HT1296 Want apps from my itouch on my iphone
I have an itouch, with a lot of good apps. I want to sync them to my iphone, but it appears that it is not as easy as it should be. I can sync both devices to my PC, but I cannot get the apps from my itouch onto the iphone. I am using the same apple ID. This should be REALLY easy. I have always found iTunes to be terrible, and it continues to be that way. Is there any app can can easily copy my itouch apps to my iphone? Thank-you.
If you have synced the apps from the iPod touch to the computer and iTunes, once you connect the iPhone to iTunes, go to the Apps tab and make sure you have selected these apps to sync to the phone. They do not get selected automatically. You have to tell it what you want to sync, so long as they are supported by the iOS you have on the phone.

Because when I plug my itouch into itunes, and go to the "app" tab, i can't drag the apps onto the left side. So i was wondering if i would have to repurchase the apps that i've bought earlier for my itouch.
You can make the 'Apps' tab show up below 'Library' by going to: Preferences>General>Show (and then click the checkmark beside 'Apps').
No, you shouldn't have to re-purchase your apps. If you search "Add apps to iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad" in the iTunes Help menu it should come up with a step-by-step explanation of how to add the apps. You should be able to click on the name of your iPod Touch in the left-hand column (where it shows up when it is plugged in). After you click on it, you should be able to go to the 'apps' tab in the large center-to-right-hand area of iTunes, and click on it. Then you should be able to either click and drag the apps from the left-hand column (under the apps tab, in the center-to-right-hand side of iTunes) onto one of the little 'home screens' at the far right. If you don't want to drag each app individually, there should be an option (checkbox) that you could select which would allow you to sync all apps to your devise.

I originally set up my iTunes account on my computer at work, now that I have a home computer and authorized it, i have not been able to sync my apps from my iTouch to my home coumpter, it transferrred my music but nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

What can I do to get back to a point that I can directly purchase Apps from my itouch via wi-fi. I was able to before I purchased an app on my PC and loaded it into the device via the sync cable. My itouch 2G was bought 2nd hand, so when trying to get Apple support I was unable to register my device because I didn't know it's original purchase date. Note: I am still able to download the apps to my computer and load/sync them into the device.

The answer is yes. the extended ansewer is iCloud. iCloud allows the user of any product whether it is an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to download any purchased Movie, music and Apps (Including Data) between devices. Simply go to downloads and click on purchases and there should be all purchases you have made.

I have a problem with my itunes. I cannot transfer apps from the itunes to my iphone 4s. Any time I try to snyc itunes tells me "The iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iphone. To authorize this computer for items purchased from the itunes store, choose, Store > Authorize This Computer. But anytime I authorize it tells me you have authorized including this computer 2 out 5 computers. And if I try again the same story over and over again. But I have many apps on my itunes which I want to transfer. Please someone help me.

If you have, you do the same like syncing apps.

I am getting "an unknown error has occurred" when trying to download any free apps from my brand new 4S iPhone.
Please Help!!I had the exact same problem. Worked fine for a couple days then suddenly getting this error. I fixed it, however.
Do this:
Open the App Store app on your phone.
Go to the "Featured" section.
Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on your Apple ID.
Screen pops up. Choose "Sign out".
Scroll to the bottom of the "Featured" section again.
Sign back in.
Try your download again.

You might not have enough space on your phone.
Look on iTunes and see how much space the photos you copied over is consuming. -
Hi All,
I have had to reset my laptop to factory settings and reinstall iTunes. I backed up all my songs and apps and have now put all songs back in to iTunes. However, now i cannot drag songs or apps from my iTunes to my iPhone.
It only gives me the 'no entry' style icon when i drag it across rather than the 'plus' icon to add items to the iPhone.
Any ideas how to get round this or will i have to clear the phone and start again?

Syncing apps from one itouch to another
hello i am new to the ipod touch. i was wondering if i can synch apps from a friends ipod touch to mine and play them or do you need to buy the apps from itunes. If you can synch how do i do that.
It's not possible to sync direct from iPod touch to iPod touch (not iTouch).
There's a good reason for that - copying paid-for applications and games that are not yours is called software piracy and is illegal. Same as it is for music, movies and desktop programs.
