HT1338 iphone 3gs cant be activated after software update to ios5

iphone 3gs cant be activated after software update to ios5

What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?
Which version of Cydia is on your iPhone - the one with the black & white
icon or another one? What color is the Cydia icon?

My iPhone 3GS can't connect to my M1424WR anymore after I updated my iPhone software.  Apple suggested I update my router software - any tips?

Try use "forget this network" then re enter the wep/wpa key (network password) this happens sometimes with my iTouch.
Other than that, there is no reason the iPhone cannot connect. =/

    plz ans. me....

You can only purchase apps and other media for the county's sore in which yu are located. You account, included payment method, also must be associated with that country.
Sam applies for updating apps. Note that not all apps are available in all country so y will not be able to update an app if you are in another country and that app is not available in that country or your account is not associated with that country.
You can change the country and other things by:

iphone 5 stuck in portrait after software update  wont unlock  i can see the lock symbol but cant find it in menu

Try swiping up from the bottom very bottom edge of the screen to reveal the Control Center. You should be able to turn off the rotation lock there (Round arrow with a lock in the middle)

  • My iphone 3gs is not activating after updating my software with i tunes...what shall i do? cant i go back to my normal version which was ios 4.1

my iphone 3gs which is not associated with this accunt is not activating after updating the sof tware, it connects to i tunes but i tunes says "we arh your unable to continue with your activation at this time, please try again later or contact customer care". my iphone aslo just says it cannot be activated or something like that every time i try. i have been waiting for 4 hours now but it still hasnt worked. how can i uninstal this update and go back to my old version which ws ios 4.1 or or ios 4,3. i dont even know what version it updated to, im assuming it is ios5 but not sure. it says try connecting to i tunes as well but it is connected and i tunes cant activate it either. my phone is connect to a wifi but it stll says no service.
i will really appreciate some help.
    thanks.

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?

  • HT1688 iPhone 3GS 32GB cannot active after Unlock

    Dear friends,
I have factory unlock my iPhone 3GS,
    IMEI:012159009293606
    Serial Number:880082NF3NS.
So, I have upgrades iOS to iOS6.1.3.
How can i active my iPhone?
I was input SIM card with wifi connect, and cable. But still can not active it.
    So help me, please!
    BachHV.

How precisely did you "unlock" this iPhone? Did you go through the cell carrier to whom the iPhone was locked, get confirmation that they'd processed the unlock or waited the recommended time, and then restored your iPhone and received the "your iPhone has now been unlocked"? If you did not and you used any other sort of procedure to "unlock" your iPhone, it was probably jailbroken which may have rendered it permanently unable to be activated.
Please tell us exactly what you did to "unlock" the iPhone and we'll go from there.
    Regards.

  • Activation after software update

I am using a BB 9700 Bold. When I try to update the BB software through BB Desktop Manager, I am presented with a notice saying that after the update has been performed, I need to activate my handset wirelessly to continue to receive e-mails, etc.
I am not using the Enterprise version.
Does anybody know what this activation involves? Am I likely to run into any problems because of some details that are required (and that I might not know immediately)?
    Thanks,
    Wolf

Upgrade the iOS 5 in iphone 3gs, after back the phone and installing show error to call to restart, after restart, the phone cannot be detected and iphone. Any one can help to solve it?

Same problem here ! I called Apple Care and got two people during 2 hours on call, they were unable to explain why and just repeat that "the use of TVout for recording purpose are not supported by apple".
Why this settings has to be hidden ?
FYI : i'm able to capture Ipad 2 thru BMD Intensity Pro but not able to switch PAL and NTSC in TV OUT settings to get a correct input. TV OUT setting doesn't appear.

In the process of updating phone to iOS 7, (which has missed a couple of updates) it is frozen with apple logo and status bar on screen after software downloaded and installed. The phone has been connected to a computer for this update. How do I reboot?

    See Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

  • IPhone 3Gs no longer operational failed software update 3.1 via iTunes 9

    Hi
Ok updated iTunes to version 9 on both laptop and PC (no problems there and laptop is my primary syncing computer).
Updated iTouch (2nd gen) to 3.1.1 first attempt failed, retried and update is succesful.
Connected iPhone as per normal (had sent and received texts several hours before no problems). Registered that new software available so proceeded to download (all the while iPhone connected). Update proceeded to the "Connect to iTunes" screen on phone, then error showed after a minute on iTunes and update failed (error report sent to Apple). So went to check phone and nothing, blank screen no ability to even turn it on!
I read others have also failed but at least still have option to restart and reset software/ firmware to previous version. Just wondering if THIS IS A REALLY ISOLATED CASE, or is this a "common" occurrence? Looks to be complete OS deletion.
Anyway will be getting Apple a bit of a hurry up for a replacement.
    Thanks
    Matthew

Well, the answer to that question is "yes". See these messages:
    http://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=dead+iphone&objID=f1333&dat eRange=last90days&userID=&numResults=15
About half these messages relate to dead pixels and the others dead iPhones.
The OS 3.1 update seems to have been particularly troublesome (it's the only one which didn't work the first time for me), perhaps due to being right on the heels of installing a major update to iTunes.

  • IPhone 4s battery drain een after software update

Why is my battery draining very quickly even after I installed the new software upgrade of 6.1.2?

that's a common complaint.  You will have to wait until a fix/update is released by Apple.

  • IPhone won't turn on after software update

Last night I went to update my iPhone 4S to the latest iOS 7. I went to sleep while it was updating and it was charging and when I woke up it wasn't on and it kept vibrating every few seconds when it was charging. I tried to turn it on, then I tried to restart it and held the home and sleep buttons for 20 seconds. I tried connecting it to iTunes and iTunes won't detect a device. Any help??

I tried to restart it and held the home and sleep buttons for 20 seconds.
    Try it this way ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
