Why is this happening I have a OS X 10.8.1 (12B19) already installed but he update will not install, as a matter of a fact the update does not even come up in teh appstore. I recently purchased the MacBookPro in May 2012, and updated with the new OS X came out. I am new to MAC but enjoying it. What do I need ot do. Please do not say go back to the App Store.

Just bought a MacBook Pro 13" Retina for my wife (yesterday). Having the same issue, iPhoto wont install, says i need 8.2. But I cant update to that version. Tried the App Store, but it says this computer is not compatible with that OS (really). Tried the link above, and it wont install becauase it says there is not enough room on the harddrive. I love Apple products, but the last month everything is buggy. This is kind of the last straw for me. Please help.

I used the combo updater, http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581, that works OK. Update iPhoto after using the combo updater.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
Kep trying.

Where is it deleting the photos from? The Camera Roll? The Photo Stream album?
Have you exceeded one of the limits? The Photo Stream album will only keep the last 1000 photos and may remove the older photos, if you have more than 1000 photos in the stream.

When I want to update my app a different account comes up now. Wierd. It's the family plan owners id...why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Did you by chance accidentally purchase these app with the different account?
Because all apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.
You can also check settings - appstore - apple id - if it isn't your id, log out and log in with your id.

Some of my purchases aren't showing up in my Purchase History in the iTunes store, why is this happening?

Today, I decided to update my iPod touch via the iTunes store on the actual iPod itself. My iPod hasn't been updated via computer for over a year now because I'm afraid to lose all of my other songs, since my computer crashed a while back and I lost all of my songs. That's why I decided to update it with the purchases I previously made through the iTunes store, that way, it would just add those purchases instead of delete and replace all of the other songs. I know for a fact that my iPod doesn't have any of the new purchases I just made on it, but when I went into my Purchases in the iTunes Store, on both my iPod and computer, there were a lot of songs missing. I know that I purchased them and I purchased them using the same Apple ID because I only have one. The strange thing is, a few weeks ago, those songs showed up in my purchases and I was able to download them into my iTunes playlist on my computer via iCloud, but now that I want to put them on my iPod, a lot of my songs have gone missing. What could have happened?
Also, when I go into the iTunes Store and look up the songs that I know I've purchased, it says "Play" in the grey bar, but it doesn't show up for download?
For added information: These songs that are missing are in my iTunes library. I purchased a bunch of Sleeping With Sirens songs and Florida Georgia Line's whole album and those are all missing from my purchases in the store. It says I have one song purchased for Sleeping With Sirens in my purchases and it's a music video, but I know that I have more than just that.

Quick glance at your file, 'Text8' Element animats in fine in Chrome. But from what I can gather, all your other elements 'Text7' down to 'Text' are empty?
Meaning therre is nothing in them. While they exist and you attempt to animate them, they are empty so there is nothing to 'see' beyond the text that exists i element 'Text8'.
The other elements needs to have text in them.
Hope this makes sense.

Since uploading to 6.0 I cannot play any games on Facebook as it does not allow me to post to wall, send requests or even open half the games yet IE will work still, why is this happening?

We installed Firefox 6.0 yesterday [Aug 17th] on our computer. Since that time I have had serious issues with trying to play the games on FACEBOOK. The system will not allow me to send out friend requests, post to the wall and for the flash type games those won't even load at all.

Ever since you instructed me to reset my firefox to defaults, I have dropped from the server 6-12 times a day, why is this happening,

I had some problems, got a ticket issued, was told to reset all to defaults on firefox. I did that, now the last 2 days, I have had more than 12 times where firefox cannot connect with the server. It does work sometimes., but it seems to be getting worse. I am certain it is not the hardware in this case. It was not until I saw a search engine called Whitesmoke in the search field, that problems began. I went through all the recommended ways to remove and ultimately I was successful, I think, could the server problem be caused by this Whitesmoke search engine hijacker? Please provide a solution, I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this. My system has also slowed down to a snails pace since I reset to your defaults, what can be done about that?

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
