Do you have one of those newer Macs which require a special update? From other posts, it seems there are now three different OS versions/updates - each one of specific Macs.
I'd call Apple and give them your serial number as well as - important - your build number (click on the Apple and About this Mac; under Mac OS X, click on the numbers until you get to build .......)

Does killing the AppStore app stops automatic app updates?
I stopped the AppStore app on my iPhone, removed it from the recents list and haven't opened it for a while. During this time, no app updates came in. Then yesterday I opened up AppStore again and it found 37 updates. I thought that stopping and removing the app from the recent apps list does not interfere the updates from coming, am I wrong?
It is not necessary to have the App Store open for updates. It appears this is an anomaly on your phone. You can try to just power the phone off/on and see if that helps. Your last step might be to perform a reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will make the phone reboot. The only way to tell then if it makes any difference is if you receive an app update.

I have a first generation MacBook Air that has been refurbished via the Apple store. I installed Snow Leopard about a year ago and now, my computer wont update! It will download the updates restart my computer, but then I get an error message and the computer wont restart!
What is a error message and what do you see when it appears?
Haven't much problem with Airs around here, since they have a SSD they tend to be more reliable.
Perhaps it was a bad update, have you ran through this list of possible fixes?
Do as many as possible, starting with #1. Until the problem is resolved.
Use the boot 10.6 USB instead of the disk of course.

I have updated iOS 6 in my iPhone 4S and it went perfectly fine. Just after that when I opened the message app I found that the sms body of system generated messages was not visible after tapping on them.

When updating itunes I get the message the install package can't find a file (itunes.msi) I've searched but can't find this file. How do I install it?
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Also when I try to sink my mini with my iTunes account it says you cannot sync because the sync session failed to start.
It sounds like to me you're trying to sync using the computer.
Try these things and see if it helps before you try your next syncing session. If none of the things below work then you might consider trying to sync using iCloud only.
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

I have been able to update other versions of Firefox, but not Firefox 6The current version of Jing requires an Intel processor running OS X 10.5.8 or later. The message you're receiving is because the iBook uses the PowerPC platform and not Intel. The last release of Jing that will run on your system is version 2.3, which they no longer support and it doesn't auto update.

AppStore will not update / and after trashing the old app, will not install the updated one
I have authorized my new Macbook Pro using iTunes, but when I go to the App Store, it does not successfully update the earlier apps that I have installed. So I deleted 2 apps and tried to install them afresh from App Store, but it gives me the following error: "We could not complete your request. Please try again later. (100)" - The failed updates also gave me the same error message except the number in parenthesis was (13). I have had this problem for over a month, so this is clearly not a server down time kind of issue. Appreciate any assistance on this. Thanks.

I reinstalled iPhoto but events did not update
I reinstalled iPhoto because I didn't like the photos app. When I did, the events did not update--the last one was April 12. I downloaded my photo stream, thinking that that would get me my most current events, but I just have a mess of photos. How can I get events to recognize everything after April 12?
Details needed
1 - what exactly did you do? There is no need to reinstall iPhoto as it is no removed by the OS upgrade - you just launch it form the LaunchPad or the application s folder and use it as before
2 - what updates did you expect? If you have imported photos into the Photos application then iPhoto knows nothing about them - you have to import them to iPhoto too
3 - Nothing has changed with PhotoStream what exactly are you seeing?

It's a credit card, not a debit card ? As far as I know that message will show if you are trying to use a card that was not issued by a bank in the same country as where your iTunes account is based (and you need to be in that country). After update to new Pages 5 I now have 2 Pages Apps how to uninstall the old one?
I have Mavericks, went to see what Apps were on the list to update, and amonst those were iLife and iWork apps that I already had. I updated everything on the list. I had a folder with the latest iWork apps in my Apps section that are still there, however, Ihave Brand new iWork Apps showing up separately in the Finder/Apps area. I wish to either uninstall or remove the old version and am not sure whether to use on of my Apps like App Delete to remove the old one, or click on to the old one, and just delete the old app. Thanks for Advice on this. I believe thousands , if not millions of people must have the same question.
