HT1296 Unable to Sync Contacts with Computer

I am having problems with my attempts to upload the Contacts in my iPhone, to my PC/laptop. I'm following a guide which contains screen grabs, but my screen doesn't look like what is shown and so I cannot proceed as I wish to.
I have no option to select 'Sync Contacts With' as the screen I am taken to under the Options Menu has a heading that says Sync Contacts with a box underneath that says:
Your contacts are being synced with your iPhone over the air from Cloud
Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone
There are no boxes to check, whatsoever.
Can anyone help with this, please?

You can only sync contacts with one source. You are currently synching with iCloud, so if you want to sync with your computer you will have to turn off iCloud sync.

I have just bought a new macbook air with new outlook 2011.
I have followed all the instructions but still cannot manage to sync my outlook contacts with iphone contacts and viceversa. It does work with the calendar so this seems very odd. I am a mac newbie. can please somebody help me?

The comment from Apple support was partially true. If you search the web you will find that Office 2011 (latest Mac version of Office) has never been able to sync with an iPhone. Older versions (maybe), and Windows versions possibly, but not the latest Mac version. MS changed the format of just about everything in Outlook 2011. It was MS that broke the iTunes ability to sync, not Apple.
So, even though Office 2011 works just fine on a Mac, you loose the ability to sync with your iPhone. Thank the folks in Redmond for this.

Got the same message. When syncing my iPad and iPhone. This is after the latest update to iTunes.

I have a bold 5 and a MacBook Pro. I am trying to sync my contacts, calander, notes and tasks, however it says 'sync services is currently turned off on this Mac. To synchronize your organizer data with your blackberry device, you or your system adminstrator must turn on Sync Services on this computer'
I have tried and serched for this, but i cant fix this. Please let me know how can i sync my data.

Do you use Mavericks? Apple switched SyncService off and forces people to use iCloud.

IPad sync - contacts with Computer

All my contacts are up to date on my Mac. I sync my iPhones through iTunes to the Computer, not iCloud, because I also use Outlook. It all works great. But when I connect my iPad I get a message asking if I want to resolve conflicts. The iPad addresses are outdated. Problem is it appears the iPad list will override the Computer data. I want it to go the other way. How do I fix this?

Had the same problem with 4 devices (two computers, an iPhone and an iPod). The solution is simple: open the Address Book application in your mac, ask it to locate duplicate entries (under one of the top menu items, "edit" I think), and then ask it to consolidate them: it took me all of three seconds after I figured it out: worked like a charm! PS: if you have more than one mac with unconected Address Books, repeating the operation in the second one may be a good idea.

Why i am unable to sync contacts with fb friends?

I used to had all my contacts synced with my fb friends... Photos and everthing but now only few are. I tried to restore iphone, facebook acount and manual sync i settings but norhing works. How can i do that or why it's not working?

are you sure that the contacts are not already there???
if they are already synced, it will only sync new information
try signing out of facebook restart the phone and sign back in

Since the release of Mavericks, syncing contacts with a Mac using iTunes is no longer supported. The currently supported method is to use iCloud. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running?

The button Info seem to be disappear.
Why?
Not every body love to sync via iCloud!
To sync via iTunes is very very usable.
On windows computer the button Info is stlll present.

How to sync contacts from computer to iPhone

I go to itunes, iphone device plugged into computer, see sync at bottom right of screen, but NO sign of a check box to check regarding syncing contacts.
Hope I can get definitive answer as to exactly how to sync contacts from computer to an iphone.

As you've noticed, since the release of Mavericks syncing contacts with a Mac using iTunes is no longer supported. Following is a link to troubleshooting information for iCloud contacts which may have something that will help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998

Nothing in my "Sync Contacts with" list

I recently noticed that my contacts were not being sync. On investigation,I see that my Sync Contact with list is empty and so is the Sync calendars list and also the sync e-mail account. I am sure it is something it have done as it was working until a few days ago. Any ideas anybody?

You have a few options available to you to make this easier. Depending on your desktop manager version and your computer's OS, you can import/sync contacts with the applications in this kb article: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14730
Google sync can also do the same, but it is not included in the list. You need a google account and have to download the google sync app.
