes and restore to move my photos and contacts to new 4S. What can I do?
