When snycing my iPad notes to my Mac Laptop, I lost my iPad notes. Is it possible to recover my notes?

On a Mac, they go into Mail--look under Reminders/Notes in the lefthand source pane.

To be honest before i restored my phone i connected to the computer i let itunes to finish the automatic syncing and than made backup and restored and than restored from backup wich didnt helped. I'm disapointed because i can see my contacts when i acces Wondershare but i cant copy them .... So basicaly they were saved in backup because Wondershare is using the backup to bring back the things.

RECOVERING NOTES AFTER iCal issues

For some time I realised I had problems wirh calendars not synchronising between my iMac and MacBook Pro.
I followed recommended process to disconnect from iCloud and erase all locol data expecting to recover later when reconnecting to iCloud. I should add that Notes had not been selected for iCloud back up on both Macs, however they seem to sync so did not worry.....When I reconnected to iCloud and removed other links to Google, Facebook.... all seemed OK.
I now realise that I have lost ALL my notes on both Macs. I have been trying to recover from Time Machine as I have separate back up for each Mac but I just cannot find the back up file in Time Machine!! several support pages refer to a "Containers" in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/
I have searched both Time Machine and bpoth Macs....I just cannot find!!
Please advise where or how to find it.

Thanks for feedback, clearly this is one solution I was not aware of. Whilst waiting for response I also reread similar posts and FINALLY understood what had been written! I had not realised the Library folder had to be selected under Finder before accessing! It is not enough to have Library showing under "Show View Options"

PS I forgot I also had third iMac for my wife but with me as Admin, opening Notes without WI FI On gave e access back.
I now need to understand how to configure Notes and iCloud operation......the learning goes on......

Iphone deletes notes after sync

After syncinc to my mac, my iphone deleted 3 years worth of important notes. Where did they go? I read about some fixes relating to icloud. I don't use icloud and never will. These are confidential notes, so I also don't want them emailed to my email address which happened once, because I check my emails on multiple computers and all of a sudden my private notes appeared at work and at the library and all sorts of places. How do I use notes and then back them up to the itunes on my home computer only, without having the notes emailed all over the world?

I've resolved my issue through Apple technical support. I'd like to provide the resolution for the issue so that if anyone happens to have the same problem in the future, he/she may refer to my post here for a solution.
Apple Support had me delete the Yahoo! email account, readd it as "other", and since I could not get the account to authenticate under POP settings, we added the account under IMAP settings. Upon doing this, all notes (even the ones I wrote when the issue was occurring) "magically" reappeared.
Issue resolved; mods feel free to lock.

How do I recover notes after a "Restore iPhone" without using a backup?

I have a bunch of notes on my iPhone in the "on My iPhone" account. To fix the vanishing music problem on my iPhone, the Apple store had me hard restore my iPhone and told me not to restore from backup. I can find how to replace my music, calendars, etc from iTunes, but I can't figure out how to restore my "notes". Since I've been storing a lot of stuff in notes, I need to get the notes back. There is no obvious place in iTunes. There are no notes in my my "notes" app in OS 10.9.

If they were in the "On my iPhone" account, they are gone now. You would have had to sync them to the Notes app on your Mac.
Did you ever do a backup? If so, there are some programs that claim they can extract data from backups, so trying one of those may be worth doing.

Recover notes after ios8 update

I have an iphone 4s. I updated to i0s 8.0.2 and it deleted all of my notes. I have no backup to go off of, nothing on the cloud, and a few (from December of last year until the present) saved in gmail. I tried the 3rd party recovery sites which found nothing. I need all of them, because they are conversations, thoughts, and statements by my father who died of pancreatic cancer in September of last year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Contacts are not part of your backup (except for recent call history). Your contacts came back probably because you're syncing them to Gmail or some other email service.
Your Camera Roll photos are part of your backup, and your Photo Stream is in iCloud, so those would be expected to come back.
As for your notes, were you syncing notes to any of your email accounts? Did you have more than one email account using notes? Check them all, since if they did not come back from your backup that means they were syncing to something. The only notes that get into your backup are notes that are only on the device (i.e. not synced to any other source).

Apps disappear after syncing with itunes

I have a problem. it only started after i bought my new iMac and migrated all my docs etc from my macbook using Migrate Assistance. when i download apps on my iphone, after i sync with itunes they just dissapear.

I know I am late in posting to this discussion but I had to put my two cents in. I am having the exact same problem on my 3GS. I use a PC to connect to itunes and more often than not after syncing is complete all of my apps have gone out of the organized folders! I wouldn't complain if I only had 20-30 apps to deal with but I have 495! I have called Apple on this problem several times and they have continued to plea ignorance saying that they have never had anyone call in with this problem before! Obviously this is not the case by all of the people writing about the same thing! I hope that Apple will get with their programmers and figure out what the heck is going on...we deserve better than this! Mr. Jobs would not be so well-off without us so he needs to take better care of his customers! Well, I FINALLY talked to someone that seemed to have a solution to my problem! I thought that you only needed to organize your apps into folders on the actual phone...nobody had asked me before if I had organized them directly on itunes. I am in the process of doing this now and I hoping beyond hope that by doing this my folders stay organized! Although, there was one time when I was just sitting at my desk and my folders all became disorganized when it wasn't even plugged into any computer or being charged with a wall outlet! We will have to wait and see!

My Nokia 6230 was full of contacts.
My MacBook Pro adress book was empty.
After syncing, my phone is empty... I have no backup !
When iSync deletes a contact from the phone, does it store the information somewhere on the mac before ?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Your contacts are not backed up as they are removed - they are simply removed. Unless you had previously backed up the contents of your mobile handset in some manner, there is no possibility of recovering your records.
iSync executed what it believed you wanted it to do: a command to replace the contents of your mobile handset with the contents of an empty Address Book, rather than merge records from the two devices. Generally, you are given a choice of Merge or Replace when performing a first-time synchronization.

My phone is not syncing properly, I wanted to add another playlist to it that I created on my Mac. I pluged in my phone and made sure the playlist I wanted to add was checked to be on my phone when I synced.
The playlist I wanted to add was "Country." It is clearly checked. I also wanted to add the "Recently Added" playlist, which I also checked before sycing. Currently, my phone only has the "Purchased" playlist and my "All Songs" playlist on it. When I hit sync, iTunes added another playlist automatically added another playlist to the list above and checked it. It was titled "ALL SONGS 1" and had ten fewer songs in it than the playlist I had created, "ALL SONGS" had. This playlist, however does not show up on my phone after syncing, nor does "Country" or "Recently Added." (Every time I sync, another playlist is created as "ALL SONGS 2, 3, 4, etc.") One of the songs (I have not, yet checked the other songs) that I purchased from within iTunes Radio shows up in the "ALL SONGS 1" on this screen:
But does not show up anywhere else. This playlist does not show up anywhere but the two screens above. The ALL SONGS 1 or 2 playlists do not show up here:
When I search for those song in my library, it shows that I do not have them:

"Summertime Sadness," one of the songs I bought from iTunes Radio, does not show up in the iTunes store under purchased "All" or "Not on This iPhone"
But, it does show up under "Recent Purchases"
Also, this is what playlists are on my phone after syncing a million times:
Only what was on there before I started any of this. "Summertime Sadness" and the other songs I bought from inside iTunes Radio, do not show up in either of these playlists. Please, help me.

There are songs in my library that do not show up on my ipod after syncing.
Why would this happen ?

Do they play in iTunes on the computer?
Are they from a different source or format that the ones that do sync?

Songs purchased on iPhone through iTunes Store will not show up on iPhone after syncing with iTunes

I recently purchased iTunes Match (about a month ago). Since purchasing Match, any songs that I have bought on my iPhone 4S (32GB, Sprint) through the iTunes Store app will not sync back to my iPhone after syncing with iTunes on my computer. I have iOS 7.1.2 and iTunes 11.3.0.54. The only way I can get them to show back up in my iPhone music library so I can play them is by re-downloading the songs through the iTunes Store app. Which is super annoying because now it is about 10 songs that keep doing this, and they are in multiple playlists. Is anyone else having this problem and have you found any fixes? Really regretting purchasing the iTunes Match (which is not enabled on my iPhone, just on my computer).

How to create custom ringtones ...
1. Open iTunes.
2. Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone.
3. Listen to the song and find the part of it you want to use. The chorus may be a good place to start.
4. Write down the start and stop times of the clip.
5. Right-click the song and select "Get Info."
6. Click the "Options" tab.
7. Type in the start time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Start Time" in the minutes:seconds (i.e., 2:01) format.
8. Type in the end time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Stop Time." Make sure the ringtone is no more than 30 seconds long.
9. Click "OK."
10. Right-click your song again and select "Convert Selection to AAC." Wait for iTunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version.
11. Right-click the ringtone and select "Delete."
12. Click on the "Keep Files" button.
13. Find the file. It's usually in your User folder under "Music > iTunes > iTunes Music" and under the band's name. It will have an extension of m4a.
14. Replace the m4a extension of your ringtone with m4r. You can either double-click slowly to rename your file, or right-click and select "Get Info" on a Mac or "Rename" on a Windows PC.
15. Click "Use .m4r" or the PC equivalent when the system warns you that the change may affect the use of your file.
16. Double-click the ringtone file. ITunes will automatically add it to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library.
17. Connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones.
Oh, also to change a file extension. (not sure on Mac), but in Windows you need to go to "control panel" select "folder options". You need to uncheck the box "hide file extension for known file types". This will allow you to view and change the files extensions.

i got a new computer and synced my iphone with it for the first time, i didnt realize the box for erase photos after synce was checked and my photos got erased off my iphone. i got the photos onto my iphone again by going into itunes clicked on the button to go into sync settings for the iphone on the top bar from there i clicked photos and picked the folder with the photos i just synced. i was hoping there was a way to move my photos back into caemra roll. right now i have 4 albums. camera roll, photo library, an album i titled, the album of photos synced with onto my phone that had the pictures that got deleted. the photo library and the photos synced albulm have the same thing in them
