Not enough free disk space can cause the problems you are describing.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

I have recently had problems in getting my Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to run. One of the gentlemen was able to take over control of my computer, and got it working for me, however since that time the program will sometimes open but most times it just freezes the computer and I have to shut it down and re open without any success with opening the elements program.

What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? If so, please read the Announcement about the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue which is found at the top of this web site. Does that apply to you? The explanation for the situation and the fix (roll back of the driver version) are all included in that Announcement.
We need to rule in or out this factor at the onset before we get to other questions
a. non NIVIDIA video card/graphics card driver
b. project preset and properties of source media

When downloading 10.5.2 version of itunes to Microsoft Vista 32 bit it gets to 68% downloaded and hangs then eventuall times out. No error msg given. What is it waiting for?
Finally got it working, I had to delete two solitary files in an iTunes folder.
C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info
Delete the only two files that are in this folder. Please note that it is a hidden folder.
After they have been deleted, iTunes should work (it did for me)
This may not work if your iTunes.exe process (viewable with task manager) turns off after the license agreement. I solved that problem by updating quicktime.
iTunes 10.5.2 doesn't update quicktime like all the previous installers did. -

I can see it on Windows Media? Need help on this.It says SEDG 720X480 2:1 Mono. Video came from Sd memory card taken with a Samsung Video Camera.
Strangely enough, as a FourCC, SEDG is defined as "MPEG-4 hardware and software codec used in Samsung digital video products." Not a Windows or Samsung camcorder user but THIS WEB PAGE may be of some assistance.
Also I will need to view a CD recorded by the same camera (DVD-RW) file extensions are VIDEO_RM.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, SAMSUNG.IFO So far these files don't open even with Windows Media.
I don't know what to do to be able to open up these files save them on my Hard drive and then be able to upload them to YouTube. Any Ideas?
IFO files tell how the video content is segmented and where the video data is located. BUP files contain back-up IFO information. VOB files contain actual multipled audio/video data. A DVD formatted to play in a commercial DVD player normally contains a series of files named "VTS##_#.VOB" where ## refers to the "title" series and "_#" (where # is not a zero) refers to the order in which the video title file data is played.
Again, I am neither a Windows user nor an athority on Samsung VIDEO_RM folder structures. However, if your disc contains both a VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS folder, then I would normally assume the VIDEO_RM folder is present for legacy purposes and/or to provide information about the refording device while the VIDEO_TS folder actually contains the video object (VOB) file data. In any case, as I am not familiar with what software is available for muxed MPEG-2/AC3 editing/conversion on a Windows platform, I would try viewing the VOB files in an application like MPEG Streamclip (free). If you can play the Audio and video content (be sure to read the MPEG Streamclip requirements regarding codec installation), then you can edit (merge and/or trim) the raw data and convert it to a format compatible for YouTube uploading. (I.e., MPEG Streamclip is commonly used on the Mac for this type of work flow and the app is also available for Windows use.) -

Of course. First, check that your computer is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 If your iMac is supported, buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Before upgrading, make a backup of your data. After backing up your data, insert the Snow Leopard disc and upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The DVD contains Mac OS X 10.6.3, so open > Software Update to install Mac OS X 10.6.8.
That update will install the App Store. Just open the App Store (it's on the Dock, next to iTunes) and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. If you want to know what the requirements are, see > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Apart from that, check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com Note that PowerPC apps aren't supported on Mountain Lion.
After being Mountain Lion downloaded, the OS X installer will appear, so follow the on-screen steps to install OS X Mountain Lion -

I want to download itunes 11.0.2 on my PC but I get a "cannot download because you do not have 10.6.3 or later. I hit download and it runs for about
ten second then says "Thanks for download" but it is not download. I have not been able to sync for over 5 months. My iPhone 3GS has 6.1.3 version.That's because iTunes 11 requires Snow Leopard or higher.

Yes you can. If the iMac meets the system requirements for Lion then you can boot it off the Lion disc (which is actually a USB drive, unless you download and burn it yourself).

Also when I do the system update it's not giving me an update for the latest Snow Leopard. I never knew that was available until I started looking around this site and it seems that since I have the internal dual core I should be able to update to mountian lion...is this correct? Will someone please help me and walk me through this. I love my mac I want to have it running like it should be.

HT1338 I am running 10.7.3 Problem with Software Update
When I run Software Update, I get a list of programs to update.
All of the updates download.
After computer restarts, I get a message saying updates cannot be installed.
Message says downloaded files may have been corrupted.
My internet connection is FIOS.
I have no problem downloading items via iTunes.
I have repeatedly tried to update, but to no avail..
My computer is a MacBook Pro.
I've run Disc Utlitity, everything is fine on my start up disc.
And I have plenty of room on my HD
Any ideas?

I had installed FF 4.0.1 and have been using it for a while. I am running Win XP Pro, SP2. Last night a messge came up informing me that FF 4.1 was now available and that it would be advisable to download and install it. I did this and everything seemed to work fine but when I look at the 'About Firefox' info under 'Help' it still tells me that I am running 4.0.1. Everything still seems to be functioning well but this disturbs me as it does not seem to have been a FF message. Can you please tell me if such a message was sent out, and if so, why, seeing as the version does not seem to have changed?
