The Arrangement tab only appears in System Preferences Displays pane if a second display is recognized by the system (the OS). So it seems like your MacBook is not seeing the TV as being connected.
Describe the video connection between MacBook and TV... What type of video out port does your MacBook model have? How is it converted to the type of port used on the TV?

I have tried repairing with the disk utility, resetting PRAM, booting in safe mode (which gave a subset of the errors that 'disk repair' did- namely- 'invalid sibling link,invalid record count, invalid node structure, invalid key length) and finally trying to get to archive&install the o/s, but it cannot find the destination volume. Authorization and Deauthorization
Macs: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer

5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.

You can choose the destination of any export in the second screen of the export dialogue.

I have done exactly what you said. When I check "update", a screen drops down that asks that I enter my email address to continue........but i cannot find any way to do this.

New iMac connected My Book and it downloaded. Cannot find the files

I bought a new IMAC and connected external drive My Book with almost 2T and it downloaded. It has taken up all disk space and I cannot find it.

If it shows as 'downloaded' in the Purchased tabs in the iBooks app then it should show on the bookshelf in the app. If you select the My Books tab in the app (bottom left) and then tap the 'collection' name at the top middle of the bookshelf and select the 'All' collection does it then show on the bookshelf ?

The Apple TV says change the settings in "Advanced settings", but I can't find "Advanced settings" in iTunes anywhere.

You might need to bring up the menu bar first.
If you're using version 11.0.1.12, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Now you should be able to find the duplicates thing in the View Menu.
(If you're still using iTunes version 11.0.0.163, you'd need to update to 11.0.1.12 to get the Display duplicates control.)
EDIT: Sorry, in the initial version of this reply, I said the Show Duplicate items was in the File Menu. It's in the View Menu in version 11.0.1.12.
