What are you trying to transfer? What does the manual say for the Samsung to get whatever data it is that you want to transfer from one device to the other? This may be something you want to ask in a Samsung forum, since you are trying to manipulate a Samsung phone.

Well the new Desktop Manager can ONLY sync up with a Media Card. You would need to download Desktop Manager 4 with Roxio Media Manager to access the device memory.

We want you to be able to easily manage your content, dlh5295. Backup Assistant on the Brightside would typically be used for contact transfer only. What is happening with Backup Assistant? Do you have a memory card in the device? What model is your new device?

Group the photo is an album. Select all and export to a folder on the Desktop using the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu.
Select Kind = Current if you want to include those photos you've edited.
Insert a CD into the optical drive, drag the folder onto the CD icon and drag the CD icon to the Trash bin which changes to Burn.

There is no way to transfer ipod-to-ipod. Look for a 3rd party program, such as Yamipod, that will let you pull the music from your old iPod to your computer.
You really should be backing up your data on your computer.

It is confusing why Reynolds Films 2014 is replying to your thread, talking about Photoshop Elements.
Assuming some version of Premiere Elements currently on some Windows operating system.
What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system does it exist?
How did you install your version of Premiere Elements on Windows - installation files from an online purchase or
from installation disc from purchase of the product in box packaging?
What installation files or installation disc do you have?
You cannot install Premiere Elements Windows installation files on a Mac computer. If you want Premiere Elements
for your Mac computer, you will need to buy a version of Premiere Elements Mac that is supported by your Mac computer.
If you purchased Premiere Elements Windows in box packaging, it probably came with 2 installation discs, one for
Windows and one for Mac. If that is the case, use the Mac installation disc to try to install the program on your
Mac computer.
But, we need the details from you in order to sort out what is and what needs to be done.

Since I don't use iPhoto as a primary editor or storage, the

Four transfers. After the initial attempt with Migration Assistant failed (after hours and hours of wifi transfer) I did "mini-transfers" of more manageable, smaller bits of files -- my music in one, photos in another, etc. Since posting my question in this forum, i contacted Apple support, chatted with Angela, and she suggested getting an ethernet-USB adapter for my mac, connecting my external drive with ethernet and transferring files manually -- that is, NOT using the Migration Assistant at all. I will never know if the problem was one of transfer or format compatibility. The movie would not copy from one external hard diask to another, both attached to my MAC. But when the movie (which was in mpg by the way) was downloaded directly (without any other intermediary) into my external disk from the computer (a PC) where the movie was originated, the file did copy. And when I attached that external hard disk to my MAC, i could see it using the MPEC streamclip app.

You can transfer your documents from within the Pages app (there are instructions here), and you can copy the app to your computer's iTunes for backup purposes (File > Transfer Purchases), but you can't use the iPad's Pages app on your Mac, they are different operating systems.
