On the iPhone, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>, and make sure that under Automatic Downloads you have the items you would want to automatically download checked.

How can i get a failed down load to re-try?

You can add a table that provide a list of items (that are in the pop up menu) and a corresponding value (shown on the right):
In the table on the left you can refer to the table "Price List" to locate the item in column A, then retrieve the corresponding value from column B.
B2=VLOOKUP(A2,Price List::A:B,2,0)
this is shorthand for... select cell B1, then type (or copy and paste from here) the formula:
=VLOOKUP(A2,Price List::A:B,2,0)
select cell B2, copy
now select column B, then unselect cell B1, by holding the command key and clicking cell B1
paste
change the pop-up menus in column A as needed.

I can not get Java applets to run on my MAC

I am running OSX 10.9.1, Safari Mountain Lion 7.0.1 and have Java 7u51 and can not figure out how to get applets to run. I am taking classes for work and they all use applets. Any ideas how to enable applets? Blogs have recommended using java preferences but I can't find that on my computer.

since you’ve installed Java 7u51, you should have a Java pane in System Preferences. When you select it, a Java Control Panel window will appear. In the Security tab of that window, you might need to set your security level down to Medium and/or add the applet site to the Exception Site List to be able to run your applets.

Make sure you have the latest iTunes version installed and hopefully you have the most recent backup of your iPhone. Do a DFU restore. While it's plugged in to your computer, press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together until the screen is off. When the screen's off, release only the Sleep/Wake button and keep holding down the Home button. Wait until you see in iTunes on your computer to show that it detected it in recovery mode. When it does, proceed with the restore. It will be restored and updated to the latest iOS 7.0.2. If you have a backup, restore from that backup once iOS 7.0.2 is successfully installed on your iPhone.
If your iPhone still won't activate, I agree with gail, you will have to get in touch with that developer.

Sorted... When screensharing two devices (in this case a Macbook pro and iMac) the following appears to be true:
It isn't possible to view movies/videos on either of the devices that are screensharing;
Neither device as a result, even if a window is not up with the media being shown to the other device will show media (movie or music video).
