HT1296 We have a new computer, do I just sync my ipad and iphone to it to transfer data onto the new computer?
We have a new computer, do I just sync my ipad and iphone to the new computer to transfer my data onto it? My husband has some very complicated looking instructions for transferring his music on his ipod.
No. The ipad/iphone are not storage/backup devices. They simply mirror the selected content from the computer to which they are synced. If you sync to another computer, the current data will be erased and replaced with content from the new computer.
You copy everything form your old comuter, or your backiup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

I currently run the Design and Web Premium CS6 on a first generation MacBook Air and want to buy a new MacBook Pro. How do I know whether I can install my Adobe programs onto the new computer? Because I know there is some kind of limit.
Also, I had to install the software twice on my same computer before because I had to reboot the computer. I don't know if this affects the limit. You are allowed to have two activated installations so there should not be a problem having working installations on the two machines. If by chance you have somehow tied up two activations for the one machine you can have Adobe support help resolve that thru chat.
Serial number and activation chat support (non-CC)

I have synced my Ipad and Iphone and my Icloud storage is full now, I want to unsync them so I can use both of their Icloud storages separately, how can I do that?!!
Your iCloud storage is linked to your Apple ID, you can't unlink the devices unless you use separate Apple ID's for each device. That's not a good idea as you will have to pay for the same purchases twice on each device and you don't want to do that.
Backup with iTunes where the size of you backup is only limited by the a amount of available space that you have on your computer, buy more storage in iCloud, or .... and this makes no sense either but it is a possibility ... remove one of the devices from iCloud and backup one in iTunes. If you are going to backup with iTunes, backup both devices with iTunes and leave iCloud alone.
You don't need to backup with iCloud if you backup with iTunes and you can still download your past purchases without having to actually use iCloud for backups. -

Can i sync my iPad and iPhone without hooking it up to a computer
can i sync my ipad and iphone without hooking it up to a computer
That all depends on what you mean by sync. If you want to share iTunes content such as music, apps and videos, then yes, they both must be logged in to the same iTunes store account.
If you want to sync contacts, calendars, notes and reminders, again the answer is yes, you just need to sync them to the same iCould account.
For non-iTunes music there's iTunes Match.
To sync photos there' Photo Stream.
It there something else you want to sync that I have missed? -
I'm taking my ipod touch to apple to be replaced as it has battery faults. it's backed up but does that mean i can re-download all that data onto the new ipod? (app data etc.)???

I bought a new laptop how do I sync my ipad and get all the files synced to my old laptop
I bought a new laptop. Can I sync my ipad to it? And how do I get all the files that were synced to my old laptop?
Do you still have your old computer with your media (music, films, etc) on it so that you can copy them over from it ? If you do then there are a number of methods on this page for how you could copy it over from it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
If not, and if you don't have your content elsewhere (e.g. music that wasn't bought from iTunes), then there are some programs listed half-way down this page for how to copy content back from a device : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For iTunes downloads you should be able to copy them from your iPad via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases
Also see this page for syncing to a new computer : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
If you want to copy files/documents from the iPad then how you do so depends upon what app that they are in and what the app supports e.g. file sharing on the Apps tab in iTunes, transfer via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc -
Can i sync an ipad and iphone on the same computer
I've got an iPhone 3GS and am thinking of getting an iPad 2 as well. How does syncing the 2 devices on the same computer work? Also, can I share Apps that I have purchased across the 2 devices, or do you have to pay for them twice?
I am syncing my iPad and my iPod Touch using iTunes on the same computer.
It's even possible to connect both devices at the same time to iTunes.
Yes, apps are shared between devices, but only if those apps are actually able to run on both devices.
You therefore only need to buy a certain app once and use it on your two devices.
Your devices are in fact administratively attached to your Apple ID. -
i got a new laptop & now want to sync my ipad & iphone but keeps giving me a message saying ill loose things if i sync
You will need to connect both to your computer via your USB cord then launch iTunes. Take a look at this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386

I have a book that I can view on my iPad and iPhone but on my Mac I get an error.
I purchased the book on iBooks Mac and then downloaded it on my iPad and iPhone and have been reading the book (Words of Radiance-Brandon Sanderson) just fine. But when I try to download and open it on iBooks on my Macbook Pro it downloads and then when I open it I get the following error. "This book can't be opened. The original file can't be found." When I click okay the cloud symbol appears on the top right side.
I have tried to deauthorize and reauthorize, log out and back in, nothing changes the problem. Also just realized that this is not isolated to one book. Downloaded some free books from the iBookstore and had the same problem. I am going to rename and then re-install iBooks... Okay, osX does not allow the program to be removed. I really have no idea what to do here. Anyone who can help at all please chime in.

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

Since getting laptop repaired I have been trying to sync my iphone with the new hard drive but it will not allow me to do this without first wanting to wipe the phone clean and put info on the hard drive onto the phone, of course there is no info on the hard drive at all. Any help will be greatly recieved.

Is there anyway to save all my songs and put them back onto iTunes from my iPad?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
