According to dpreview, this camera will not be available to purchase until mid-October. Apple supports only raw L on the D810. The availability of D750 raw support is a schedule that only Apple and Nikon possess, and do not share with us in this international Apple Support Community. When it is ready, it will be in a future Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update.
Dial up your patience. It may be awhile.

Getting 2 different stories about what is going on would bother me too. I don't know what would take a week to test. If they are overwhelmed with work orders then they should say so.
Using your case #, I would ask for a manager. Be polite but firm. You have waited way too long on this and Apple should give you something for your troubles. There have been instances where people have gotten bags, etc where Apple screwed up. It happens in every company. Make the case that you have been out of a computer all this time.

Nikon D600 Raw support?

Why is it taking so long to provide support for the Nikon D600 RAW files? I love using Aperture and have established a great workflow that works for me and now i'm having to use Nikon s/w to process the files and import them back into my workflow. This camera was announced 5 weeks ago.

Nikon D300S Raw Support

Please, Apple.....
Why so slow when it comes to RAW support for new professional camera models? Nearly a month ago, Nikon has updated one of their best selling pro DX-cameras - the D300, with the D300S model.
Adobe promptly released RAW-support for this camera..... while Aperture still greet images from the Nikon D300S as "Unsupported File Format"?
I am aware of the work-around with the use of Adobe´s converter (or Nikon Transfer) but it is still an inconvenience and bug in our workflow.
So, (pretty) please, Apple – why don´t you keep an eye on the camera market and follow up with timely updates of Aperture RAW support!

Ahh the omni-present "when will Aperture support" thread....
I just thought of a great way to make some money here...I would be willing to bet just about anything that Aperture would support ALL Nikon DSLRs that Nikon continues to build...WHY?
Simply because when it comes to Nikon they have done so consistently. Those new to the forum can search D300 support or D3 support and see identical messages from a couple of years ago.
I would say Apple's average to respond to a new build is about 90 days, and then they typically release for a few cameras at once in an update.
Oh and finally, Nikon's top-of-the-line is my D3x, NOT the new D3s, and yes, Aperture supports it. I am 100% sure the D3s will be there soon as well.
Of course you can find this same thread from a while back if you search D3x. Less so though, because due to limited availability I was not able to get one for a while after announcement since I did not pre-order, so I think for me it was about a week or so after I had it that Aperture supported it. Lesson here would be pre-ordering a camera is not very useful if your workflow solution won't be supporting it immediately.
On a sad note...I am still waiting for the Leica D-LUX 4 support, and that has been more than a year...but it looks like Leica/Panasonic chose to include lens distortion data in their RAW file, and I am assuming Aperture is not equipped to handle that. Many of the programs who "support" the RAW file DO NOT have any lens correction applied, and the jpg vs. RAW looks different. I don't consider that support, and I bet Aperture did not want to open themselves up to complaints by only partially converting the RAW data. Fortunately the D-LUX 4 has the best jpgs I have ever seen from any camera, and are typically quite usable without major tweaking.

Is there going to be Nikon d7100 Raw Support on Snow Leopard?

Hi, i just bought a Nikon d7100 and I realized that I cannot see RAW files in Aperture when running Snow Leopard
OK, i understand that I can upgrade to Mountain Lion to solve the problem by using the RAW support released a few months ago or use other s/w than Aperture but I would rather not.
So, does anyone know if Apple has plans to support the camera to be used in Aperture on Snow Leopard?

Very doubtful there will be anymore support updates for Snow Leopard v10.6.8, security update possibly.
If you are thinking of upgrading to Mountain Lion, make sure Mac meets the requiremetns Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.

How do I get LR3 and CS5 read Nikon P7700 raw files?

Just bought a Nikon P7700 so I can use the Raw feature. CS5 and LR3 do not read the P7700 Raw Files....does Adobe have an update and/or plugin for this?

It depends.....if your normal route into PS is through Lightroom and the "Edit in..." process, then no you won't need to update PS as well as Lightroom will handle the Raw conversion. But if you have a need to directly open raw files into Photoshop's ACR plug-in, then yes you would need to upgrade PS as well.

No Nikon D3100 raw support with Aperture 2

I have Aperture 2, and have recently bought a Nikon D3100. All updates have been made, and I am able to see the raw files with Preview. But they are still not recognized by the Aperture 2 application.
Is it a bug? What gives?

With all due respect this has nothing to do with "gaming". LR2 users can't update to ACR6 either, same situation.
I feel frustrated. Now I'll have to start using other application, since I will not continue to invest on an application that does not update raw support and tries to game me into upgrading.
So you're willing to buy a whole new application instead of paying for the $99 upgrade? And this application will offer you lifetime support for any new camera bodies, no upgrades required, ever? Hmm...
It's the reality of software: at some point, you need to upgrade. Like it or not.
The advantages of AP3 over AP2 for any serious photographer are well worth the minimal upgrade cost. The RAW updates last for the life cycle of the product they're aimed at. When a new version comes out support usually follows. This isn't necessarily fun but pretty standard all around.

She has forked out £5K for the Nikon D4s (which has been pointed out has RAW support from Adobe) but she uses Aperture which doesn't. So a £5k camera is sitting idle because Apple don't support it.

I am sure, Apple is working on the raw support for a new flagship professional Nikon camera. They can only start to work on the raw support, after the camera has been released, so it usually takes a few months, i.e., when the camera differs considerably from the predecessor.
Your client has several options, while waiting:
Shoot raw&jpeg and use the jpegs as original files, until the raw support will be available; later she can switch to the raw originals.
Use the software that came with the camera to develope the raw and convert them to another lossless format, e.g.TIFF.
Work with Nikon's software for the time being.

What is a rough estimate when raw files for the Nikon D7200 will be supported please? Tis Raw format is not supported as of yet.

"I use Nikon's Capture NX-D which I downloaded for free from Nikon's site. Easy install and reads the 7200's RAW files just fine. It's a bit clunkier to me than CameraRAW but that could just be a learning curve/familiarity issue more than anything. Capture seems to do an okay job of processing the RAW files and most of the familiar tools are there but honestly I've done very little RAW editing with the software. Instead what I do is make sure the image is not too far off in any particular direction but is instead fairly well exposed. If not perfectly, right? From there I use the NX-D to convert the RAW file to a TIF as has been suggested. Then I open Adobe Bridge CS6 and point it at the folder containing these newly created TIFs. Once they are up on the board I right click on the one I want to work with and instruct the software to 'open in CameraRAW' and viola! My TIF is now open in RAW and I can use all the tools as if I were working with a DNG or NEF. Once to this point the workflow goes back to normal."

Nikon Df RAW support?

I just purchased a new Nikon Df. I quickly discovered that Lightroom 5.2 doesn't recognize my files. I don't understand. Isn't it a D4 sensor? What should I do. I always shoot in RAW.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you, it seems. I upgraded to Nikon Df (from D90); and purchased Lightroom explicitly to manage the better photos I'm taking with the Df. I'm astounded that Lightroom won't even import the files from the camera or the flash drive, or recognize them (or the jpegs) after manually transfering them to the library.
Regarding the explanations here (generally that Adobe has to "reverse engineer" compatibility after the camera is released), all of this might be a truism but it reflects a failure of Adobe to have a business relationship with Nikon. This is *software*, it can/should be licensed. Apparently [to me], either Adobe or Nikon [or both] are unwilling to license it for business reasons that I'm sure we will never know. This is simply what modern software companies do if they claim to "support" 3rd party hardware and/or file formats. "Reverse engineering" this kind of compatibility just doesn't seem likely to ever produce a good software product.
Even more interesting, while poking around Adobe's support site, I ran across this incredibly interesting footnote [yes I'm the kind of person that reads footnotes] about Nikon RAW support on http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.html which reads:

The target of the "Get more information" link is an interesting read if you're a PR professional or an attorney. They should just come out and say that Nikon support is "limited" or "minimal" or something to that effect. Perhaps "slipshod, cheap, and half-***" would be more forthright; but this would never get past the VPs at either company. Ha.
Meanwhile, a couple questions on the Nikon side:
Do we know if View NX supports these files? The Nikon site at https://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18710/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzg2NTA 2NjU2L3NpZC9QZjJGR2lIbA%3D%3D says that the latest version added support for D5300 and Df.
There is a Nikon NEF codec at http://www.nikonimglib.com/nefcodec/. Do we know if this has any effect on LR compatibility?
I'll certainly subscribe to this post to see what others know, and look for LR updates; but I'm not very optimistic.

Nikon p7100 raw support.

I have no problem importing raw files but I would like to know if the P7100 "profile" in aperture does automatic distortion correction and automatic chromatic aberation correction the same as the build in jpg engine in the camera.

Nikon D200 Raw Support

Hi there,
I purchased Aperture immediately it came out in December 2005 at the same time I got my new Nikon D200. Now some 3 months later I still cannot use Aperture for my Raw files from the D200.
Does anyone else have this same problem and/or does anyone have any info as to when this anomaly may be corrected. I have contacted Apple some time ago by telephone but as yet no response. The guy I spoke with said he would pass on my query.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide as I am very frustated with lack of info in this regard.

While routing through iPhoto 6's package structure, looking for names of months and days on calendars to translate into Irish Gaelic, I came upon something interesting. There are strings embedded in iPhoto 6 that match most available raw formats--even ones that aren't supported at all by OS X (such as Pentax's PEF files).
Hopefully 10.4.6 and/or further evolutions of OS X 10.4 will introduce more raw formats.

How does a little shop with a few programmers turn their code around this quickly, and a HUGE shop like Apple cannot?
I used Bibble back in the days when Nikon Capture was the only other player. I am downloading a trial of 4.5 Pro..

Relating to changes to the OS changing the rendering of RAW images, this from BibbleLabs on their update:
"Some users of previous version of Bibble had perceived color that wasn't quite right in certain of their canon images. Based upon that feedback, we have gone and reworked some of the internal processing code and reprofiled the Canon .CR2 based cameras. This has resulted in better canon color then ever before and elimination of occasional green casts in the shadows. While we were at it, we also rebalanced the exposure tables of these cameras to better match results from in camera images.
Please be warned however, that since the color balance of the profiles has changed, previous .bib files and edits to existing files may be slightly off, and need to be reedited. In particular if you have images that you have previously set manual white balance on, be sure to reset their settings (Ctrl-R) and reedit."
