HT1338 Never happend b4! usign Mac for 19 yrs. got phtos on desktop but nothing in them and they will not delete...suggestions?
Put phot son desktop a couple of days ago and now there is nothing in them, I imported into iPhotos and they will not leave the desktop.
Any suggestions??

I have the same behavior but do not have Bootcamp.
This bizarre file just seems to create itself in my Trash and when I empty trash it stays there. If I drag it ti the desktop it just disappears...
Any more ideas?

You have entirely too little free space on the boot drive, for best performance it's best to have hard drives only 50% filled max and never more than 80% filled.

If you upgrade and it doesn't go right or slows the machine down you might need to erase and install, which all your programs will have to be reinstalled from original sources and files from backup.

If you can't do this, then hire a local PC/Mac specialist.
Do not upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 on that older machine, it will slow down and you will lose all your PPC based programs.

I have the iPhone 5s. I synced it with my Mac and got all the old apps from my old phone. I was not able to update any of the apps on the old phone and they will not update on the new iPhone 5s either! What can I do?

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

I have 2 itunes accounts. I can no longer use my first one for purchases so I had to start a new one and it will not sync from my new one without deleting everything on my same ipod from my previous account. How do I sync between both accounts?

When i attempt to sync my iphone it continues to say this computer is no longer authorized for apps and they will be deleted?? I don't understand?? I put my password and authorize but same message comes up. What to do??
I found the solution in another post. By deleting all my apps, I was able to sync the phone. I hope I don't have to delete all my apps every time I want to sync my phone, but at least now I am able to sync my phone.

You are as far as you can be with the original iPad; only iPad 2 and greater will update to 7+

When I either leave my mac book pro open, but idle long enough for it to go to sleep or close the top and put it to sleep, the only way to light up the screen again is to diconnect the mag. connect power cord. Any ideas why and/or how to correct this problem?
So this is what I got when I took my computer into the apple store to have it diagnosed.
After the apple technician performced several tests, the only thing that fixed the issue was an SMC reset. Based on this he figures it is probably a software or firmware issue that is going on. He is a little concerend how ever that the fans of the comupter don't reach maximal rpm when the computer is displaying the issue. So he recorded the problem, and told me to just perform the SMC reset as needed for the next couple months and wait for a new update from apple. If the issue persists I am to go back to the apple store and they will take the appropriate steps.
He said an SMC reset doesn't hurt the computer in any way, so its safe to do. I am gonna contact blizzard and let them know about the issue as well because if it is software, it could be their game (Diablo 3) that is causing the issue as well. If I hear of anything new i will let you know. So get on the blizzard form and let them know of the issue to fix the problem faster.

Timing of text box not working. I get the first few slides to work and then on slide 5 my text boxes will not appear. And they do not appear for the rest of the slide show. Help anyone.
Text caption is timed to appear at 2 seconds, but you have a click box at 0sec. Its duration is very short, which means that I cannot see if there is a pause. I suspect this click box is pausing at the end of its timeline, which is at 0.3secs and the Text caption at 2 seconds will not appear before the user has clicked on that click box. The timeline is the core of Captivate, learn at least how to read it.

If you want the green text caption 'Click on...' to appear right at the beginning of the slide, you have to check its Timing accordion: set it to start at 0 secs instead of 2 secs and extend its duration to the 'rest of the slide'.
I don't know what is in the Group. That group and the HIghlight box will disappear at 3 seconds. Or maybe the action that is triggered by the Clickbox is different from 'Continue'?

Scenario:
When a visitor comes to our website and creates a login, we are pushing their profile information to Eloqua via the Eloqua web services api. However, because they have not filled out an Eloqua form or clicked through an email, their page visit activity is not synced with their profile information in Eloqua because they don't have an Eloqua cookie yet (for first time visitors only).
I know you can integrate an external form with an Eloqua form (which will then create the Eloqua cookie automatically) but because this is a login form for our website, we don't want to send secure information (such as passwords) over to Eloqua.
Is there a way to create the Eloqua cookie using the web services api and/or javascript or is this a missing feature?I think what you're asking is how can you link a visitor profile to an Eloqua contact. An Eloqua cookie is placed on a user's computer by the javascript tracking scripts - this is just a unique id that is used when saving the visitor information to a table in the Eloqua database. It will be there regardless of whether the user comes from an email or submits a form. What does happen when a user visits your website from an Eloqua email or submits a form is the visitor profile that has been keeping track of website activity in Eloqua gets linked to an Eloqua contact by email address.
To make this link happen in your scenario, you can instead of pushing the information through the web services to Eloqua directly as a create contact call, create a form submission through the web services where you can pass through the elqCustomerGUID (the cookie value) along with at least an email address to make the link happen.
You will need to:
1. use javascript on your website to pull the elqCustomerGUID from eloqua. There's code for this in the integration details for individual forms in Eloqua. It has to be pulled from Eloqua servers because the cookie is a third party cookie.
2. pass this cookie value to your server so you have it when you make the web services calls to Eloqua to push the contact information over and now make a form submission record (entities through the api Base->Form->*this will be a form submission record*) to create the link in Eloqua. -
I bought my Blackberry passport on Feb 13rd. Right out of the box the sim tray didn't read the sim. I thought it is my sim's problem, so I waited for another sim. New sim came in, still didn't read. After a long call with customer support and BB virtual support, I had my device sent in around mid March. They checked it and said I damaged the sim tray and I need to pay 268$ to have it fixed. I though it is ridiculous since I haven't done anything to the phone. So I argued with them and eventually they agreed to have my fixed without cost.
However when they sent me back the device, I poped in the sim and it only works for 1 day, on and off the second day and then not reading the sim at all after that. I think the sim tray's problem with the passport is prevalent and the pin can be broken by the simple act of poping in the sim card. My ATT sim is working perfectly fine on the 5s and my brother's iphone 6.
After 2 days of receiving the "repaired" device, I call them again and this time they said it is certainly my fault and if I send it in again, I will have to pay 268$ to have it fixed.
So I thought for people out ther if you have a passport, don't pop in and out the sim card. It can really easily be broken.
For me, I think now I just gonna use my "broken sim tray new passport" as a reading device. After 10 years, I will officially switch to other brand. Still love the keyboard though, but anyway.Check that your sim card does not have a burr or edge on it before you insert it, as that may be what's damaging the SIM pins.
Site anly allow linlks to web images, so here's what the tray is supposed to look like - with the SIM cover on.
FWIW - a T3 torx driver is required to remove the screws around the SIM and TF card tray cover. That would allow you to look at the underlying pins - and possibly - with a bit of luck, fix them on your own. -
I am running Mac OSx Lion 10.7.2.
My issue is that I am not able to run a search in the finder toolabar on a network server. No files show up nor does it search on the server anymore. I was able to run the search in snow-leopard and am no longer able to do so with Lion. Is there a preference I can change or some kind of app or program I can download that will help me with this issue? This is extremely problematic for me as I am searching for files all day everyday. 1. Shut the machine down.

4. Connect back up and reboot.

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

i have an apple account, but i created a new one because none of the passwords i use worked on it (i hadnt been on in a while)
so i set up another account with the same email and a new password on January 27. i have chevcked my emails every day since then and my junk email folder and there is nothing there to help me!
i cant log on to or use my itunes at all because it tells me that i havent verified my password and every time i click resend verification email and nothing comes to my email.
i dont know what to do now, i have just tried to reset my password online and it said that it worked, but when i go on itunes there is still nothing working...
