Hello Ollie UK Mac,
You can add your account via Calendar's Preferences, in the Accounts pane.

  • HT2513 how do I get the mini calendar flap on iCal 5.0.3

how do I get the mini calendar flap on iCal 5.0.3. Lion 10.7.5

I finally did get the issues resolved by going here: http://blogs.adobe.com/cssdk/2011/10/fix-for-extension-signature-bug-on-mac-os-10-7.html and using that fix.
It took several tires but I finally got it to work correctly.
I tried using the update I downloaded from the Adobe updates page and that was what giving the error in my original post. Also, if I tried using the "get Updates" directly out of Extensions Manager, because i have several version of CS running on my workstation, it would invariably either tell me there were no updates or get the wrong version of the update. (The version I was looking to update was 5.0.289)
The botom line being, I did finally get the Extensions Manager working correctly.
    Appreciate your response though. Thanks.

  • How can I import my Google calendar to iCloud calendar via web or ios?

I've decided I want to move from contacts/calendar in gmail to icloud. I was going to do the same with mail, but it seems iCloud doesn't have the level of functionality that gmail does.
My problem is that all instructions for importing my gmail calendar into icloud require some sort of desktop (I use PC) mail/calendar program. I don't use one. I manage my mail & calendars purely on my iphone or on the website(s). How can I import my .ics file into iCloud calendar via either the iCloud web interface or via my iPhone?

The only possible way I could imagine it might work ( can't guarantee it ) is as followed.
#1 Your Google Calendar is synced with your iphoen and you go into settings to turn it off.
#2 It will ask you: "What would you like to do with excisting local calendars on your iphone", you click keep them on iphone.
#3 Now you sync your empty icloud calendar with your iphone and hopefully the local calendar would sync on your icloud calendar?
Might work...not sure, play around with the settings in the iphone calendar app etc...

  • How can I import an ics calendar file to my iPAd2

I want to import my Windows calendar into my iPad2. I've tried using the ics file which is mentioned in the manual but no joy. What can I do?

I have done extensive research and it appears that this can't be done.  A couple of people said you can email your .ics file to the iOS device, click on the file and you will be prompted to add the events to the calendar.  But this process failed for me, and when I tried it a second time, I didn't get the "add all" option any more.  I'm guessing the 4000 or so events were too much for the phone's processing and syncing capabilities.  Anyway, Apple's failure to support a basic function like .ics import on Windows means that I won't be using iCloud anytime soon.  It's too bad, because I would appreciate the ability to set a reminder on the desktop and have it work on the phone, which I can't do with my Gmail calendar.

If you think about it logically if you want to move something from one place to another well do just exactly that
Drag & Drop its as simple as that click on the file/folder keep it pressed down & move the file/folder to where you want it on your Mac
If its photo's drag them onto the iPhoto icon on the dock if its music drag it onto the iTunes icon documents into guess what documents
    Hope this helps

  • How do i import old hotmail folders?

    Hi
I have a new account set up in mail which i want to use as my main account because the junk mail in hotmail drove me mad. problem is that i still want to have access to all my old emails. i have tried to find out how to import my emails from my folders and inbox and know that i think i need to get them in mbox format. is this correct? and if so how do i do it from within hotmail?
    Thank you

The emails that i want to import are in my web-based hotmail account and include emails that i have archived in folders internal to hotmail and that i can only access through hotmail. there are several hundred emails so i really would prefer not to have to forward each one individually to my new email address! the info i have found on the web so far indicates that it should be possible but it doesn'y say exactly how and just mentions mboxes a lot...
If you can help I would be immensly grateful

  • How do you query the Hotmail Calendar with a freebusy URL to get an XML response ?

    Hello,
I've posted this on the Exchange Server Legacy thread, but they point me back here....
Assuming that Outlook's (Hotmail's) Calendar service still supports XML FreeBusy requests, what am I doing wrong here ?
I'm sending this GET request to obtain an XML return that I can then further process:
    GET / HTTP/1.1
owa/public/?cmd=freebusy&start=2014-12-04T14: 00:00+01:00&end=2014-12-08T16:00:00+01:00&interval=30&u=SMTP:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
    Translate: t User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.2; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
    Content-Type: text/xml
    Host:
    www.calendar.live.com
    (Translate: t comes from http://www.infinitec.de/post/2004/12/31/Retrieving-a-users-availability-(freebusy-data).aspx)
(User-Agent seems needed in order to get an XML response)
It keeps giving me "400 - BAD REQUEST".
What is the correct syntax for this  ?

    Hi,
From your description, I would like to clarify the following things:
    1. If you use an Exchange account, you can use an OWA command to retrieve Free/busy information for a particular user.
    2. In your case, you use an Hotmail account. Actually, we have a dedicated support team regarding the Microsoft Outlook.com . I recommend you ask your question on our Microsoft Outlook.com forum which is staffed by more experts specializing in this kind
of problems. Your understanding will be appreciated.

  • HT1338 how do i import photos from camera or memory stick?

How do i best imort photos from memory stick?

Plug your USB flash drive into your USB port. Your device will appear in the Finder with your images. If your camera takes an SD card, you can insert the SD card into the SDSX slot of your Macmini. In iPhoto, under preferences, you can choose to have the application automatically import images, if you desire.

  • Hello, how can I import pictures from my Macbook Pro to my iMac?

I have stored my holiday pictures on my Macbook Pro and I want to transfer/copy them to my iMac. I have a local network (via Apple hardware) and I have marked the photo library on the Macbook Pro as "Shared". So I should be able to transfer pictures from this lobrary to my iMaclibrary. Sharing pictures amongst different Apple computers seems to be difficult. Even burning pictures on a CD-rom is not that easy it should be. But that's another question. You should find the possibility to burn pictures on a cd direct from iPhoto but the function is simly not there. Yes you can share them by e-mail, Facebook,...but sometimes you just want to have some transfers between your own computers...

You can use the paid version of  iPhoto Library Manager  to copy selected Events from your MBP library into the library on your iMac while keeping all metadata, locations, faces, etc.
If you want to import ALL photos in your MBP library into your iMac library that are not already in the iMac library (without keywords, metadata, etc.) you can use   SyncPhotos.
    Here's how it works:
    1 - it compares the databases and/or album.xml files of Libraries A and B.
2 - the files in A that are not in B are imported into B by copying the original files from A into B's Import folder.
3 - it then does the same for B.
4 - metadata is not copied.
It can be used to just copy from A to B and not sync both ways if desired. It will work with 2 libraries that are different versions, i.e. between an iPhoto 08 and iPhoto 09 library.
