Can't seem to download adobe flash player to allow videos on you tube..tried a few times, but no luck..any ideas?

Where are you downloading it from? download it directly from adobe, then run the installer that should go into your downloads folder

It seems that going to Preferences>Security> Check allow plug ins, then manage sites, and then allowing one site allows all??? Seems like a lot to go through. I have installed the player 4 times now and just got it figured out!

You can check the version under Apple Menu > System Preferences > Flash Player. Did you quit and restart Safari after the install?

Hi guys,
We are currently deploying Windows 7 out to all Staff and Student PCs, we've had it on our IT Department's PCs for the past year and have had no issues with Flash Player and Youtube.
However, a Tutor reported that when they go to YouTube and select a video it buffers, plays a second or so and then goes to 'An Error Occurred, Please Try Again Later'.
If we disable Shockwave Flash Object it redirects to the HTML5 website and that works fine.
Software:
OS: Windows 7 Professional 32bit
CPU: Various (Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel i5, Intel Xeon E5
RAM: 2-4GB DDR2, 4GB DDR3,
Browser: IE10, Mozilla Firefox v19 and v24
Adobe Flash Player ActiveX: v11.8.800.175
Adobe Flash Player Plug-in: v11.8.800.168
Diagnostics:
Tried completely uninstalling Adobe Flash Player, restarting PC, installing Adobe Flash Player
Tried Adobe Flash Player Beta
Tried disabling Hardware Acceleration
Uninstalled IE10, Tried on IE8, Same Issue
Tried removing all Computer and User Policies
Checked if it was a VLAN issue but is happening on both 10.32.x.x (student) and 10.64.x.x (staff)
Tried on IE9 same issue
Scrolling along the seek bar at the bottom shows all of the stills fine.
Enable ActiveX Filtering resolves the issue but that's just because it goes to HTML5 too.
Any help is appreciated

I am also facing similar issue. I tried literally all solutions and then finally gave up and reinstalled windows 7 after clean format,
Immediately after fresh OS installation,Youtube just worked once with flash player for hardly 3 to 5 seconds and then crashed with error "an error occured please try again later- Learn More"
Tried reloading that same youtube video which initially worked for 5 seconds,but on second try it won't load at all.Tried all the other videos as well and same result,they won't play even for one second and same error "an error occured.."
Scrolling along the seek bar of stuck youtube video shows vid's still images just fine but video won't play at all.
Tried it with firefox,IE,Chrome and same result.
Youtube works fine with Html5 player.
Until 5 days back everything was working just fine, maybe either flashplayer got updated or Youtube changed anything which is causing this problem.
I even did a clean windows 8 install on another pc and that pc is also showing same symptoms.

After Flash Player, the youtube videos stop working after 1st second.

Hi guys,
I have a couple of Dell pc's with win7 professional 64bit.
Some of them on IE10 and other's on IE11.
The thing is after the installation of the latest Flash Player version, the videos on YouTube stop after the 1st second.
If I remove the Flash Player the YouTube works fine.
Anyone have the same problem?

Hi again,
I found the "source" of the issue, the pc's don't have speakers, so after I plug in some headphones the YouTube run without problems.
So there is any way to configure Flash Player to do not search for "playback devices"?

How can i run older versions of flash player on youtube etc without being prompted to update my flash player/not being able to use the old version?

i want to run adobe flash player 10.3 on youtube etc because it has little to no fps lag on videos compared to the newer versions of adobe flash on my current laptop. is there any way to disable the checking of my flash player version in firefox so i wont be prompted to upgrade and i can use flash 10.3 to watch videos? plz help ty.

I have Safari 7.0, and when I go to youtube, it says that I need the latest flash plug-in, and I keep downloading it but it's still saying the same thing. Flash plug-ins are already enabled in Safari preferences, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Yes, done all that but there is no adobe flash player listed in the add ons >plug ins site. However in the program listings on the start section adobe flash player is displayed.
I have tried down loading it again and although I have done this from downloads and it displays as done it does not reappear in plug ins.

Flash Player and Youtube

I can view some videos at Youtube in Flash Player, but other videos ask me to download the latest Flash Player. I have done this, re-booted, but Youtube keeps asking me to download the latest player.
Can anyone help.

Flash player disables Youtube OS X

2 systems - MacPro with 10.7.5, Mac Mini Intel with 10.6. Both hardwired to network.
Latest flash player updates interfere with YouTube playback. Videos will play about 30 seconds and freeze with no audio and the "loading" symbol. Pausing the video gives me the "Experiencing Interruptions" bar (which Google uses to let DSL providers advertise - it's not a useful diagnostic tool).
Videos may play eventually - for a few more seconds. I've tried all Flash Player settings (after checking DSL and modem speed, etc.)
Un-installing flash player is an immediate fix.
Anyone else experiencing this?
(I won't upgrade the mac pro OS until late winter - it will mean needing a new Pro Tools interface and a paid PT upgrade (I'm well out of PT upgrade path) so $1k+ - I'll be buying a new Mac Pro or iMac at this time.)

PC Freeze Using New Flash Player and Youtube/Vimeo

I just recently upgraded my flash player to the newest version. No problems with Youtube before, but now there is a major conflict. Whenever I try to load a youtube video, my computer freezes. I have about 10 seconds or so where I can move the mouse/cursor, but no input is available. And then my montior goes into sleep mode because it thinks my PC is in sleep mode. The PC fans are still running but no input is accepted. The only fix is to reboot, and then then next time it happens again.
The problem is not Youtube because I have the same problem on Vimeo. And it's not firefox, I have the same problem on IE. And Firefox is fully updated.
I've tried the usual uninstall and reinstall of flash and it didn't help.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the info, but now that you've reverted back to FP vs 9, there is no way to have you check files/settings etc.
I would only be guessing and that wouldn't be helpful.
Flash Player updated yesterday and you can see the versions at this site. Note that the version for Windows that use the IE browsers is different than Windows that uses the plugin browsers. Of course the Installer links will Install the appropriate version.

I have huge hang issues with certain sites which are flash player heavy (Youtube, Kongregate, but even Gmail). What to do?

Mac user, OS X 10.6, Firefox 5.0.1, Shockwave Flash Player 10.3 r181. I've been doing fine up until yesterday and today. I could access Youtube just fine last night, but not today. Chrome and Safari have the same problem. I've tried to see whether the network configuration was the problem, it doesn't seem to be though. Nor are the plugins.

The problem seems to have resolved itself. Restarted my macbook for the umpteenth time and now it works again. Hooray!

I've read previous posts on this issue, including the replies to "You Tube not working ONLY in Safari", posted Feb 24th.
My macbook pro - Safari Version, 5.0.3 (5533.19.4, )- is working fine, but for some reason my iMac Safari, with same software and settings has decided not to play Adobe Flash Player.
I have uninstalled Flash player and reinstalled many times
I have deleted cookies as per Carolyn Samit's suggestion using renmoval tool at http://machacks.tv/2009/01/27/flushapp-flash-cookie-removal-tool-for-os-x/
I have emptied Safari cache several times
I have done a permissions repair
I have restarted the iMac many times
I have even tried loading an older version of flash player plugin
I have turned off the extensions tab in Safari preferences
I have unhid the develop Menu, and selected another User Agent with no success.
Still, evey time I load a page with flash content I get the message:
*Please install the latest version of the free Adobe Flash Player. Download now.*
*For help with Flash, see Adobe's Flash Player Support page.*
I've dowloaded the latest version of Flash player three times, but stiil no resolution.
*Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.*

ok, no plugins are working -
Check firstly that the plugin files exist - paste this into safari's address bar & press enter
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
look in that folder - there should be several .plugin files, including Flash, usually.
If that checks out - test Safari in a a New User Account & depending on the result, we'll know whether to look for a system-wide reason, or (perhaps more likely) something in your usual user account.
If a new account behaves normally by showing a result in Safari-Help-Installed Plug-Ins,then switch back to the regular user, and start by quitting Safari & moving this file to the desktop
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
then try it again.

Flash player and youtube video in iphone 3gs

I just got an iphone 3gs 16gb on a plan with 3 mobile here in Perth, Australia. My iphone doesn't have a youtube application in it and i cant play any flash contents either. the main concern is that i cant play any video in youtube. does anyone have any explanations for this????

YouTube is standard to most country's iPhones. The only reason if not would be countries like China who require software patches on the iPhone for site and program restrictions.

Flash is not supported as the others have said. Everyone insisted Flash be included but the only 3.0 patch I've noticed recently is Java and animation artworks.
For example the AT&T progress bar moves now or viewing Grand Theft Auto sites for guides like finding Burger Shot I did yesterday the dots were animated now.

Flash player vs. youtube problem

Aparently I have a conflict in my laptop, trying to play
youtube videos with the latest version of flash is imposible;
download forever, b4 update to the last version I can play it with
no problem.
I don't know if is a conflict with the new sp3 (windows xp)
and the new flash.

If this issue is only encountered on www.youtube.com , and
you can view Flash content on all other sites, Google has some
