I have the macBookPro and the problem is the mouse pad does not work I tried everything but still does not work what should i do ?
so i'm using the usb mouse

I want to clarify the issue.
The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.
    Post here with your results!!

  • HP G62 keyboard mouse pad does not work in Windows, works in BIOS

Attaching USB mouse and keyboard works, however Restoring to last known good settings, System Restore, Removing battery and holding power for one minute, etc. None of this works.  When I look in Device Manager I see no issues there.  What is the next step?  I feel like I've tried everything recommended!

try to download and install the updated driver/sw of the touchpad from the support website.

  • My mouse can not click to anything left, right or the middle mouse button does not work

I am using a 24 inch imac and the problem is suddenly my mouse can not click to anything left, right or the middle mouse button does not work i can see cursor moving and i can use the features of the keyboard but my mouse dies. I tried to plug in another mouse magic trackpad and my tablet but each has the same problem. I can not click to anything but cursor is moving and computer is not frozen. I have to shut it off from the power button when this happens. Do you have any idea what can cause this and how can i fix this?

Reset the SMC 2-3 times. Click Intel iMac SMC and PRAM resets for instructions.

Help! My Mouse pad is not working properly. The arrow cannot be controlled, it just keeps jumping all over the page. How can I stop this?

There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
    1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
    2. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and in that case the unit must be serviced or replaced.
    3. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
    4. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
    5. Reset the System Management Controller.
    6. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
    7. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
    8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to  behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
    9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
    10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
    11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.

  • System settings "Keyboard & mouse" Dialogue does not appear

    Hi,
I'm using my MacBook Pro with latest version of Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.4).
I bought recently a new Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse. I connected them by using the Wizard in System Settings --> Bluetooth.
Unfortunately the Mouse behavior is a bit too slow from my perspective, so I wanted to speed it up a bit.
Therefore I tried to enter the "Keyboard & Mouse" Menu in "System Settings". Once I click on the Icon for "Keyboard & Mouse" the dialogue box turns to the grey background only without any settings on top of it.
I could go back to "all settings" but the Keyboard & Mouse dialogue doesn't open. Reboots did not help ...

    Well,
trackpad works fine. Unfortunately "Keyboard & Mouse" dialogues does not work either once I have no connected external mouse. My USB Logitech mouse as well, but I'd like to move from Trackpad and Logitech mouse to MightyMouse.

  • Mouse Wheel does not work on a Laptop?

I have written a program to support mouse wheel action in my appplication. (using 1.4.1) This works fine on my desktop PC but on my HP Laptop it is a no go.
The mouseWheelMoved event doesn't even register on the built-in mouse pad of HP. (I checked it out in debug mode and moving the HP mouse wheel does not generate a mouseWheelMoved event.)
Any help or insight on this problem is appreciated.
    Thx

Maybe it registers as some other mouse event. Have you trying listening and reporting other events?

  • HT4101 Mini i-pad does not see camera

My camera connects successfully to my i-pad but my mini i-pad does not appear to recognise when I attach the same camera. Any suggestions?

If your device is not recognized, verify it is configured correctly:
iPad Camera Connector supports Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) and Mass Storage Device protocol. Try both settings.

  • Keyboard does not click

My keyboard does not click as I type. I also noted that FaceTime does not ring when connecting. I do use a BlueTooth speaker when I listen to my iPad, which works fine. I have my iPad 2 upgraded to the latest iOS system. The speakers work fine when I listen to on line radio and television programs.  I checked Settings, and it shows that both keyboard click and FaceTime ring are on. Thank you for any help.

This did solve my problems. I did get feedback about the FaceTime issue, that the Settings, General, Use side switch was on mute, which may have also been a problem. As I checked the device before solving, I noticed that none of my apps had sound. I found that resetting, though, forced me to enter pass codes. An inconvenience, but at least I have everything back to normal, thanks to you and the discussion folks. Thank you.

  • Cursor does not click the sign-out button in yahoo, rediff etc pages ?

cursor does not click the sign-out button in yahoo, rediff etc pages. E.G once I open my yahoo page, the cursor pointer will not change it's appearance to the finger type when I try to click the sign-out or inbox button. This does not happen with chrome or explorer.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.
