I have tried many times downloading this update and installing getting the same result. I ran disk utility and checked for errors. Disk has no errors.

Similar experience here but finally succeeded! Here's the summary
Decided to (finally) update MacBook from SL 10.6.8 to Lion (it can't run ML or Mavericks) so this week purchased from UK Apple store. Received redemption code from Apple via email after couple of days and successfully redeemed this in Apps Store.
Under Purchases in Apps Store clicked on "download" and nothing happened! Clicking on the app name "OS X Lion" gave the message "The item you've requested is not currently available in the UK Store". Contacted support but got no useful help there.....
Following day went back to Apps Store and tried again clicking Download - still nothing (apparently - see below) so started thinking upgrade unlikely and £14 wasted.
A little later noticed new icon in Dock and investigating it said downloading Lion - checked Activity Monitor and indeed my internet connection was being hammered. At a little over 4Gb got an error message saying download could not complete (needless to say not happy) and download icon disappeared!!
So with nothing to lose reclicked Download in Apps Store and again no obvious activity and this time no new download icon in Dock - decided to check Activity Monitor again (just in case) and again high level of download activity! Maybe, just maybe, I thought and after about 90 minutes the Lion install screen appeared!
Have now backed up the Installer and successfully installed 10.7.4
I can't offer any explanation why it finally worked - Apps Store still shows "Download" not "Installed" as I would expect and the item is "..still not available.."! -
I am unable to delete my photos which are synced through computer..i have upgraded to ios 7 and im using iphone 5...i tried doing it by using itunes but i cant see any photos at all...help requested
If you didn't already do so, try uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components (not just iTunes and AMDS), then reinstall iTunes, as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925. Follow the article and uninstall them in the order indicated.

I am using windows Vista and having this problem also (not exactly, but iTunes gives pop-up that "files are in use"). Acting a suggestion from another answer in this thread, I clicked on Computer and selected eject...windows did warn me that the device was in use, but also gave me a CONTINUE button, which I clicked and it was ejected...had to go back to iTunes and eject the iPod there also, but it did eject

Why can't you use Lightroom?

I have an Iphone 3G with the software 4.2.1 but i need to update the software to 4.1 to download a particular app before i go away tomorrow but i cant update the software till the 13/10/12 which is annoying just wondering if there was an options available for me to push the update to now so i can use this app before i go away

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -

I'm trying to log in with my apple ID to activate facetime, but it always say no connection, any ideas???
My apple ID works with everything else except facetime....i m on ipad 2, 4.3.2 i version/ I cannot login to face time doesn't log me in. some time it says it is network issue some time it says email / password in not correct.
everything else is fine. i can use ipad2 to login to itunes. and other channels but not face time.

Why is my old apple id being used when I try to update on app store?
My original apple id was an old email account which I didn't often use and because of my lack of usage the email address expired without me knowing, so I changed my apple id and password etc in "manage my account" and when purchasing new app's all is fine, I'm able to purchase and log in using my new email addy, however when I'm prompted I have updates waiting and I press update, my old apple id (email addy) is brought up which I can no longer access as the email verification is going to the old email addy which no longer exsists!
My Iphone and Ipad all show apple id as new email etc the problem only arises when I try updating.
Please help this is driving me insane and my updates are stuck!

When you say you "changed my apple id", does that mean you renamed it to your new email address?

That is what you want to do so you still only have one Apple ID and it now has the new name and email.
It sounds like you may have created a new Apple ID instead and started purchasing stuff with that. Just because an old email address expires, doesn't mean the Apple ID it is based on goes away. Apple IDs can't be deleted. The only way for them to change is to rename them to a new "ID" (name/email).
It is best to stay with only one Apple ID for purchases. As you are seeing, Apps need to be updated with the ID they were purchased with. If you don't have many purchases with your new Apple ID, you might want to rename it to something else so you can rename your old ID to this new name (email). Then stick with your old, but renamed ID.
You don't remember the password for your old Apple ID? Can you access your old Apple ID using the security questions instead of the email verification?

"itunes could not connect to the ipod becasue it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcose on the ipod before it can be used" BUT i cant unlock it and i dont have the original itunes that is was hooked up with before either. HELP! It wont let me restore because it is locked. I cannot unlock it. I have tried everything online. nothing works.

HT5621 changed apple id but now cant update apps

I recently changed my apple id as previously it was an old obselete email address. I have now changed it to my new email address.
I now see on my iphone that I have updates for apps waitng to download and when I click "update all" a pop up box with my old apple id appears and asked me to enter the password. I thne tried to enter the password but get an error message saying the id or password is incorrect.
As a result I cant update my apps. What should I do?

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID
