HT1338 I have Microsoft for Mac 2011 on my OSX Lion. I want to take advantage of Word Art and be able to flip text to print on fabric. Can't seem to find how to do this... Help, please!
I need to make t shirts for a family reunion. I cannot reverse the text (so the letter will print on a T shirt correctly). I have tried everything including u-tube videos. I could swear I have seen graphics (such as various banners on Word Art as shown on u tube videos) on one of my toolbars but cannot locate them now (would like to use them also).
Is anyone familiar with Microsoft for Mac 2011? I also have an HP Photosmart printer that should be able to reverse print but that too is defeating me but I don't give up...

For any object (photo, WordArt, etc.), right click on the object and choose Format Shape. Choose 3-D Rotation in the left column. In the X field, type 180 and press tab. Click OK to accept the change. Here, I reversed some WordArt text.

I wish to set up an alias address on my iPad. My iCloud address has already been established and I can find no way to get into my account to add any alias.
You can create up to 3 alias addresses but you have to do this on icloud.com from your computer browser. This article explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622. Also, incoming email to an alias address will go to your current iCloud inbox so it really isn't a separate account; just a different email address for the same account.
Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud email account. If you really want to set up another, you would need to add a secondary iCloud account by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud, then entering a different Apple ID to create the account. You can then turn on Mail to create the new account. Mail in secondary accounts, however, is fetch email, not push (which is only supported in the primary account). -
I reset my phone and it now receives calls that were meant for my husband. I know how to fix this with messaging and facetime, but can't seem to find how to make it stop with the calls. Please help.

Try to install Microsoft for Mac 2011 14.4.5 update on macbook air (mid 2013 unit). Says must shout down Microsoft Database Daemon and SynchServices Agent. there seems to be no way to do that. Please advise how to shut down so install can commence.

Why can't I open a PDF document in Word. I have Microsoft Office:Mac 2011 installed because I have to email PDF and word documents to my clients. Please help.
I currently have been viewing them in Preview. Is that the only way?Word is a text processor, not a PDF viewer. You can embed a PDF document in a Word document, but that's pretty much it. Besides Preview there are numerous third-party applications that can also view PDFs such as Adobe Reader.

SInce you seem to be asking everybody, I don't recommend any particular one over the other. I have both installed on this computer along with VirusBarrier X5 and MacScan. I don't currently use any of them routinely, but they are here if I should ever need them. Real-time scanning is turned off, but I keep all but VB up-to-date (my VB subscription expired a few years ago).

I have Office for Mac 2011 on my Mac desktop. Is there a way to transfer it to my new MBA via my network? If not is there any way to load Office into my MBA short of buying an external DVD player?
I recently purchased a MacBook Air and set up the machine using Setup Assistant cloning it from my iMac via wifi. Whilst it took a very long time, eventually it worked.
The set up option included all programmes. When I opened up MS Word on the Air, I was asked to enter my original product key. Once I had done this all other MS Office programmes worked fine.
I believe the license allows you to install and run on a desktop and a laptop but not be using them at the same time.

You can’t open the application “MFI_Simulator.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. Can someone assist. I have Office 2011 on my MacBook Pro, OS X, 10.9.1.
Your Office 2011, though a Microsoft product, is designed to work with OSX the Mac operating system. Any program/application ending .exe is an executable program for Windows. It will only work in Windows and is not part of or openable with Microsoft Office.
the application you want to open needs Windows - you have a couple of alternatives:
Open it on a Windows PC
Install a valid version of Windows via Bootcamp (or Parallels or VM Fusion) which will allow you to boot your Mac into Windows where it will function like a Windows PC and you can use it to run the application.
See if the manufacturers of MFI_Simulator have a Mac version available.
Please note that if you follow the second option, then you will need to purchase a copy of Windows (if you do not have one already). BootCamp is free (part of OSX) but Parallels and VM Fusion cost too. I see quite a few posts from people who buy Parallels and try to run the program under Parallels - this doesn't work - you need to install Windows as well.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

My needs are fairly simple. Since I access the game via facebook, I just need the ability to have 4 facebook profiles open at the same time. Do you have an application or add on that makes this possible?
One method might be to use Prism [http://prism.mozillalabs.com/], which will open a new instance of Firefox each time the Prism program is invoked. However, these will be separate programs running (potentially with lots of memory usage), so you will not have tabs but will have to use switch between them using mouse or ALT + TAB.
