HT1338 remove microsoft silverlight from a MacPro laptop

I use an hotmail account tosend/receive email, this accessed thru google. I recently downloaded a microsoft silverlight add-on and am now unable to open incoming email, the message heading is noted but the email is not opened.
Has a similar problem been encountered and how was it fixed? Any comment

Tough to tell, but I wouldn't think under normal circumstances Silverlight would be the cause of this.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Please post results.

How do i remove my iCloud from my work laptop?

I have a mini mac at home, an ipad and iphone. they are all synced up and backed up to icloud.
I also have it all running through my work laptop and i need to remove it all.
I've been in system preferences to mail, contacts calendars and unchecked 'enabled account' but it won't let me delete, so if i tick enable again - all my proivate emails show up again.
And i'm worried about deteing all contacts, calendars and emails incase they are deleted from all the other devices?
I have already been in itunes, logged in and the worklaptop is not 'authorised'
Not sure what else to try?

Signing out of iCloud does not delete any data from the iCloud servers. It just removes it from the computer or iOS device that you are using. If you want to back up your data before you sign out, you can do that by following the different steps in the second article.

No can do. sorry. There are apps in the App Store you can buy, such as Pages (for word documents) and numbers (for excel spreadsheets), but there is no way to move your Microsoft software on to your iPad, even if you have it on an Apple Laptop. They are totally different operating systems..

I've got some indexing problems on one of our computers in Outlook and i want to just completely remove Microsoft Office from the machine. I've gooled this and only see instructions for Lion and the files dont seem to be located in the same place for ML. Anyone had success doing this?

BT Cloud - Deleted App from Old PC Laptop Now Cann...

I removed BT Cloud from an old laptop now it seems that my BT Cloud has gone. I cannot sign in anywhere, i.e. on my MacBook, iPad or desktop. The annoying thing the signing in process gives no indication as to what's occuring. When I enterd my Cloud ID and password the page justs refreshes and gives no indication of a problem. I've tried changing my pasword and for some reason I laned out changing my email password.
Does anyone know what's occuring please?

I have been using the www.mlb.com website to listen and watch games ...they made some sort of upgrade and now I can not hear the game on the video stream or audio only stream, I have tried it in both safari & firefox web browser. The www.mlb.com help forum says to remove the silverlight program and install the beta of Flip4Mac. Installing flip4mac was easy I just clicked on the download button. You need to install Office on the computer from the installer DVD or disc image you purchased.

Now I can’t reinstall my CS4 because the installer software wants me to identify the product from which I am upgrading, but mine isn’t on the list. The old product from which I am upgrading is called ‘Adobe Design Collection’. Furthermore, it has 4 serial numbers (one each for Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Illustrator), not just one, as the installer requires.
I know this can be done, as I have had it working for a long time. Am I doing something wrong now?

Contact support be web chat and have them generate a working temporary serial/ challenge code for the install.

I tried dragging the icons to the trash bin and I also tried dragging the icons away from the dock, but they just kee bouncing back to the dock. Please help!

Try deleting the Dock settings file. Open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Preferences. Then, delete "com.apple.dock.plist", and finally, open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities) and type:
killall Dock
This will restore Dock to factory settings, so iWork applications and Microsoft apps will be deleted from Dock

Copied from a page that helped me:
I followed someone else's advice and found all the silverlight files in "INVISIBLE FILES".
In the Finder, choose File > Find or press Command (⌘)-F.
From the far-left pop-up menu (labeled “Kind”), choose Other.
In the list of search attributes, select the “File invisible” checkbox, and then click OK.
In the related menu, choose Invisible Items.
once loaded go to folder Private
then to folder VAR
then folder db
then folder Receipts
scroll to any com.microsoft.silverlight item and delete. there are a bunch of them.
close, restart and install silverlight.
