When you use Migration Assitant it creates another user account and puts your files there. Please log out of your normal account and log into the new account. Had you use Setup Assistant when it asked if you were migrating that would not have occured. You have a couple of options, combine the two accounts (not recommended) or start over, use Setup Assistant and have everything in one user account. I seem to be having quite a challenging day!!
I can not seem to find my airplay icon on my ipad mini retina display running ios 7.1.1!!!
i have searched and nothing seems to help
have rebooted also
my ipad is running on the same wireless home network... can connect as adhoc...
but can NOT find airplay not by going to settings control panel neither by swiping up on home screen...
only have an airdrop icon there in the middle?!
any suggestions please?

yes there is and they are on same wifi network...
also tried trial version of Airserver and was actually doing that to purchase a full version of that only to find I do not even have Airplay, I wonder how?!

I purchased Photoshop Elements 12, downloaded the dmg version, and I cant find the icon on my Mac.

and double click on the
Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app
then to keep the ps 12 editor icon in the dock so you can start it from there, right click on the pse 12 icon in the dock and under Options, click Keep in Dock

I have the same issue. Yesterday I could connect to my wifi just fine, but today I turned on my wifi and the wheel just spins and spins. I restart my phone and I get the "greyed out" wifi switch. So I restart, and I'm back to square one. The wheel just keeps spinning.
I've updated the router firmware, I've power cycled everything multiple times, and still nothing.
Can anyone give a real solution? Or do we just have to suffer until apple update this **** IOS6?

Had one mac backed up with TC went to back another to same time capsule now can not find back up for original mac

Had my main mac computer in office for many weeks backed up with TC, all was fine. Earlier today went to back up my Mac Book to the same TC. All appeared to go fine. However went to original mac to see the back ups from the main mac. Said connection error could n ot connect. I can not find any of the original back ups?
I was told that it was a straight forward procedure to add another computer's backups?

On the main computer I try and enter the Time Machine and it is telling me that there is no Location for Time Machine Backups. It then tells me that I need to set time machine up again. I then select the time capsule and ask to use it for back up. It then goes on to tell me that "There was an error connecting to server. Check server name or IP Address, then try again.

This has to do with the mouse lag/freeze problem people have been having, by the way. Just about any 10 consecutive seconds that I use my mouse, it freezes then jumps a little ways away - which is seriously hampering my ability to finish this editing project.
It's been suggested this is a directory problem, which is why I'm looking for the boot disc. If anyone has any other advice on this, I'm all ears.
I've already changed out the hardware and run disk permissions, etc., to no avail.

When I first installed Firefox 3.6.13 on my new Windows 7 64bit machine, it was fine. Then I noticed that the Firefox logo icon was blank (you know just the square box that windows uses when it can't find something).

You can try to reset the Windows icon cache.
* Open the Task Manager (Shift+Ctrl+ESC)
* In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.
* Open the file picker via "File > New Task (Run)" and click the Browse button.
* Type or Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local in the File name field (AppData is a hidden folder).
* Select the file IconCache.db and use Delete in the right-click context menu to delete the file.
* After the IconCache.db has been deleted, start a new explorer.exe process via "File > New Task" to get the desktop and Taskbar back.
* It is possible that the file IconCache.db is a hidden file and in that case you need to enable viewing hidden files. You can verify that you can see the file before doing the above mentioned steps.

Since I run Snow Leopard I do not know what this maps into in the xcode 4 developer tools. So do a search for the Processor.prefPane (assuming you installed xcode 4.x of course). You may have to use Find Any File since I think allof xcode is buried in the xcode bundle.

I can't find After Effects CC on Mac Pro

On my Apps list is says that After Effects CC is up-to-date, but I've searched the Mac and can only find a older version of After Effects CS5. I've also tried to uninstall the App but it cannot find it. Any Ideas?
