Insert the original Instal DVD that came with the computer, restart the mac and choose 'Reset Password' from the Utilities menu.

TECH Support--Need help changing email/password

I have had my Skype account for several years now...and after getting my first smart phone recently, I've tried to add my account on the phone. But the email I used to create my Facebook page (which is how I link to Skype) is nonexistent now (i deleted it and got a new one). Also, my Facebook password does not apparently work when I try to change my email for my account.
I will supply whatever information is necessary to change my email--please help with accessing my current password or changing the email, if possible. Otherwise, I will ask that Skype deletes my account so I can make a new one. Thanks!

You must enter your user ID and password TWICE. Once for incoming mail, and once for the outgoing (SMTP) server.

I have been gone for over three years and now that I have returned I cannot remember my password to my laptop computer. It is an windows vista hp. Is there anyone who can help me?

Two options I can think of.
1-If you don't have files,photos on the laptop that you don't want to lose you can do a> System Recovery to restore back to Factory settings by tapping F11 key at power on.
2- Download PC LoginNow. Click the .exe file to extract the ISO file and use ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a cd. Boot the laptop with the cd to clear password.Download and Guides HERE

I need to change my password because I let my disgruntled (ex) boyfriend use my account, and I don't want him to charge anything to my card. I made this account year ago back in high school and the answers I've provided for the security questions are apparently incorrect. However, I desperately need to change my account password. How can I recover/write new security questions????????

2. Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
3. Then choose iTunes Store;

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
      tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
      "done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
      Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
      should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
      security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
      selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
      should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
      questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I need help changing the previous owners id and password

I bought a use macbook Lion os-x 10.7.5 software. My apple id and password don't work because the previous owners password is still in there. I have tried to get to the Disc Utility by restarting and holding the control, alt/option and r keys but it just starts up to the normal screen. No disc utility. Any suggestions?

If you started holding the Option key, and only saw Macintosh HD rather than that and Recovery, then it seems that Recovery is missing or damaged on your computer. Some models of MacBook will start in Internet Recovery if you use Command Option R; although it seems that yours is not suitable.
If you are able to start in Single User mode (hold Command & S at the chime), then you may be able to follow the steps below to change the password. Print them out first, & make sure that you know the name of the user that you wish to change. This won't alter the AppleID name & password that were used to install previous software, so you may still need to erase & (re)install yourself; starting with the relevant install DVD(s) which are usually available from Apple for around $20, if you call with the serial number.
Start in Single User mode & wait for the :/ root#    prompt to appear
type        mount -uw /        then press enter (the slash is important)
again, wait for the :/ root#    prompt
type    passwd username
then press enter (swapping 'username' for the name you need to change the password for)
You should see
:/ root# passwd username
Changing password for username
New password:
You now type a password, which won't be shown onscreen, then press enter
then you should see
Retype new password:
type the same new password again, then press enter.
wait for the :/ root#    prompt, then type     reboot    & press enter

It might be setup so you don't have to enter your username and password when you boot up. It is set this way if you can turn it on, and when it's done starting, you see a desktop and dock and can use your programs. On the other hand, you might have to enter your username (either by typing or clicking on your icon) and then your password. After doing that you will be at the desktop.
If you can't get to the desktop be, it means you aren't typing the password correctly. Passwords are case sensitive -- perhaps you just need to turn caps-lock off -- e.g., "PASSWORD" is not the same as "password" and if your password is set to something like the latter, typing the former will always fail. If you don't know the password, you can reset it by booting from the system install discs (put in system disc, hold down "c" while turning on the computer, ignore the open popup regarding installation, from the menu, choose the option for resetting the password, choose the user you wish to reset, and then enter a new password).
On the other hand, if you get to your desktop and can use programs, the above is not your problem. Instead, you are having a problem loging into your mail account because you don't know your password. In that case, your only option is to contact the mail service provider and ask for your password. That issue has nothing to do with your operating system.

Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. It is probably one of them who created the Apple ID.
