I have a Power Mac G4 and i am trying to get it to work with my LCD Monitor/TV. The connection on the computer is DVI and the connection on the Monitor is DVI. The Monitor says in the manual to hook up computers using the DVI connection. When I connect the too the monitor says there is no video input. Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

It does make sense. The iPhone is a one-person device and just syncs to one computer.
The way it should work is as follows:
Old computer content ---> New computer
New computer <---> syncs to iPhone
But the way you are trying to operate sounds like:
Old computer content ---> iPhone
... and ...
New computer content <---> iPhone
So simply move your old stuff (either directly from iTunes, or from a computer backup) to the new computer, have it all there, then sync your iPhone to the new machine.

Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.

I have a ipod touch gen 2 and I am trying to get airplay to work with my pioneer Elite VSX receiver.

I have a gen 2 IPOD touch with the current operating system (4.2.1). As well I have a Pioneer A/V Elite series VSX 52 that is airplay ready. On my ipod touch there is no airplay icon(s) with the music feature. I am trying to make this work but have no results. If there is a download that I need to enable to have this function work.

There are no setting on the iPod. Unlike the iPad wich morrors the iPad display, TV out on an iPod only displays TV out on apps that support TV out. The Video app is one such app.
Is that you problem?

Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
