HT1338 after upgrading to OS Mountain Lion my DVD studio pro will not compile. There doesn't seem to be any software update for DVDSP4.
after I upgraded to mounatin lion I tried to make a dvd with DVSP4 All goes well importing, connection chapters etc. Looks fine in simulate. When I try to make the DVD the measseage says compiler failed.
I went back into DVD SP and clicked on build.
After the build I was able to burn a disk.

Move your cursor down slowly to the right of the Gmail Mailbox and it should say show or hide.

I have an Epson scanner that is apparently no longer supported because it is a PowerPC app. It's a very good scanner that worked fine until I upgraded to OS Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro. Any suggestions on how I can continue to use it?

I upgraded from leopard to lion and my Epson printer will not work. I get a error message comunication error. What can Ido to fix this I bought a new USB cord and it did no good.
I suddenly had the same thing happen. I've had my new iMac for 3 months and at first my Epson Artisan 50 worked okay then yesterday I started getting the same error message other people on this support site have gotten. I tried ALL the advice given (deleating the Epson files from the library folder, etc. reinstalling older software) and nothing worked. With the newest iMac (and operating system) you cannot pick and choose which version of Epson software you want. You must use the 10.8 version or it simply will not open when you've downloaded it. Finally I found the comment above by den.thed and tried the OS X Mountain Lion: Reset the printing system suggested. As much as I hated to lose all my printing presets that took a lot of expiermentation to set up, I was desperate. I tried it and it worked. Now I just have to consult my old computer and try to recreate all my printing set ups. So to others with Epson / Apple 10.8 issues this may help when everything else fails. Thanks den.thed for your advice.

Mountain Lion purchased from Mac store will not download. 'Downloading' simply stays greyed out for hours. Nothing I do changes it. I am running OS 10.6.8 on a 2010 Mac Mini. What do I do now?
If you are looking at the front page of the App Store and you are seeing the "downloading" message on the right under Quick Links.
Try this... Go into the "Purchases" section in the top bar of the App Store find ML in the list you are presented with. Does it say Resume? If so click the button and it will change to Pause. You may have paused it previously and forgot.
If not then do as Csound1 suggested and simply wait for it to finish

Hello. I have just built a website using iWeb but cannot upload it. I curently have the 25gb account. There doesn't appear to be any facility here for the net. Am I correct in thinking I need an upgrade, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
iCloud does not provide website hosting. You will need to find another website hosting service - there are many to choose from - and upload your site there. How you do this depends on what version of iWeb you have.
In order to upload your existing site in iWeb '09 and above:
Click on the name of the site in the sidebar: the publishing settings pane will open. Set 'Publish to' to 'FTP'. Enter the name of the site and a contact address (if desired).
In the 'FTP Server Settings' section you will need to know the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. Your site will be published in a folder with its name at root level of the server, with an index.html file at root level (which will overwrite any index.html file which may be there already). The 'Directory/Path' field may need to include a path such as '/webspace/' or 'ht_docs/' - this is dependent on your hosting service and they should tell you this. If you want to publish within a folder you can add that to the path.
You can then click the 'Test connection' button so that iWeb can check that it can get access to your server space. You should enter the URL of the site in the 'URL' field so that rss feeds and internal links have the correct address.
To publish using an earlier version of iWeb:
From the File menu choose 'Publish to a folder'. You should create a folder somewhere convenient specifically for this and choose it when publishing to a folder: this folder should not contain anything else.
You now need an FTP program (FTP is the 'protocol' used for uploading) to upload the contents of the folder to your server.Cyberduck is free (donation requested): Transmit is $34 but I think better. You will need the server address (your hosting service can tell you that), and your username and password for that service. You can drag the contents of your folder to your webspace, or create a folder there and drag the contents to that if you prefer.
Some facilities that iWeb provided when hosted on MobileMe will not work on other servers: comments on weblogs and photos, password-protecting your site (some hosts may provide this), searching in the weblog, and a hits counter (again, some hosts can provide code for this). Slideshows in iWeb will work on other hosts than MobileMe (they use different code when FTPing which doesn't depend on scripts hosted on MobileMe as the MobileMe version does); however there is an issue with the 'buttons' which control the slideshow which are images hosted on me.com - these depend on images which used to be hosted on MobileMe. After upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion I cannot get icloud e-mails on Mail
After upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion I have not been able to receive e-mails from my icloud account. I can send email with both my acccounts (including icloud) and I can receive email with my alternative account. All my servers have been previously working with Lion. I guess this might have to do with the identification of my ingoing mail server that is currently set as “p-03-imap.mail.me.com”. Am I correct? and how can I change my ingoing mail specification to get Mail working? Please help me! Thank you!
I am having the same or a similar problem. When I open iCloud in system preferences and tick on Mail I get the message 'mail can't enabled at this time - Wait a moment and then try turning on Mail again'. I did this several times and it didn't work. I then completely turned off iCloud completely and restarted it, but I was still unable to access mail using iCloud (I was, however, able to access all of the other iCloud services). I then waited three days, to see if the issue would resolve its self, but it hasn't. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this would be appreciated.

USB- hub stopped working after upgrading to OSX Mountain lion
I have a macbook pro 13 inch, year 2011.
On my desk, I attach it to a thunderbolt display. To those USB-ports, I attached the belkin desktop USB hub (model F4U017) with 7 USB ports.
All worked fine and without a glitch untill I upgraded to OSX Moutain Lion.
Suddenly it won't connect annything I plug into it.
All the cables of the hubb still work fine, those have been tested.
When I tested the hub with a very old iMac (i think still with leopard it), it worked again.
To be sure, I also tested a 4-port hub without external power supply on moutain lion. That one still works fine.
How come my 7-port hub won't work any longer? How can I make it work?Not sure. Might be an issue with the USB drivers in mountain lion.
I've had an issue with a couple hubs not working after plugging back into my macbook pro while it's on.
Fixed by restarting my computer, but that's super annoying and takes me back to my Win 95 days. Never saw this issue before I upgraded to mountain lion. -
while downloading my free upgrade to Mountain Lion, my computer said "Error 403" occured and could not download the file. It gave me the option to retry and i pressed that button but the window continued to pop up telling me about the error so i pressed cancel and the entire download closed. I went back to try an redownload the fiel form itunes but it will not let me.
Do you mean App Store? I had the same error as you, but after a restart, it was there in my App Store under Purchases and I just downloaded it again.

Mountain Lion downloaded from App store on 11th and 12th June will not install. Downloaded TWICE it times out after 20 secs into install. Can't get any help!!! Going around in circles!!

Maybe Apple should have a ' definitely read me first' notice before a download takes place with CLEAR instructions to have more than the 6GB they indicate ofr the Mountain Lion download -
