HT1296 tried to update both iphone 5 and ipad mini and itunes sent errors to both and now on each device it says to connect to itunes but nothing happens
i have tried to update both my iphone and ipad to the new software on itunes and both came up errors and locked me out telling me to connect to itunes but nothing happens
Try putting them in DFU mode. This helped me when it happened to my iPhone 5.
If you don't know how to do that there are plenty of tutorials on the internet. It only takes a couple seconds.

I can't seem to export a slideshow from iPhoto. I go through the export routine, but an iPhoto page comes up with other slideshows I've sent to iTunes, but nothing happens. Why has my ipad mini stopped connecting with my iPhone 4S? I used to use it to download books, or transfer emails to my ipad mini. It was fine 3 days ago, now I get a message saying " cannot join with iPhone" Any help greatly appreciated.
You can try resetting your iPad and iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. -

Sorry downgrading isn't supported by apple.
You can try settings - general - reset - reset network settings.

Unable to update or restore new iPad Mini 2. Get error 3014 on two different Macs. This is a new out of the box iPad Mini 2. Am on a managed network, but have not had this problem previously.
First thing to do is make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer.

My iPhone 5c and iPad mini won't charge. Can both charger ports be broken at the same time?
MMy iPhone 5c is dead and wont charge. My iPad mini also won't charge. So I thought it was my charge wire or charging block might be the proble. I've used other wores and other blocks and also plugged it into by laptop and neither are charging. So it would see that the charging port is broken on both. But it seems odd that both would break on the same day. Both are under a year old and I only ever use official Apple charging devises. Help!

It sounds like your iPhone 5c and iPad mini are not charging. It does seem odd that both devices are not charging from multiple chargers.
There are a few more steps that may help you charge your devices. Next, I'd try steps 1, 2, 4 and 5 from the article If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
If the battery doesn’t charge, unplug your device and try these steps:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.
If your devices still don't charge after trying all of these steps, the article suggests contacting Apple Support:

I tried to update my iphone through my itunes and recieved an error message. The phone then became frozen on the conect to itunes screen and I can not use the phone. I tried to reconect to itunes but it does not recoginze my phone it just stays frozen.
Try recovery mode as described here. You may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

I am trying to play songs from iTunes Match on my phone everything is enabled. The songs and playlists show up but when I select one it won't download or play. The download status icon next to the song name flashes on and off but nothing happens. When I go to the iTunes Store the download section shows the same behavior - it flashes that there is 1 download continuously but nothing downloads. My iPad on the same network also running ios6 works fine. Any ideas?
Problem closed (although not resolved). After working with Apple support, no resolution was found. I asked for a refund of the iTunes match purchase price, which was granted. Interestingly the support tech, who was very nice if not particularly helpful from a technical point of view, spun the "resolution" of refunding my iTunes match purchase price as a positive one, here is a quote from the final email
"I'm glad to hear that you're not having issues with the songs you've purchased. Nothing makes Apple happier than to hear that our customers concerns have been rectified."
It is notable that I never had an issue downloading music directly purchased thru the iTunes store, the only issue that existed was downloading songs that I ripped from my CD collection and "matched".
I'm happy that I received my money back, however I wish that the iTunes Match service worked for me (I was looking forward to this service). I'm most upset at the time I wasted trying to fix this problem.
I'll now download music the old fashioned way: syncing with iTunes directly. -

Hi there, i recently got my iPhone 4s from Canda and now im using it with an Australian SIm card ( yes it works ).
My iphone 4s is still running on iOS5.0.1 and i just tried to update it through my phone (not on the computer). When it finished updating, there was a picture on my phone with the Plug sign and the Itunes sign. So i thought that i had to restore it, not much of a problem.
After i restored it, the same picture kept coming up. *plug into itunes* and now i cant use my phone.

My new I pad was working fine till update was downloaded. After 1.12 Gb data was downloaded through Wi-Fi when tried to install it was not taking place & error meassage-network not available was coming. I tried to connect to my windows pc with windows 7 and first it recognised the i pad & through i tunes when tried to update the IOS after few hours of downloading the dat again ,now ipad is not visible & when connectedto any pc showing usb device not recognised. Please suggest what to do.

my iphone 4s fell and display went blank,and when i restarted it shows a USB on display asking to connect with itunes,instead i went to a phone repair shop where they service iphones too.First they said that they have to install the IOS4 again in it but they could not do so due to an error so later they asked me whether they should install IOS5 i agreed but it only happened after a long struggle yet the phone remains in the same state with the display showing USB asking to connect with itunes..they could not fix it..please help me..:(
What's there to help? You dropped your phone and now it's broken. You'll have to bring your phone into Apple for an out of warranty exchange. If you purchased Apple Care+ is will cost $49.00, if not, it will be $199.00

My iphone 4 is gone! I was updating it via my laptop and when I came back to it everything had been erased, and I mean everything, now I have no activation, no phone and until just a few minutes ago it wouldn't accept any password I used, so now what do I do? Should I take my phone to Verizon and let them take care of it? I seem to be getting nowhere on my pc. Thanks for the help!
