How do I get an updated version of Java?
This was the last Java update for Leopard:
Update 10, 29 June 2011 - This release updates J2SE 5.0 to 1.5.0_30, and updates Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_26. J2SE 1.4.2 is no longer being updated to fix bugs or security issues and remains disabled by default in this update. Support for out-of-process Java applets on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard has been removed with this update.
This release is only for Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later versions of Mac OS X 10.5. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1359
There will not be any more as Leopard is no longer supported by Apple.

I am using Windows 7 premium 64-bit. I have uninstalled Java completely through Windows program manager. There is no Java in my list of plugins. Every time I update my plugins I get the following message - "Missing JAVA? For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version." if so, you can probably safely dismiss this warning since it's likely a mistake. when java isn't present, the site will give that warning message though a webpage cannot detect if this because of java being blocked or if it isn't even installed on the system. -

What exactly do I need to do?That means you were probably using Adobe Acrobat to view PDF's. Acrobat is totally unnessary, you can view PDF's in Preview (Applications - Preview).

I have a mac, In"Design CS 5.5, a design gave me a file said it was CS 6, does not open in CS 5.5..Message says "Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign." I think I need to buy upgrade from 5.5 to 6. I found one on NextTechDirect for $150 to download. they are not a scam according to "scamadvisor.com."
When I drag the InDesign file that that was supplied by another designer who said it was CS 6 onto my desktop it says CS 5.5. Is that because I only have CS 5.5?

Adobe InDesign CS6 Upgrade from CS5.5 WIN/MAC [Download] from Next tech....it is obviosly higher on the adobe site and alot of other places?No one is likely to recommend where you buy your software from other than Adobe in these forums... not so much because of support for Adobe, but mostly because of lack of support/knowledge of any third party vendors. I only know from experience that when you invest in bargain pricing you usually get what you pay for.

Terrible performance since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox.
Since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, have been experiencing terrible performance. I have websites load time increase of even hesitate in loading. Also I keep getting the error that my Adobe Flash is not current, even after re-installing the Adobe Flash several times.
Laptop configuration:
Lenovo Thinkpad E530 core i5 processor with 8 GB Ram running on Windows 8.1 Pro.
I am seriously considering dumping Firefox which I have been using since 2.x and going back to MS Explorer which I hate. Any help with these performance issues would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox but on the Firefox start page it still says "you are not on the latest version of Firefox, upgrade now". The start page looks different so maybe it did upgrade but why does the reminder still show?

Where did Google Earth go when I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox?
I clicked the popup that upgraded to the latest version of Firefox - and clicked to give it permission to make changes to my computer - and my Google Earth was no longer there. I restored my computer to before I had made the Firefox changes and my Google Earth was there but I got a blank page when I tried to open Firefox. Then I re-downloaded Firefox and Google Earth is gone. I would like to have both. If I have to do without one I would give up Firefox and use Internet Explorer until the problem gets fixed.

I doubt it is a Norton Security problem. Maybe. I solved it by deleting the account and re-installing it. -
When I go to Yahoo mail it tells me I should upgrade to the latest version of Safari. When I go to apple to do the upgrade it says I am using the latest version.
What am I missing here?You can avoid using web based email for Yahoo.

Cannot expand my touch screen since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox.

We are using Oracle ERP in our company which is a web based ERP system. I am using firefox to work in ERP for convinieince pf working and using internet at the same time. This requires a plugin provided by oracle oajinit.exe to be installed in Plugins it is a JAVA plugin which opens the ERP Screens. This works fine in versions prior to 3.6 version of firefox. However, after upgrading to 3.6 version the forms do not open and firefox crashes. Due to this i am not able to upgrade to the latest version else i'll have to operate the ERP in internet explorer and using firefox for browsing which i do not want. The plugin used for the ERP is "* JInitiator 1.3.1.18 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)"
Firefox 3.6 needs the Java Second Generation Plugin which comes with newer versions than 1.6.0_03 - update Java, the latest version is 1.6.0_22

Upgrading to the latest version of Firefox would cost me about $2,500 so why am I mad?
I have a Mac G5 with OS 11.4.11. In order for me to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox I would have to install a new system. If I install a new system I have to install all new programs. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive and other CS programs, plus PowerPoint, QuarkXpress , and many others. I can't afford to upgrade. I really like Firefox but what am I suppose to do?
