It refers to your RAM. Open  > About this Mac > More Info and copy Model Identifier

    Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

  • When I go to capture, FCE shuts down with no error message

    I upgraded to FCE on both my Macs. One Mac powerbook G4 works fine in capture and writing to video. The other powerbook will shut the program down unexpectedly without error message. I use the same camera for both computers. Can someone help me figure this out.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

    it turned out that the "acrobat_com" that I was trying to update, was so
    outdated that adobe was no longer supporting it, there fore I got the
    error message when I tried to do the "mandatory" update.  It had to be
    uninstalled, and then the new one installed from the Adobe web site.

    Can you try to download the latest AIR runtime from http://get.adobe.com/air/ ? Make sure all applications are closed when you run the installer.

    The last update was 9.0.3 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Photoshop Elements
    The last supported Camera raw is ACR 6.5 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw

    This is what I found: printer eventually wants to see color ink after running months without.  Steps I followed were: remove ink cartridges. Remove printer head (raise handle at left) and clean (slosh bottom) in hot water, (did it 3 times) and wipe clean.  Replace with new/full color ink cartridges and black if it's got ink still. Run clean printer head program from panel continuously until you start seeing good solid ink flowing on test paper, may even run alignment program at this point.  Turn off printer, if you get Load paper error, hit OK, allow alignment to run, and if heads have been previously cleaned satisfactorily (all colors show up), alignment will show success, and the next time you start printer, no more load paper error.  Point being, the printer eventually wants to see or will look for color ink and in particular, cyan necessary for the alignment page, and without this the program will aparently project a load paper error and alignment failure.  (which you can get aroung by keep hitting OK and cancelling the alignment)!  This totally cured by problem of load paper and alignment failure.  Good luck and be patient, it may take some time to effective clean, I went through all color ink and will have to purchase more !

  • Why does most of CS6 shut down with an error message?

    I bought CS6 last week and loaded it on to my computer. When I went to use it yesterday the majority of the programs didnt work. Photoshop is opening but illustrator and indesign dont. When I open indesign it opens, gets to the bit where you choose to open a previous document or start a new one then just shuts down and an error message pops up saying indesign had to close suddenly. Im in so deep over my head with all of this. Also im on a mac computer. if that helps. Does anyone have anything that can help me?

    You need to be much more specific. What Mac? What version of OSX? Where are your files stored? This could be anything from permissions issues to severe configuration issues somewhere....

    Boot from the Leopard DVD (I assume you are installing Leopard since you've posted in the Leopard forum.) After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. After the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the left side list then click on the Partition tab. Select one partition from the drop down Partition menu, set the format type to Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) from the Format drop down menu. Click on the Options button and be sure the partition map is set to GUID (GPT) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button. After the partitioning has been completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with installing OS X.
    If you choose to install Tiger follow the same procedure as above except boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer (assuming that is Tiger.)
