  • How to make plug ins show up in the filter menu, several Topaz plug ins are in the 13 plug in folder?

How to make plug ins show up in the filter drop down menu, when several Topaz plug ins have been moved from Elements 11 to the plug in folder for Elements 13?

Thank you for your advice. I followed your directions, but came up with the same results. However, I did discover that whenever I open up the iPhoto Library that is already existing on my MacBook a certain set of pictures shows up. But then when I open up the iPhoto Library from the Hard drive another set of pictures shows up. BUT not ALL of my pictures are showing up on the iPhoto Library from the hard drive. At least the last two years of pictures are not showing up?! Actually, it appears that all the pictures are there from when I started using iPhoto about 5 years ago up until around the time that I got my iMac desktop computer and started using that (2 years ago). I have noticed that more recent videos I have made are showing up in a folder on the hard drive, but will not appear when I open up iMovie?! Any ideas on how to access my pictures from the last 2 years off of the hard drive???

  • Can someone inform me how to upgrade plug-ins ?

Because I tried to open a file, and got the message to upgrade the plug-ins...
I do not know how... so I hope you are able to help me...

Yes. If a file is saved in InDesign, no OLDER version of InDesign can open it. There is a special way to export a portable file if you want to try and recover a file in an older version, though results may not be perfect (especially if new features were used).

  • How to manage plug-ins in Mail

At some point, I have installed an application (Antidote) which help to correct a french text. When I start my computer I have a message from Mail saying "Incompatible Plug-in disabled, Antidote - PJ". Mail won't start until I click on OK to acknowledge the message. I don't know how to manage the plug-ins in Mail (or any application).
I tried to completely remove the Antidote application but I still have the same message when I restart or start my computer. I have installed Yosemite but that didn't make a diference. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • How to detect plug-ins path for Photoshop CC?

    Hi
I downloaded new CC SDK but unfortunatelly in html doc there is not info how to detect a plug-in path for new Photoshop CC. Pdf doc also contains very old info (still for Photoshop 5.0)
    - Could you advice how my installers can detect new Photoshop CC and detect a target place for plug-in installation? Forboth  win and Mac cases.
    - Is CC a pure 64bit windows app or it also can be presented into both C:\Program files and C:\Program files(x86) folders?
    Thanks
    Maxim

    Thank, Bartek, for your responce
I checked this approach for CS4. In my winRegistry there is not {06870682-6f3c-4b97-9143-f03e85c0 bd3e} key. Should it work only for CC?
Previously, I checked "HKLM\Software\Adobe\Photohsop" and found all presented PSD versions, like #12 for CS5, #55 for CS5.5 #60 for CS6. And Wow6432Node accordingly
Will this approach work if I will search for CC the key like "HKLM\Software\Adobe\Photohsop\80\PluginPath" ? (if I had PSD CC I could check it but I dont wan to install it yet for dont break my currect working environment)
Also, could you advise what it default installation path for Mac? Some like "/Applications/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC" ? Will CC have same plug-ins subfolder like previously versions?
    Best regards
    Maxim
PS. Ilya, it means what I should check bot 32 and 64 bit windows versions and for CC also? 32bit windows version of CC is still available? wot is <version> key for CC? 80? CC? Do you know what is default installation path for CC on Mac?

  • 10.4, How to stop plug-ins update reminder, Windows fix does not work on Mac.

Need to get rid of bar across top saying plug-ins are not up-to-date. The "fix" posted for Windows does not work on my Mac. When I try for updates, none seem to install. How do I really find out if the ones I have are the latest available for my system? Everything seems to work OK as is. Could it be that my Mac is PPC and that there are plug-in updates that would work in 10.4 on Intel but not on PPC, and that FireFox cannot differentiate?

Setting the Boolean pref <b>plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin</b> to <i>true</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page should hide that info bar.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access the about:config page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at the top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean) or by double-clicking the line with the pref
*Preferences can be created via the right-click context menu: New -> String, Integer, Boolean
Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and a Mac with an Intel processor.

  • How to install plug ins?!?

haha well i got some plug ins and I took a stab at installing them but I can't seem to find them in Logic so I must have them in the wrong folder. I have logic pro 8 btw. Thanks for the help!

    1. Logic works with AU plugins, VST won't work.
    2. AU plugins all have the suffix .component. Not all files with the suffix .component are AU plugins though.
    3. ONLY when the .component file is in *Library/Audio/Plug Ins/Components* or in the *Users/'you'/Library/Audio/Plug Ins/Components* folder it can be picked up by Logic.
    4. If it is there but Logic doesn't pick it up, it probably means that the Plug In is incompatible (like the free TC Electronic M30 reverb on PPC), or broken.
    5. Most plugins come with an installer that puts it in the right location. If you just have a .component file, just copydrag it to either of the above mentioned Plug In folders.
    regards, Erik.

  • How to get plug-ins for education site

Im am taking an online course through my local tech college and the plug-ins are not working. When I follow the link to download them, I get a message that no suitable plug-ins are available. I am beginning to regret buying this mac.

I wouldn't worry about Java at this point.  Sounds like what you need is Flash.  As I mentioned earlier, you want to just go straight to Adobe's web site (www.adobe.com), rather than following any links on some other site to download Flash.  Once there, click Downloads:
Then click the button for Adobe Flash Player:
Open the file that downloads and run the installer it contains.
