HT1338 I'm having problems during the initial setup of wireless keyboard and mouse.

I ordered both online seprerately. I'm also using my television as the monitor. Pairing both products with my Mac Mini isn't working. These items did not come with my Mac Mini. I can't even access the set up menu as I can't get pass the initial User Language Screen because my keyboard fails to pair. Please help!

It sounds like you need to borrow a wired keyboard so you can login and pair the devices using Bluetooth. Also try checking the batteries and whether the light is flashing when the keyboard/mouse are set up.

Hi, I am new in Apple Computer, I bought a used Power Mac G5. I want to buy a blue tooth card for the same to use wireless keyboard and mouse. so why it is mandatory to provide the serial number of the machine?

    Hello, Serial# not needed...
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac.

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • Initial set up with wireless keyboard and mouse!!

My gods, I set up a mac mini with wireless keyboard and mouse. It stead fastly refused to find the brand new apple wireless mouse. I had to plug a wacom in, in the end to get anywhere. Then it would not find the keyboard, again apple wireless. It did find the keyboard but when it started the pairing just came up with no keyboards were found.
I struggled in the end and after around 10 minutes blagged the keyboard, I don't know how it just suddenly worked.
Thinking about this I had the self same problem on a wireless keyboard and mouse for an iMac as well I installed for a friend, it took ages and ages for the computer to discover the two apple devices.
Am I just unlucky or is there voodoo involved? Luckily I am a seasoned apple user so got there in the end, but if I were a switcher and the very first experience of my new mac was it could not find its own mouse, I would not be impressed.

I've been using the Apple wireless mouse and keyboard with my Mac mini for about a year.
I've noticed that whenever the batteries for the two devices are running very low, they may not be recognize by the mini. Other than that, they are fine.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse + Bootcamp = screensaver problems

I can't seem to get the screensaver to activate when using the apple wireless keyboard and mouse under windows XP with Bootcamp.
I know its a problem with the wireless devices because if i restart the computer and not press anything (ie. mouse or keyboard) then the screensaver will work.
However as soon as I press the mouse or move the cursor around, the screensaver will fail to activate on its own, or if it activates, it will wake itself up even if I don't move the mouse or press the keyboard.
    Any solutions?

Hi Capfred: Thank you for your replay. I have tried to follow your information but unable to solve the problem. I followed your comments but I am unable to get to the menu you mention. I have installed MAC OS X, Version 10.7.2 .
The only thing that works is the Apple last wireless mouse. I belive that I must have done something that created this situation. My problem is that I live in Panama, Central America and the local Apple dealer has little to no tech support.
Would it be possible for me to call you and review the config of these items or is there a way to restore the Macbook Air to the original installation .
I appreciate your kind help and once again thank you for your help. Regards,
    Ruben

  • TS3048 I changed the battery in my wireless keyboard and checked the batteries to make sure that they work.  When I returned to my computer (the computer was already on) the keyboard would not work, no response at all.  What do I do?

I changed the battery in my wireless keyboard and checked the batteries to make sure that they are good, I left the computer on while I changed the batteries. When I returned to the computer, the computer does not acknowledge the keyboard so I can't do any diagnostics. What do I do?

Hold the power key on the keyboard down for 5 secs to power off,  tap the power button once to start.   It should connect automatically.

    ray,
We just moved a couple of those CPUs the other day.  Can you indicate your location with the name of a city near you?  A user group might be nearby.

  • HT1752 I need to transfer files from an 'original' iMac to a brand new one. The old Mac has no keyboard or mouse. Could it support a current wireless keyboard and mouse?

I need to transfer files from an 'original' iMac to a brand new one. The old Mac has no keyboard or mouse. Could it support a current wireless keyboard and mouse?

Assuming that "original" means a G3/CRT iMac, not wireless. The G3 iMacs didn't have Bluetooth. The good news, though, is that any standard USB keyboard and mouse will work with them, even the ones designed for Windows that you can pick up for ten bucks or so.

  • Will the new Apple wireless keyboard and mouse work with my Macbook Pro?

Looking at purchasing a wireless keyboard and mouse for my Macbook Pro. Figured the one made by apple will work, but not sure... Any suggestions on a good wireless keyboard and mouse, or knowledge on whether Apples will work or not?

    magic mouse: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/MB829LLABB/
I just got them last week and the keyboard is new and the mouse is used but looks brand new.  And you get a free pair of AA bateries with the mouse.  And you can get 2AA batteries for the keyboard for an extra $1.29 I highly recommend going this route as I did very recently and am very pleased.

  • Can the iPad work with a wireless keyboard and mouse?

Would like to know if the new iPad will work with a wireless keyboard and mouse!

There are quite a few threads requesting this facility, so I thought I would choose this recently active (at the time of writing) post to reply to, in the hope some thinking appleite with influence stumbles upon it.
I totally get Apples philosophy of not polluting their interface design concepts with the introduction of a clunky so-last-year cursor; I actually agree.  What I can't understand so much is that there are a number of apps that could benefit from mouse support. The one I need is RDP.  This class of apps allow us to connect to servers running other operating systems using the IPad; why not authorise CERTAIN APPS to access the Bluetooth mouse stack, and let us have joy.  It doesn't affect the iPad experience in the slightest, at least not to it's detriment.
The new retina screen is such that I actually prefer the experience of using my iPad to connect to the server than my laptop!, but given I develop software, there is no way my stubby finger can compete the clinical accuracy of a mouse when using intricate interfaces such as MSDE.  With just that one addition, I would practically move into the post pc era you tout so much, at least in my interfacing With the post pc pc,s :).
    Thanks

  • HT204406 What will happen if my computer shuts down during the initial setup of iTunes Match?

What will have if my computer shuts down or restarts during the initial start of iTunes Match?

    Video: Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT
If you have a recent nVidia driver installed, you might want to check to see if you have either of these two modules loaded - check in the nVidia console:
PhysX, or 3D Stereovision. If you have them, definitely disable 3D Stereo, and test. If no improvement, disble PhysX and test.
Also, try adjusting your Hardware Acceleration. If Max, set to Min and test. If Min, set to Max and test. If either helps, try incrementing up, or down, until it no longer helps.
Last, check your OpenGL settings. If ON, turn OFF. If OFF, turn ON.
It appears that you have a laptop. Is that correct?
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • I'm having problems with the bookmarks, which are very unstable and almost impossible to use.

When I try to use my bookmarks and run the cursor to try to get to a folder, such as Travel, many times it just opens the one above instead. Also, when I can finally get this to open, it's very difficult to get to take the cursor across and reach the bookmark I need. It has gotten so bad that I spend a lot of wasted time.

yep... my iphone 4 also having problem like astoker.. u see on dock pin using torch light.. i found 2 pin touch each other.. i solve my problem ready.. thanks wjosten.

  • 502 Bad Gateway during the initial setup of EA6300

Sorry guys, guess you are pissed off such issues, but...
Brand new ISP cable connect with a modem, and wireless router EA6300.
    1. Connecting my laptop to the modem directly using LAN cable - I have Internet connection.
    2. Removing the LAN cable between my laptop and the modem, connecting the router to the modem using LAN cable, then trying to connect my laptop to the wireless network which is coming with the router - connect is OK (I can find the network and the password coming with the device works).
    3. Then the documentation says open a browser or load linksyssmartwifi.com and follow the instructions.
    Unfortunatelly I get the error
    502 - Bad Gateway
in the browser when trying to do this - I tried that from two different computers (Win 7 and Win 8) - same result.
Noticed that the link in web browser gets changed to
    http://linksyssmartwifi.com:52000/ui/dynamic/setup/welcome.html?target=www.linksyssmartwifi.com%2F
So it seems that I get connected to somewhere but the request fails to complete.
The ISP modem is Cisco EPC3208.
The ISP is Blizoo (blizoo.bg), country Bulgaria, city Sofia (if matters). I don't have static IP assigned by the ISP.
    Help appreciated.
Browsing the forum I see that I can try to disconnect the router from the modem then to try LAN connect to the router and using 192.168.1.1, or to try connecting the cable directly to the router.
Anyway I want to understand what the current issue is and to use the original setup (ISP cable -> ISP Cisco modem -> EA6300 router) if possible as I am planning on connecting more devices to the router e.g. my static phone line/device.
    Thanks,
    Valov
    P.S.

I'm currently running into a similar issue as well. I just purchased my router today and have only received 502 or 500 error pages when trying to access linksyssmartwifi.com, 192.168.1.1, or myrouter.local.

  • Will any wireless keyboard and mouse work with the Macbook Air?

I just need to know if my existing keyboard/mouse will work or if I need to purchase new.

Any BlueTooth keyboard or mouse should work. I have a nifty Kensington BT keyboard that switches from my desktop to MBA to iPad with the flick of a single key and I have a BT Magic Mouse.

  • The old (2003) bluetooth wireless keyboard and snow leopard

I was thinking of getting this keyboard because it's the only wireless keyboard apple made that also has a number pad. My question is if anyone has any connectivity issues or issues after connectivity with this keyboard on osx 10.6.2 just because of how long ago it was made.

I have just plain Leopard at 10.5.8 and I can tell you that the mac find it, it's discoverable, but it won't fully sync. I'm not able to type a single letter. Worked just fine up until upgrading to leopard.
